Being awake before everything around you starts moving for the day is weird.

My doctors appointment isn't until 9:30, and because I start back at my summer job today I've been up since 5:30-6ish. I'm not going in until after my appointment though, it's a long enough drive that I'd get to work and then instantly have to leave again.

So I'm just going to go to the craft store on the way there since they open at 9 😃 I have a spot on my patchwork skirt I need to mend. Every time I fix it, the patch is always loosely related to the fandom I am in at the time. And I have a bunch of left over denim from the sleeves of my jacket turned vest sooooo...

Time to consult the guide for color matches! (yes I am still working on that! I'm hoping to have it finished by the end of the month but we'll see. Definitely before October) I'm probably going to do a mix of different designs, but I know what the boarder will be.

I love that everything in this outfit has a story! ♡

The thrifting gods blessed me for my birthday and I found five great tops at my local second hand shop. Plussize clothing is very rare here but I still manage to find elusive gems. This sage green top is one of my finds.

The necklace comes from a local animal charity, they auction of handmade jewelry and other handmade accessories to support animal help.

The green bag with the cathedral window patchwork comes from a patchwork swap event. It's one of my favourite bags ever since I received it years ago! The fabric strap was slowly being rubbed away, so by now I have covered almost everything in crochet. (More crochet strap is at the back at the moment and not visible in this picture. As the fabric is further fraying from use I will have to make another crochet repair soon and will probably now just cover the whole strap).

@bright-eyes-hope gave me the skirt. She didn't really wear it anyway. It used to have a wide pink waistband (like about 25cm wide) and I removed it to attach it to another skirt of hers (where she didn't like the waistband). I loved the skirt and could keep it as a thank you for the transplantation! I've added a new waistband and a new voluminous underskirt (because the fabric is otherwise see-through and the previous underskirt was a tight tube).

I had a bunch of fabric remnants and said yOU KNOW WHAT, I’M BORED IN QUARENTINE. LET’S MAKE A SKIRT.

And so I did.

Took about 3 days and used mixes of cotton, t shirt fabric, some kind of sheer stuff, and I don’t even know what. I used another skirt of mine to help plan it out but this is the first (wearable) fabric creation I made without using a pattern.
