Christmas is coming up, and i am once again reminded of "The Sanders Sides 12 Days Of Christmas!" Episode, specifically the end card, when they did the secret Santa.
Ya'll know where this is going..
Everyone was given very meaningful and heartfelt gifts in the end card, and it could be argued that Roman worked the hardest on his gift. What did he get in return? Pasta. Fucking Pasta. What the fuck. All the others got gifts personalized to their tastes, and their likes and needs, for example, Virgil was gifted a gift card for audio books to listen to if he needed to calm down. That's thoughtful, and sweet. Logan was given an entire screenplay depicting his adventures with Sherlock, a character he has expressed his love for, more than once. That's also very sweet, and obviously written with Logan in mind. And Patton, while he wasn't gifted much physically, was given a handmade card, that 1. Was written in the form of a dad joke, and 2. explicitly states that Virgil cares enough about Patton to call him his Best Friend (and this just doubles the sentiment packed into this gift, because then, and now, Virgil has a hard time stating that he actually cares for the other sides), and Roman got SPAGHETTI. What sentiment does spaghetti have for Roman? As far as I remember Roman has never stated that he likes pasta, not once, and even if he had, that's one lazy ass way to decide what to give someone, for Christmas of all holidays. Like-
"Yknow, pasta is really good"
"Oh really? Well from now on you're getting pasta for all your birthdays, holidays, and any other day that requires gift giving. That way I don't actually have to think about what you might find genuinely touching!"
Like, he could've at least gotten him like, art supplies or something, that's super fucking lazy too, but at least that's something mildly personal for Roman. He's creativity, get creativity something to help him be creative! Not fucking PASTA!
Like, you would think, that Patton of all people would be the best at gift giving, considering he's the heart, and he's constantly preaching about how much he loves and cares for his friends. But, obviously when it came to this, he either 1. Forgot until last minute, and panicked bad, or 2. Doesn't give a shit, whatsoever.
What makes this worse though, is that later he gives Virgil a really heartfelt and sweet card, knowing that it was just what Virgil needed. He gave Virgil something that really meant something to him, BUT ROMAN GOT PASTA.
Hhhhhhhhhh this still makes me so fucking mad. I apologize for the rant, but HOLY SHIT
