Kinkajou is real!
Made a paper dragon puppet of Kinkajou! Isn't she adorable? :]
She is especially good at taking up space... I made her WAY too big

I recently tried my hand at making a paper dragon puppet for the first real time — and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out! The character is Temeraire from His Majesty’s Dragon.
Lately, I’ve been in a pretty low rut due to job loss and some difficult health realizations. But for the first time in a long while, I felt a real spark of creativity — and, even better, I actually had the energy to act on it!
I’ve also been able to truly read and focus on a book again, something I haven’t managed in ages. Naturally, I revisited His Majesty’s Dragon by the ever-talented Naomi Novik. So here’s to her and her wonderful writing, which has inspired so many — myself included!
Here’s a still image to show off some of the finer details!
Materials used:
Card stock of unknown weight (left over from my teaching days)
Crayola watercolor pencils
Staedtler pigment liner (0.5)
Posca pens
Everything is held together by a lot of hot glue… seriously, an alarming amount of hot glue.
(Tagging @naominovik to hopefully make her smile with my goofy work.
TF OC Dragons 1
(+ 1 wyvern, Prism)
Part one of turning peoples’ TF OCs’ dragons into origami!
In order:
Grimsnatch- black with pale blue spots, yellow eyes ( @that-introverted-siren-boi )
Hatchetfall- rust red with black skeleton, green eyes ( @death-flies-on-swift-wings )
Wattson- yellow with blue lightning stripes ( @mage-thunder )
Taro- pink with red and yellow splotches on legs and face ( @llightupthenight )
Daisy- pink and white, fluffy, blue eyes ( no blog I think but @kawaiilizzie )
Prism- wyvern, iridescent pale blue with pale “tattoo” patterns, mirror underwings, silver eyes ( @cassidythemirror )
Fun facts for Prism specifically: they do have front legs, they’re just folded up / into the wings, and I did go in after folding with a metallic silver paint marker to do the backs of the wings.
Also, I did all the dragons eyes after folding with glitter pen. I got glitter all over my fingers somehow because of it
Lmk who else’s dragons I should do!

I've made something new 🫠
You guys may know that I draw hazbin hotel stuff and what not... But I'm also a dragon puppeteer. I have been for over a year now, and I've improved SO MUCH in that time.
I decided to do a remake of one of my first dragons, and I think it turned out SO GOOD.
She was originally an angel, but she ended up falling from heaven. I don't have much more on her yet.
I spent a full WEEK of CONSTANT working on her!
Here's the original...
Horrible, I know. And this is the remake!
She was originally supposed to have a moving eye and articulating top wing, both on the angel side... but I ran into quite a few issues.
The top wing on the angel side was ORIGINALLY supposed to be white and gold like the bottom wing. But when I was trying to attach the feathers to the articulating piece... I HATED how it looked. I tried peeling the feathers off, but they just broke because they're foam.
I didn't have anymore white foam, so I used black instead.
I don't yet have a name for her, so drop your ideas for names in the comments!
Also, message me if you want to make matching dragons, my fellow dragon puppeteers! I've never done a matching dragon before, so I'll do one with whoever messages me first.
