I really shouldn't play the Sims during school because I meant to de-stress and play for a couple hours but now it is (nearly) 1am and I had been playing for TEN hours. I hate how I have no sense of time whatsoever whenever I play. I should stick with creating for awhile :x

I cannot describe to you how much of a poorly designed game Babylon’s Fall is.

I’ll try anyway.

First, there’s no reason to be live service. You have a tiny ass hub, and that’s your entire reason for always online. Yeah. That’s it. You can’t do anything meaningful with other players in it, but you can see them buy shit and start quests. Amazing (sarcastic). Every single mission is instanced. They literally could’ve just had it like Monster Hunter or Federation Force or any other sp/mp co-op game out there but nah, gotta be a LIVE game cause that’s the in thing (it’s not).

Second, this is literally the jankiest, worst combat I’ve ever experienced in any Platinumgames game that I’ve played. And yes, that does include that budget ass 15 dollar Korra game. That game was highly repetitive, super short, and was missing a back half (seriously you get so little game time with all your abilities) but at least the combat felt good. With BF I literally cannot come up with any combination of button configurations to make managing all this shit feel enjoyable at all. I’ve literally had to stop playing and replay parts of Bayonetta 1 just to remind myself that PG are capable of making good combat.

What makes it all worse is that the concept, characters and story almost work; they just can’t do anything that feels meaningful because this is a LIVE SERVICE GAME and those are supposed to GO ON FOREVER. Here’s the thing: if your core game isn’t fun to play, then why would anyone bother with the supposed infinite post game?

Thoughts on 3x19, pt 4

- How dare they. How dare they use Lena & Winn as science bros and have it happen off screen

- Sorry but seeing Lena in her sexy executive dresses at the DEO does dangerous, dangerous things to me

- Oh my sweet James. I’m crying. He’s crying. Lena is barely hanging on, and I swear to god I love these gentle, supportive, emotional people, together. This scene deserves its own post. It’s getting one.

- “For once I need to take a risk”-- says the girl who stole an alien manuscript from an insane cult. You’ve already taken a risk! You’re brave and resourceful and smart af. I know you’re surrounded by supers and heroes, but girl-- you’re one too.

- I bet M’yrnn would also kill at air hockey.

- I am dangerously close to liking Mon-el in the van? Ever since Ace Reporter, Mike the Intern has grown on me. It defies explanation.

- That’s some very vague measuring going on in that there ritual. Guess we’re just gonna wing it, huh? Focus on the aesthetic? But… why wait to signal the others, Mon-el? Why not lie about the ingredients? I understand, it has to happen, okay, okay--

- Kara’s speech to Olivia is everything I live for. Inspiring others, relating to their humanity, showing her vulnerability... This is Supergirl.

- Why is James apologizing

- James’ speech to Kara is the best of all of the ones she collected this episode. I’m not convinced he was entirely right, but it was the most personal, the most respectful, and the most understanding. I think it’s what Kara needed to feel better about her lie.

- STOP WITH THE OFFSCREEN SCIENCE BROS. GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT WE WANT!! 

- I... don’t know what to make of this Mon-el/J’onn scene. It’s-- it’s just words. Smushed together. Sounds... without meaning. What

- Aw damn. I’d really hoped there was a Coville-sized plot hole in this show. Of all the plots to suddenly revive, why his? He creeps me tf out.

Real talk

Okay so about the last point in the post I just reblogged.

"I want _______ back."

Whenever you're with the friends / boy- / girlfriend of one of the alters when you're fronting and they say this to you, it hurts. It's seriously one of the most frustrating things to hear. This happened to us multiple times now and I can't hold these frustrations back any longer. It also reminds me of what Dominic once told us.

"If people can't accept the fact that we're with more than one and that each and every single one of us matter, I'm out." ~ Dominic (back when he was 14)

A while back he did change his opinion about this though...

"I do understand that if we would have separate relationships with people they'd rather have that person fronting than the others. As long as they can hang out with everyone normally I'm fine with it, but once they start asking when they'll come back I'm out. I don't mind if they want us to relay something like a serious message, but once they only ask for them whenever someone else is fronting I can't help myself but to feel frustrated. I don't think those people deserve to be in a relationship with the person in question if they try to discard all the others like this." ~ Dominic (about 19 or so)

I too really do get it that if Edward or Olivia or anyone would have a relationship, with someone outside the system, they'd love to be with each other all the time. But stuff like "When will ____ finally come back?" / "Can't you bring ____ out?" / "Why do you have to be here when ____ could be here as well..." or any of that is just offensive towards the others. It has happened to us before and it really makes the others feel unwanted. Like we're a liability. Like we're ruining their life together. And it definitely doesn't have to be this way!

There are people who are very loving towards all of us, so not just to the person they have a relation with! The downside is that the person who was this way towards us got forbidden by her parents to have contact with us ever again. 'Simply' because we were "dangerous people"... only because the parents didn't understand nor want to understand our illness. Which was just unfair.

What matters the most out of this ranting post is that if you're friends / have a relationship with someone with DID / OSDD you have to accept the fact that they're not just one person, but multiple individual people with their own behaviour, their own pros/cons, likes, interests, style and so on. Don't just accept the host or just a few of the alters when they explain their illness to you. Accept them all. Most of the times it has already been difficult enough to actually 'confess' to someone that they have DID / OSDD. Don't make it any harder than it already is.

Don’t tell me video games aren’t a good coping mechanism. Don’t put down the ways I deal with things until you know what it’s like to lay in bed for hours until you can finally get your breath and sit up. Don’t tell me it’s childish because childish is the last thing on my mind when I’m standing in the mirror contemplating life and death . Don’t try to say it gets better when all I can see is the darkness closing in on me as I stand there paralyzed from the pain and sadness. I understand you’re helping and I thank you, but don’t say you understand when I say I feel I’m at rock bottom because you “were there once and it got better in time”
