mommy azzi n daddy Paige, thanks to anon for the fire req
Rumors had been circulating on social media for week. Fans dissected every photo, every video clip of you and Paige together, her arm slung over your shoulder during a game, her hand lingering too long around your waist as you laughed at some joke.
“Paige is cheating on Azzi with her best friend” the comments screamed.
“Look at how touchy they are”
“Azzi deserves better”
You scrolled through the threads late at night, with a mix of amusement and frustration building in your chest.
If only they knew the truth, that you, Paige, and Azzi were a truly all together, tangled up in each other in ways the media could never imagine.
Paige and Azzi, the golden couple of women's basketball, were too scared to come clean. The pressure of their fame, the endorsements, the scrutiny, it all kept your relationship locked away like a dirty little secret.
Tonight, you were done pretending. The three of you piled into the back of a sleek black SUV with a distracted uber driver, heading to an exclusive club downtown. Paige sat on one side of you, her athletic frame pressed close, fingers tracing lazy circles on your thigh under the hem of your short black dress. Azzi was on the other side, her dark eyes admiring you as she rested her head on your shoulder.
Paige chuckled, her hand sliding higher, brushing against the edge of your panties. “Im gonna take such good care of this pussy later. Right baby?
You swatted Paige's hand away, the feeling of their touch only fueled your anger.
“Yeah, well, maybe if you two weren't such pussies, we wouldn't have to hide this. Fans think you're cheating on Azzi with me, Paige. It's fucking pathetic” You blurted out
The car fell silent for a moment, the city lights flashing by. Azzi's grip tightened on your arm. “Not now baby, let’s have fun tonight” Azzi said, disregarding you.
“Fun?” You pulled away, crossing your arms. “I'm tired of this shit, of all the secrets. Do what I asked or I'm done playing along.”
Paige's jaw clenched, her blue eyes flashing with irritation. “You know we can't. Drop it”
By the time you arrived at the club, the tension was unbearable. The bouncer waved you through without a second glance, Paige and Azzi's status opened doors like magic. Inside, the bass thumped through your body, bodies grinding on the dance floor under strobe lights. You grabbed a drink from the bar, downing it in one go, the burn matching the fire in your heart.
Paige and Azzi stuck close at first, their hands possessive on your hips as you moved to the music. You could feel their eyes darting around, scanning for paparazzi, always performing the “best friend” act. It pissed you off. Spotting a tall pretty stranger, you made your move. You walked over, hips swaying, and your back against her front. Her hands immediately found your waist, pulling you closer as you rolled your ass against her crotch, grinding to the beat.
The stranger's breath was hot on your neck. “Damn baby”
Out of the corner of your eye, you saw Paige and Azzi at the bar, their expressions angry. Azzi was the first to react, pushing across the floor with Paige hot behind her.
“What the fuck do you think you're doing?' Azzi hissed, grabbing your arm, pulling you away.
The woman raised her hands, backing off with a laugh.
Paige wrapped a firm hand around your other wrist, dragging you toward the exit. “We're leaving. Now.”
You stumbled after them, the alcohol buzzing in your veins. “Jealous already? Maybe if you two manned up-”
“Stop talking” Paige growled, shoving open the side door into the cool night air. The SUV waited, they pushed you inside, slamming the door shut.
The ride home was tense, silent anger radiating from both of them. You sat between them, arms crossed, but your heart raced with a twisted thrill. Once you arrived, they hauled you inside without a word, straight to the bedroom. The door clicked locked behind you.
Azzi shoved you onto the king-sized bed, muscles flexing as she loomed over you. “The fuck do you think this is? Dancing on some random bitch to make a point?” Azzi scoffed.
Paige stripped off her jacket, tossing it aside, her tank top clinging to her toned abs. “It’s okay, we’re gonna teach you a lesson. Strip. Now.”
You hesitated at first. Slowly, you peeled off your dress, letting it sit at your feet, standing in just your lacy black bra and thong. Azzi's eyes raked over you, plotting on what to do next.
“All the way, slut” Azzi commanded, her voice dripping with authority.
Trembling with anticipation, you unhooked your bra, letting your tits spill free, nipples already hard. Then the thong, sliding it down your thighs to reveal your wet pussy.
Paige circled you like a shark, her hand cracking against your ass. “Look at you, dripping already. Mad because we won't let you parade your greedy holes to the world?”
Azzi laughed, pushing you back onto the bed and climbing over you. She pinned your wrists above your head with one hand, her free one sliding between your legs to cup your pussy.
