In an exclusive interview with us, Govinda talks about Salman, Shahid, Ranveer, Saif Ali Khan, Kill Dil, Shah Rukh Khan, Happy Ending, Partner 2 and lots of stuff.
Q. You seemed to have lost a lot of weight. So how did you manage to do so?
Govinda-Â Well, when I was doing Partner I was around 134 kgs and at that time when I was asked to give a running shot everything used to move. I was not at all comfortable being in that shape and hence I started running, decided to join gym and I lost a lot of weight but after a limit I stopped losing weight. So later on I started doing Yoga and now I am in front you.
Q. Salman Khan recently tweeted that he is trying to convince you to be a part of a film but you are not being convinced, So what is the status of that film?
Govinda-Â I didnât want to be a part of the film as it is a art film. As after Partner, it is not ideal for me and Salman to do an art film. Salman has a small sweet cameo in the film and Salman has always been very supportive with me. I have never tried to trouble Salman to give me films after Partner and I feel I should not use Salman Khanâs stardom to get work. Our friendship is beyond our work and we have been friends since a long time. We never thought of working together in a film and partner just happened. Salman and I never discuss film. Salman is one of the most simple and kind hearted person in the industry. He is very honest and I always try not to disappoint him. People canât be cunning and selfish at times and even I have that side but when I talk with Salman, I try to control that side of mine as he is simple and honest that even if I ask something unrealistic he will go out of his way to help for me.
Q. What is the status of Partner 2?
Govinda- Nope, it is not happening as of now.

Salman Khan and Govinda are considered to be one of the best buddies in Bollywood. Govinda and Khan were last seen in David Dhawanâs film âPartnerâ and since then their fans want them to come back together on the silver screen.
And Khanâs latest tweet hints that the duo might work in the sequel of their hit film âPartnerâ. The âJai Hoâ actor took to his twitter handle and posted a series of tweets and photos with Govinda.
âI am sending u a pic .Trying to convince govinda to do a film vit me, but partner not getting convinced. So I leave it to u to convince him,â he tweeted.
Later he tweeted saying that his partner (Govinda) got convinced. âThx samaj gaya partner.â He also posted a photo of him with actor Mahesh Manjrekar and his partner. There were reports of a fallout between Khan and Govinda and the âHero No.1âł is said to have been miffed with Khan for not promoting his daughter Narmada in the industry.
But his recent posts suggest that all is now well between the two actors. On Tuesday, Khan paid a visit to Govinda at his residence, where he clicked the photos with the latter and Manjrekar. Govinda has maintained that the actor is his close friend. Even a close associate of Khan said that the actors are good friends.

âI have no idea whether they met recently or not. But I believe the question of their patch up doesnât arise as there were no issues between them. Yes, itâs true that Salman had offered a role to Govinda but Chi Chi bhaiya didnât like it and politely said no. But that hasnât affected their friendship.
