*clears throat* hiya, Iris West fans. I'm planning on writing a fic where Iris and Linda get to shop for Halloween costumes. Needless to say... anybody have ideas for what costumes could Iris try out? Bc I'm planning to make those kind of scenes and it'll involve some thirsting on Linda's part. 😌

Barrisco, Savisco and Parkwest for the ship bingo pleaaase :)

Barrisco:

I mean…I’ve made a whole post gushing about them (with some fantastic additions in the reblogs), I couldn’t possibly sum that up in a few words 😭 they’re just!! I love them sm!! Basically soulmates, adorable sweethearts, complementing each other in powers AND in personality, each other’s biggest fans…truly how do I sum them up they are EVERYTHING

The only way to improve them is to throw Iris in the mix for Barriscowest. And frankly, Barriscowest is basically canon, ESPECIALLY in s4. Like!! I’m turning incoherent because I’m so obsessed with them 😅 but you get the idea. This is my non-canon OTP for both of them (…well, this and Barriscowest)

Savisco:

Okay so. SO. Savisco falls into the fun category of “Savitar makes every one of Barry’s dynamics so much more interesting.” And by that, I mean he turns them all toxic and it’s so fun to play around with 😂 I mean…Barry loves so fiercely but also so sweetly, and twisting that into possessive love is so, so fun.

And in addition…well, you can browse my Savisco tag (or yours, nan!) to see: there’s the intrigue even with canon Savitar of how he clearly still cares for Cisco to the point of making excuses not to directly hurt him (and this is not to excuse him triggering Cisco’s trauma ofc, that is unequally bad, but…he is still a villain, and it’s telling that he keeps pushing the task of actually directly hurting Cisco onto Killer Frost. Even though, really, he could do it himself). Not to mention how early s3 seems to suggest he wants to recruit Cisco and turn him into another Reverb…which, honestly, he should’ve and could’ve!

And!! The fic I wrote of Savisco tricking Cisco by pretending to be Barry, in an AU where Barrisco is established (and the follow-up of Savitar and Cisco talking about it)? Obsessed with that concept honestly. It’s SO perfect. And it makes me want to write more Savisco tbh, they compel meeee

I didn’t mark any of the three relationship-type squares (romantic, sexual, platonic), but that’s mostly because Savisco as a dynamic would depend on how the preceding Barrisco is. So my opinions on what Savisco’s dynamic would look like align with the Barrisco square (with the exception of sexual - I don't like reading smut in general, but idk, I think Savisco in particular is way more interesting without that aspect. The feelings by themselves, regardless of what they are, drive the intrigue of these ships for me. All my ships really (since ofc I don't read smut), but particularly ships like this, which are more twisted and unhealthy in nature)

Parkwest:

Adorable!! I go back and forth on this one too, but unlike the ships I tag as "ots" (an idea I picked up from @icedteaandoldlace!), I can pretty easily ship Parkwest (even if my Wallinda bias does also sometimes pull me in the sisters-in-law direction 😅). I've always had such a soft spot for these two :D and although I hate the drama the writers introduced for them in s1 (particularly how Iris is framed as a Barry/Linda saboteur when that is not what happened at all), I think they really shine in s2 🥰 I’ve read a couple Parkwest fics, but I need to read more fr

(I am also VERY glad that Parkwest is no longer used as a ship name for Wallinda, because I saw that in some older posts, and...oh boy, I'm sure that caused some real confusion when those two ships were referred to with the same name 😅 and I say that as a fan of both. Idk if it was ever a popular ship name for them, but it was at least somewhat of a thing)
