For those of you who are a little more seasoned in the MaDD community, this may be a bit of a flash from the past.

For those of you who are new to this (like I am) here is the entry on it from Luka and Emory’s THE ULTIMATE DAYDREAMER’S GUIDE:

What’s that mean for me? Well, I know nobody’s done this in a while, but I DON’T CARE!!! Finals season is kicking my ass, so I wanna celebrate when it’s over. That being said…

I’m hosting my own paraday all day on May 13th! (Because that’s the day of my last final exam!)

Starring… drumroll please… badabadabada…

Though that doesn’t mean guest appearances are fully ruled out~ 👀

So, how does this thing work?

For 24 hours (or however long I’m awake) I’m turning over control of this blog (because I am not making these chuckleheads their own blogs) to the four paras I mentioned above. That means, they can make posts, reblog each other’s posts, and/or answer asks! If all goes well, I won’t be making a peep as myself on this blog for the whole day.

Each post is going to be color-coded and signed off with a corresponding emoji, as follows:

Blah! Blah! Blah! -🔥

If you’re still confused, the para’s name will be tagged with their usual tag:

#chronicled: [para name]

The usual warnings may still apply: Strong/vulgar language, mentions of violence/death, crude/rude humor, etc. etc.

If you plan on participating in this event by sending asks or interacting with para posts on that day, I will assume you are aware of the above warnings and the possibility of my paras mentioning something potentially triggering, unless you reach out to me beforehand either through DMs or asks.

MaDD Events/Challenges

I get too nostalgic sometimes lmao 🥲 if you remember any of these then...uhm...I guess we're the senior citizens of the Daydreaming Community! Part of me wants to make something like these again, but the logistics are too much to think about right now.

PARADAY

Paraday was created by @sunshinemadd (and possibly @maladaptive-dreamer ?) and was a one-day event in which a MaDDer let their para(s) "run" their blog. Throughout the day, the MaDDer would make posts, answer questions, etc. as if their para(s) were doing it instead of them. It was also common for some to make whole blogs for their paras, which were called "parabogs". As someone who participated in both, I can safely say that all of it was just RPing as your paras lol.

Unfortunately, the creator has since deactivated and finding posts pertaining to the event is hard. So far, I've only been able to find this post pertaining to it, which includes tips on how to go about it. I also found this doc that organizes all/most of(?) the participants (including me!)

From my memory this was very short lived, around Feb-Mar of 2019 I believe.

PARAMAY

Started by @madd-utopia [source], Paramay is a monthly challenge that's supposed to mimick Inktober, inspired by Paraday. It was supposed to allow MaDDers to share info about their paras through art, writing, moodboards, etc. Paramay was hosted on the blog @paramay-challenge and ran from 2019-2021.

SEPARATEMPER

Like Paramay, Separatemper was a monthly challenge that let MaDDers share info about their paras thanks to a prompt list. Despite the similarities, the Separatember creator wasn't aware of Paramay until after the fact [source]. I wasn't able to find who started it, as the original Separatember blog has since been deactivated. That one ran from 2019-possible 2020?

There is another Separatember blog, @separatember, which is run by @daydreaming-memories. It was more of a general prompt blog than solely for Separatember, however, and never got the chance to do an official prompt list before becoming inactive. It ran from 2021-2022.

Tips for paradays

To be clear, I have not yet hosted a paraday and I am not the creator of this idea - the lovely @sunshinemadd is :) I just know this is what I’ll hope to see on paradays!

1. Share some basic info on your para, obviously! Name, age, gender, some basic likes and dislikes - just enough to get people interested :)

2. Reblog things that fit with your para, even if they don’t fit with your normal blog. That way, people can get a better idea of who your para is!

3. Find OC question posts and use them for your para. That way people have a frame of reference for the types of questions to ask you (I’ll also be creating some specifically for paras!)

4. Be active on other blogs as your para. If you know another paraday is happening at the same time, go to that blog and ask them things as your para! Comment on posts as your para. Little things like that can help you get in character.

5. If you’ve made posts about this para in the past, reblog them to remind people! Again - just even more information about your para :)

🐇 When is this happening?

This paraday is going to be hosted Monday, March 18, in my time (EST). I don't have set time, but you will all be given a notice a few minutes/hours before it starts :3

🐇 What’s a paraday?

A paraday is basically a day where a MaDDer lets their para(s) run their blog for an entire day! (Or, however long the person wants to act like their paras n such). More information on it here.

🐇 Who’s Blair?

Blair is a very smol child that's one of my earlier paras. She's why kelly hates rowan & why rowan is so depressed rn—bc she died. But!! This paraday is taking place before Blair died. Idk how a 3 yr old managed to get on this fucking hellsite or how Kelly and Rowan let this happen, but we're going with it.

(Because of this, I might have rowan interact with her a bit on @a-circus-full-of-demons, but idk yet)

Please keep in mind what Blair is like 3, aka a CHILD, so uh no nsfw questions. Here are some ideas/suggestions on what to ask (this will probably be updated as I think of stuff u can ask):
