*stumbles into the tag* Hey, guys. I wanna point something out with this scene:
And then this scene:
This implies that Karl's gone a rampage until he exhausted his demonic powers at least once before.
Thanks for your time.
I think I’ve finally pieced together early Paris and Ren:
Paris notifies Eriole/the Imperial Guard about Lugina working with another Summoner, giving them Ren’s description in Lomass Forest. By the time they all get to Cordelica Mine, Paris has gotten the information that:
1. Ren is the Summoner who solidified Akras’ control over Mistral by single-handedly killing Maxwell.
2. Ren is regarded as the strongest member of the Regular Army, able to match even a Demon Slayer Captain in terms of combat ability, though this isn’t as widely known as Paris initially assumed.
3. Ren has quite a few interesting connections to well-known members of the Hall, such as Karl and Grahdens.
4. Ren holds the title of “Assistant Instructor” in Akras Summoners’ Academy, but in reality, she’s been given as much authority as a regular Instructor.
So, Paris uses this information to her advantage in both the Tower of Light and Cordelica Mine. She sees Ren in action against Grantos and is thoroughly impressed.
But then, after Cordelia, Paris gets some information that sours her opinion of both this rising-star Summoner and, even further, Akras itself: Ren’s juvenile criminal records that date back to her early Academy days, as well as the probation she had received shortly before she was called by Lucius. To Paris, Akras not only let this (former) felon teach their recruits, but let her keep her teaching job (In the eyes of Akras, Ren was justified in the actions she took that night, but still has to serve the sentence she was given.) But, Ren is also counted among their strongest warriors, so Paris is still urged to recruit by her higher-ups.
So, come Lizeria, Paris hides her disgust as she dangles pardoning and a complete and total expungement in front of Ren i.e. wiping her record off the face of all and every database, in exchange for allegiance.
And Ren has absolutely none of it. Both for even thinking of trying to get her to switch sides, what she offers, and why. Ren picks up that Paris is only seeing her as a law-breaker with advantageous connections, though one that also killed two Fallen Gods at this point, despite being given the full account. And with the inclusion of emphasizing what’s “bad” about Akras and what’s “good” about Eriole’s cause without much substance, Ren believes trying to explain at this point would only fall on deaf ears.
Paris: "Now release all of the sounds that ate trapped in your mind."
Ren: *pterodactyl screech*
Paris: "Are you okay?"
Ren: "I'm a little messed up.
--Bada Fana--
"We'll take care of them!" Karl declared. He, Seria, and Tilith charged at the large group of monsters.
Paris inched away from the conflict. "And I'll just be over here with these--" As she turned around, she felt something warm wrap tightly around her torso. She looked down and saw that it was white and glowing. Before she could register the source, she was pulled backwards and made to face an upset-looking Ren.
I like to imagine Paris and Ren getting into a playfully-passive-aggressive game with each other and with the public once Paris becomes regarded as a likely candidate for Prime Minister of Randall and the media starts asking Ren about her opinion of Paris, as the opinion of someone as famous as Ren no doubt has quite a bit of sway on the public’s opinion...which is something that secretly bothers Ren a lot when the subject is the future state of Elgaia, but she doesn’t publicly say that.
Started with a reporter asking Ren out of the blue if she supports Paris, and Ren of course doesn’t give a straight answer, but does give insight into her mentality as to why. When Paris gets interviewed, she’s asked about her opinion on Ren’s answer to being asked about whether or not she supports her. Paris states simply that she thinks Ren is absolutely justified in answering the way she did. She says she knows Ren is a very critical person and is just using her influence to make sure that the right people are being elected for better reasons than “A famous person has her support”. Paris deliberately looks straight at the camera when she says that Ren will have nothing to worry about with her, as she will be a Prime Minister who will strive for the betterment of all Elgaia and its people, not just Randall’s. From then on, it just becomes a back-and-forth on getting one’s opinions on something the other said/did until Paris gets elected.
Though, if Paris had some less-than-savory opponents, Ren would definitely use her influence more to sway the public in Paris’ favor.

Peak Ren and Paris friendship is Paris explaining to Eriole that Ren taunting with Melfel while they're all squaring off in the Lab's Trial Area when Eriole was about to yell at Ren for not taking the matter seriously is just how Ren operates, because he still doesn't exactly Know how Ren truly operates, and right now, Ren is acting like she isn't taking the Clown Bastard seriously becasue that's exactly what Clown Bastard wants.
Ren and Eriole also warn Paris to have her guard up higher than normal, because Melfel's Affinity is Earth and Paris' is Thunder.