“Princess, you're everything to us, but you need to learn your place.” Her fingers parted your pussy lips, plunging inside without warning, curling against your g-spot.
You arched, moaning. “fuck, azzi”.
“That's it baby, feel me” Azzi taunted, pumping her fingers harder and faster, her thumb grinding your clit. “You think that bitch could've made this wet cunt cum like I do?” Azzi groaned in your ear.
Paige knelt on the bed, unzipping her jeans and shoving them down along with her boxers. Her thick strap came into view, eight inches of silicone. “Open wide, bitch. Suck Daddy's cock while Mommy fucks your sloppy hole.”
You obeyed, mouth watering as Paige fed the tip past your lips. You swirled your tongue around it, hollowing your cheeks and bobbing your head, taking it deeper until she hit the back of your throat. Paige groaned like she could feel it. “Good girl, choke on it. Show us how sorry you are”
Azzi added a third finger, stretching you wide, her pace relentless. “Hear that, Paige? Our little slut is clenching already. She's gonna cum without permission if we don't watch her.”
You whimpered around the strap, hips bucking, but Azzi pulled her fingers out abruptly, leaving you empty and aching.
“Not yet, bad girls don't get to cum from dancing on random bitch.” She flipped you onto your back.
Paige's hands gripped your hips, the tip of the strap pressing against your pussy first, teasing your entrance. “Beg for it. Tell us you'll behave.”
“Please, Paige” you gasped, pushing back. “I'll stop, just fuck me.”
With a grunt, Paige slammed inside of you burying the strap in one thrust. You cried out, the feeling overwhelming as she started pounding, her hips snapping against your ass. Each thrust jolted you forward, your breasts bouncing, clit throbbing. Azzi positioned herself in front of you, straddling your face.
“Eat mommys pussy, baby. Make me cum while daddy rails you.” She lowered herself onto your mouth, her shaved lips parting as your tongue dove in, lapping at her clit hungrily.
Azzi moaned, grinding down. “Just like that, suck my clit, you eager little bitch.” Her juices coated your chin as you licked and sucked, tongue fucking her hole while Paige's thrusts grew harder, the strap hitting deep.
“Fuck, she's so tight” Paige panted, “This cunt was made for us. No one else.”
You were lost in sensation, tongue buried in Azzi's pussy, Paige's cock stretching you relentlessly. Azzi came first, thighs clamping around your head as she flooded your mouth with her release. You didn’t let a drop go to waste, drinking everything she gave you.
Paige didn't let up. She drove in deeper, hitting your cervix with every thrust. “Cum for me baby, soak my cock.”
The orgasm crashed over you like a wave, your pussy spasming around the strap, squirting messily onto Paige's abs. You screamed their names, body shaking.
Azzi leaned down, kissing you messily, tasting herself on your lips. “That's our girl, still wanna come out to the public?”
Paige pulled out, replacing the strap with her fingers, rubbing your oversensitive clit until you came again, tears streaming down your face from the intensity. They held you after, bodies entwined, whispers of love mixing in. The secret could wait one more night.

The rain drummed a steady, heavy rhythm against the window of the dorm room. Azzi sat at her desk, surrounded by open textbooks and crumpled pieces of paper. It was Friday night, and while most people were out, she was stuck trying to finish her math homework. The air in the room felt thick and sleepy from the storm outside.
Suddenly, her phone buzzed on the wood desk. The screen lit up, showing a notification, but Azzi didn't even look at it. She just wanted to finish this last page. A few seconds later, a text popped up
Kaylabug💜“Come downstairs and open the door. Meet me.”
Azzi sighed, dropping her pencil. "What does she want now?" she muttered to herself.
She stood up, stretched her sore back, and grabbed her black umbrella from the corner. The walk down to the lobby was quiet, the hallway smelling like floor wax and old carpet. When she reached the heavy glass front doors, she pushed them open. The cold air hit her face, and the sound of the rain got much louder, splashing against the concrete.
Right there at the curb, a car was idling with its lights blurred by the downpour. Azzi pulled her hood up, popped her umbrella, and jogged over to the back door.
As soon as she pulled the door open, a thick, sweet cloud of smoke rolled out into the rainy air. The smell of weed was so strong it hit her instantly. She looked at the driver’s seat. Paige was sitting there, her back slumped against the leather. Her eyes were red and heavy, barely staying open as she stared at the dashboard. She was man spreading
in the driver’s seat, her knees knocked wide apart and her hands resting loosely on the bottom of the steering wheel. She looked completely spaced out.
