paramour floorplan? 👀
Thank you for the reminder! Let's get into it.
So, I've managed to cobble together both ground floor and upper level floorplans (but not basement ones, insufficient data :( )
I elected to colour code them for sharing since they were borderline-incomprehensible to the layperson otherwise.
Additional notes include:
Bob and Mikey's rooms as shown are explicitly supported by interviews. Bob was the only member of the band staying on the ground floor!!
The other room assignations are best-guess based on the sparse details available, and should not be taken as word of god.
Frank's suite is the only one with a proper balcony. Gerard has a porch at the top of their exterior staircase, but it's not functional in the same way.
The unassigned bedroom on the first floor was likely used by Rob Cavallo during the recording process. He talks about sleeping over there on a number of occasions.
It seems very possible to me that the living room and dining room locations were swapped during the era that the band stayed there -- photos over the years are inconsistent (it seems to swap back and forth a bunch)
The stairs in the kitchen go up to the first floor, and also down to the basement. There's an entire other kitchen in the basement, as well as the laundry. Apparently doing laundry was A Task because the basement was spooky as fuck.
The spiral staircase in the "tower" in the inner courtyard goes to what would have historically been the servant's quarters, and is only accessible externally on the ground floor, and internally on the second floor. There's no other access to that space.
I'll include un-coloured floorplans under the cut :)
