Why a life coach? Do you even need one? + Is a coach like a shrink? All touchy feely? + So, no. A coach isn't a shrink, or a counselor. And depending on the coach, I suppose they could be touchy feely. Because let's face it, our lives are DRIVEN by our emotions and feelings. Like it or not, that's part of the human process. And unless you are a robot, you have at least some feelings and emotions. + But really a life coach is just like an athletic coach but, for, well, your life. + Someone in your corner, to watch out for the guys looking to tackle you and maybe even tell you if you are pulling your shoulder as you drive the ball. All sport's analogies, so let's put this in life coach terms. A life coach can help you hear what you are actually saying to yourself and others. + A life coach can help you strategize, and your life coach should believe in your vision and goals as much as you do and help you achieve them. (If you hire the right one that is.) + Of course I am a little biased, not just because I am a mindset coach, but because I too, have hired life coaches. Why? Well. Let me ask you a few questions. + Why do you use your rear view mirror and side mirrors when you are driving? + You don't HAVE to use the mirrors, you could crane your head out each window, and look out the back window each time you need to make a move in traffic. The amazing thing is, using those mirrors adds a huge amount of convenience and perspective! Same thing with a life coach.