"Finally, you made it," Kayla said from the back. She sounded impatient, leaning back into her seat and checking her nails.
Azzi didn't say a word. She closed her umbrella, shaking the water onto the floor mat, and climbed into the passenger seat. She shut the door, cutting off the sound of the rain, leaving them in the quiet, hazy warmth of the car. Kayla leaned forward, her hand heavy and damp from the rain as she gripped Azzi’s shoulder.
So, girly," Kayla started, her voice dropping to a persuasive whisper. "I really need a huge favor. I need your keys so I can run up and use your bathroom. I’ve been holding it forever and Paige is being a hater she won't even let me out to find a gas station."
Azzi felt the heat of Kayla's hand through her hoodie. She looked over at Paige, who was still slumped in the driver’s seat. Paige didn't even turn her head; she just stared blankly at the windshield wipers flicking back and forth, her jaw relaxed and her legs still spread wide, taking up the entire footwell. She looked like she was in another dimension.
Azzi scoffed, the sound sharp in the cramped, smoky space. She looked back at Kayla in the rearview mirror. "You’ve got to be kidding me," Azzi said,
shifting her weight away from the hand on her shoulder. "You made me walk all the way down here, in the middle of my homework and a literal thunderstorm, just because you have to pee? And you want my keys to go up there by yourself?"
She looked at the dashboard clock, then at the heavy rain blurring the world outside the window. The idea of letting Kayla loose in her room while she was stuck sitting in a car with a high off her mind Paige felt like a bad setup.
"Why can't Paige just drive you to the corner store?" Azzi asked, even though she already knew the answer just by looking at Paige’s glazed expression.
"She’s not moving, Azzi," Kayla groaned, giving Azzi’s shoulder a little shake. "Look at her. She’s locked in. Just give me the keys, it’ll take two minutes, I swear."
"You’re lucky," Azzi muttered. She reached into her pocket, pulled out her keys, and pressed them into Kayla’s hand.
Kayla grinned. "Thanks, Az." She hopped out of the car, slamming the door behind her, and disappeared into the lobby, leaving Azzi alone in the quiet, smoky car with Paige. The silence in the car felt heavy, thick with the scent of weed and the sound of rain drumming against the roof. Azzi stared out the side window, watching the drops race down the glass in blurry streaks. The lobby lights looked far away through the storm, and she wondered how long Kayla would actually take.
Slowly, the leather seat creaked. Paige shifted her weight, finally turning her head toward the passenger side. When Azzi finally looked over, Paige was watching her with those heavy, red-rimmed eyes. She reached up, dragging a thumb across her bottom lip before slowly licking them, her gaze never leaving Azzi’s face.
"You always this quiet?" Paige asked.
Her voice was different than usual. It was deep and dropped into a low, gravelly rasp that seemed to vibrate in the small space of the car. She was still sitting with her legs spread wide, one arm draped over the steering wheel and the other resting on the center console, inches away from Azzi’s hand.
Azzi felt a chill that had nothing to do with the rain outside. Paige looked completely wrecked, but the way she was staring made the air in the car feel even tighter than before.
Azzi narrowed her eyes, trying to read whatever was going on behind that glazed, heavy-lidded stare.
"What you talking bout?" Azzi asked, her voice steady but cautious.
Paige didn’t blink. She just let out a slow, lazy breath that smelled like blunt wraps, a small smirk tugging at the corner of her mouth. She shifted slightly, her knee brushing against the center console as she leaned a bit closer into Azzi’s space. That deep, raspy voice came out even lower this time, almost like a growl.
"I’m just saying," Paige muttered, her words dragging just a little. "I’ve been sitting here watching you. You just stare out that window like you're a million miles away. You don't got nothing to say to me now that your bestie gone?"
She tilted her head to the side, her braids falling over her shoulder. The way she was looking at Azzi wasn't like her normal, goofy self. There was something intense and heavy about it, fueled by whatever she had been smoking. She reached out with her right hand, trailing her fingers along the edge of the gear shift, moving closer to where Azzi’s leg was.
"I know you ain't that shy," Paige added, her eyes dropping down for a second before snapping back up to lock onto Azzi’s. "Or maybe you just don't like being alone with me. Which one is it?"She leaned back against the passenger door, putting a little distance between her and that heavy, smoky energy Paige was putting out. She looked Paige up and down from the messy braids to the way she was slumped so low in the seat and let out a short, dry laugh.
