Mr Wayne, I don’t feel so good
10 640x500 particle overlay .gifs. They're around 400 frames each, so more than long enough for gifs under 3mb. You can download them here or view the individual .gifs under the keep reading cut.
Something special happens when the moonshrooms are in the dark.
This may or may not make it in the full game - In order to get this to work I had to go through and replace all the mushroom foliage models with mushroom blueprints (which have the particle effect) when the game is launched.
There is not a particle of life which does not bear poetry within it.

It Lives
You’re all probably wondering where I’ve been, yeah?
Nah, just kidding. No one actually reads this blog lol
Firstly, life. Graduated college last year, got a job since then, gonna be going back to school, and in turn haven’t been playing games nearly as much. But none of that is important, and I’ve always got time for gaming.
To be quite honest, I’ve been playing a shit load of Overwatch. Now hear me out, I was definitely on the I hate Overwatch bandwagon when it first came out. I thought a lot of aspects were straight up copied from TF2, from game modes to character design. And I mean shit, when Blizzard straight up says “yeah we loved TF2,” it just kinda confirmed Blizzard was doing the thing where they find a a game they like a do it Blizzard style (looking at you, Hearthstone).
And when I said a shit load, I meant I’m putting that grind in lately. Hit Master so far, aiming for Grandmaster at the end of the season, too.
“But Gumby why invest time in comp Overwatch instead of Comp TF2?”
Welp, that’s because Blizzard invests time into Overwatch, and that’s a big thing that’s actually hurt me as of late.
Valve. Doesn’t.
I love TF2. Honestly, I still love the game more than Overwatch, as the community itself just offers so much more, but unfortunately Valve doesn’t seem to love TF2 like we do. Every update we’ve gotten for ages has done more harm than good, and it truly has felt like they never actually played their own game, let alone listened to what the community truly wanted. I swear half the time I launch the game lately I have to close it before matchmaking even throws me into a server.
But Blizzard obviously loves Overwatch, and it shows. Unfortunately, that’s why I haven’t been on TF2 in a good minute, and why this blog has remained untouched for months now.
I’m hoping to come back to it, I truly am, but without Valve actually giving TF2 some love, I’m worried I’ll only be playing the game in the future due to nostalgia.
