okay but bet money wally just assumes barry and cisco are dating.

like he and barry aren’t exactly close, so he gets most of his info about him secondhand from joe and iris so whenever he asks about barry they’re like “oh he’s with cisco”

and he thinks he remembers joe saying barry was dating joe’s partner at the the ccpd so it must be this cisco dude joe’s always talking about working with

cisco comes over for dinner one night and he and barry are sitting next to each other and they have all these inside jokes and they keep touching each other so yeah, boyfriends.

whenever he sees barry he’s like yes and how is cisco and barry’s like fine???

but he then goes on and on about some neat thing cisco just invented cause his bff is the coolest and wally’s like wow look at the love in his eyes

everyone hanging out and barry and cisco have to sneak out to go stop a meta and wally’s like those lovebirds

wally gets a SO and invites barry and cisco on a double date but they think he just wants to introduce them

barry and cisco going to grab dinner and inviting wally along but wally’s like nah i don’t wanna crash date night

and they’re like i’m sorry what now?

and wally just lists off all the “you two are clearly in a loving monogamous relationship” evidence

and cisco’s like no way we’re dating and i don’t even get to make out with barry

and barry’s like wait you wanna make out with me?

so they go to the movies and make out in the back row and it’s beautiful

i hate that i'm doing this because i don't want to bother her but does anyone know if @icedteaandoldlace is okay? i hadn't seen her post in a bit so i checked to send her a dm but it tells me her account has been deactivated. and it wouldn't do that if she just blocked me, right? it would say the blog doesn't exist but not add deactivated to her username? i can't find her on ao3 either.

i'm just a little worried and, since i haven't been around much lately, i was wondering if anyone knew anything? maybe she posted to say she was leaving tumblr and i missed it?

there is a world, darker probably, where Reverb discovered his powers and suffered through them, the headaches, the visions, the blood, the deaths of those versions of himself, of Dante, of everyone and everything.

he was a petty criminal, a stupidly arrogant one at that, that's for sure, but nothing more and nothing less. Zoom, no, Hunter still at the time, is the one who found him and Reverb had seen hazy images of him in his head, in his dreams, unreliable and terrifying, impressive.

Zoom sees a pretty thing in Reverb, first. not as gorgeous as Killer Frost but then he sees the possibility, the power and how he could have that pretty, stupidly arrogant boy at his mercy, working for him, terrified of him, in his hands. Zoom likes pretty things. powerful things. he likes to give them attention and care and hope and then get bored of that and scare them to their knees, have them trembling as they kill for him, with him sometimes maybe.

yes Reverb is scared, he's terrified of Zoom now and he hates him as much as he has to submit to his will. Reverb can't stand that he has none of the control he thought he would get, he was promised. over his powers, his life, this world. Reverb's not in control of anything and he suddenly feels, realizes that he has never been.

and the life Zoom controls? the lives? Reverb sees people around him liking it, loving it even. he sees Killer Frost and Deathstorm. he sees Dante, now Rupture, Killing and Killing and Killing like death incarnate and preening in front of Zoom. Reverb is a petty criminal, he's not a killer.

he makes others kill for him most of the time and it's not good he knows that, he accepts how bad of a man he is, how he's getting worse and worse each day. he hates it. each kill, either his or someone else's, Dante's especially, he vibes again and again and again. Reverb can't take it anymore.

Barry though? Barry is good. he's powerful, he's capable of being more powerful than Zoom and he's good, he gives control to Reverb, lets him say no. Reverb forgot how it felt to be able to say no, to not be terrified, before he met Barry, before he saw him more and more in his vibes as Zoom obsessed over him, made him his new target, the next piece in his collection and his cure. everything and Reverb sees him everywhere be good and kind and nice and adorable.

and Barry loves it when Reverb says no, actually. he loves it when Reverb gets arrogant and says no to his suggestions, his ideas, his questions to command something else, close, similar but his, entirely his.

can you imagine if we'd first met Linda through Iris at CCPN instead? and they'd been instant friends with Linda taking a liking to Iris and deciding that she was going to help her, she'd be her mama bear, absolutely. and more.

i imagine sometimes in the middle of the night, Cisco gets too cold and he turns and burrows into Barry. he mutters "'m cold" in his own hair and Barry runs his fingers through it to push it back as he koalas himself to Cisco and vibrates to generate more heat than necessary. it gets toasty and they both sigh and get back to sleep.

11/26 letters for 15 fics posted, i don't think it's that bad. it's more varied than i first thought it would be.

i liked doing this, it makes me want to come back to this list next time i write and want to find a title, like a little challenge of some sorts. it's fun. i did manage to have the only title using the also start with a T anyway which amused me when i noticed.
