Char huffed as she puts the screwdriver back and pulled out a wire cutter.

“Glad you can compliment a sentient being and a bunch of coding, yet you call me a dog; next time call Rover that and not me”

Rover gave a whine as Vanna huffed.

“I said sorry, how long can you hold a grudge for?”

Char pondered before glancing over to Vanna.

“Quite a long time, don’t underestimate me”

Char kept fiddling with headphones.

“So, what exactly do I do?”

Vanna went over to the bench and took out the materials needed.

“First thing would be to shape the material with the laser cutter”

Vanna flinched in surprise.

“You want me to metal cut? From assumption?”

Char put the wire cutters away and rolled her eyes.

“Computer, project sketch with dimensions”

Vanna looked as the garage door closed and a projector dropped down from above.

“What’s this?”

Char held a finger up to shush Vanna as the projector started up and displayed the sketch in a 3D model in the centre.

“It’s called a projector sweetheart, even a baby can recognise that”

Rover and Raptor gave a little sound of displeasure as Vanna sighed.

“So, I just interact with it then use the cutter?”

Char nodded as she looked at the headphones she finished fixing.

“You adjust it so that it fits to your dimensions, send the command to the cutter and place the material there, it will do the work; something a lot of people can’t do themselves”

Vanna knew Char’s attitude was a result of her frustration and just nodded in hopes to mend the pain.

“I-I guess I can try”

Vanna touched the projection model and moved it, so she can get the dimensions of it to fit her arm.

“This looks good, let me just”

Vanna went to grab some metal and walked over to what she assumed was the laser cutter.

“That’s the 3D modelmaker, opposite end”

Char didn’t even need to look up she got to work on the headset.

“Oh, how did- never mind”

Vanna decided not to question and went to the other side, finding the laser cutter this time.

“Place it on and I’ll do the rest”

Char took out a small electrical welder and some protective goggles.

“Are you sure?”

Char tossed one of the goggles at Vanna after she placed the metal on the cutter top.

“Put those on and don’t question or you can worry when you are blind”

Vanna puts the goggles on as Char put hers on.

“Computer, send dimensions to laser cutter thet-”