"Shy? Please," Azzi said, her voice cutting through the quiet. "I'm not shy, Paige. I’m just wondering why you’re looking at me like I’m a snack when you can barely keep your head up straight."
She crossed her arms over her chest, staring right back into those red, heavy eyes. "And I got plenty to say. For starters, you're lucky you didn't hit a pole driving over here in that state. You look like you're seeing three of me right now."
Paige's smirk didn't fade; if anything, it grew wider, her tongue sliding over her teeth as she took in Azzi’s attitude.
"I see you just fine," Paige rasped, her voice sounding like velvet and sandpaper. She moved her hand from the gear shift, letting her fingers graze the fabric of Azzi’s sweatpants near her knee. "And I like the view. You're real cute when you’re acting all tough and concerned."
Azzi felt a heat crawl up her neck, but she didn't move her leg. She just raised an eyebrow, trying to keep her cool. "Keep your hands on the wheel, Paige. You’re high as a kite and Kayla’s gonna be back any second. Don't start something you're too faded to finish."Paige smacked her lips again, a slow, lazy sound. Without a word, she reached out with both hands, her grip surprisingly firm as she hooked them around Azzi’s waist. Before Azzi could even protest, Paige pulled her across the center console and right onto her lap.
The steering wheel pressed against Azzi’s back, and the space felt impossibly small. Paige’s legs were still spread wide, making room for Azzi to sit. The smell of weed and expensive cologne was everywhere now, overwhelming and warm.
Azzi didn't fight it, but she felt her heart racing. She leaned forward, hiding her face by tucking her head into the crook of Paige’s neck. The skin there was warm, and she could feel the vibration of Paige’s slow, steady breathing.
"Stop, Paige," Azzi mumbled, her voice muffled against Paige’s skin. She didn't move to get up, though. Her hands rested weakly on Paige’s shoulders.
Paige didn't let go. Instead, she tightened her hold on Azzi’s waist, leaning her head back against the headrest. She let out a low, raspy chuckle that Azzi felt more than she heard.
"You saying stop, but you ain't moving," Paige whispered, her voice vibrating right against Azzi's ear. She turned her head slightly, her lips grazing Azzi’s hair. "Make up your mind, Az."
Azzi didn't answer Paige’s teasing; she couldn't find the words even if she wanted to. Instead, she let her head heavy against Paige’s shoulder and began to press soft, lingering kisses into the warm skin of her neck. She moved slowly, her lips grazing the spot just below Paige’s ear where the scent of her perfume was the strongest. It was a familiar, aching feeling the kind of habit they both fell into whenever the world got quiet and they were finally alone.
Paige let out a sharp, jagged breath. The lazy, slumped posture she had earlier vanished as she reacted to the touch. Her hand, which had been resting loosely at Azzi’s waist, slid down with a sudden, possessive energy. She gripped Azzi’s rear firmly, her fingers digging into the fabric of her sweats, pulling her body even tighter against her own.
The sudden pressure and the heat of Paige’s palm made Azzi’s breath hitch. A low, soft moan escaped her, vibrating directly against the pulse point in Paige's neck.
The sound was muffled by the thick air in the car, but it was enough to make Paige groan back, a deep sound that rumbled from her chest.
Paige’s grip tightened, her knuckles grazing the leather of the seat as she held Azzi in place. "You're gonna make me forget Kayla's coming back," Paige rasped, her eyes fluttering shut as she leaned into the kisses, her head falling back against the headrest. She looked completely gone now,
She moved from the soft, lingering kisses to something more intense. She caught a small patch of skin right above Paige’s collarbone and bit down hard. It wasn't enough to break the skin, but it was firm enough to leave a mark that would definitely be there tomorrow.
Paige’s reaction was instant. Her head snapped back against the headrest with a dull thud, and a sharp, breathy "fuck" escaped her lips. The sound was thick and strained, caught somewhere between a growl and a gasp. Instead of pulling away, Paige tilted her chin up and moved her head to the side, exposing the full length of her neck and giving Azzi even more room to work.
The low eye, heavy lidded look Paige had been wearing since Azzi got in the car sharpened into something much more focused. Her hands didn't just stay at Azzi's waist anymore; she pulled Azzi closer, her fingers hooking into the waistband of Azzi’s sweatpants, dragging her flush against her. The friction of their clothes and the intense heat building between them made the windows fog up even faster, turning the rainy world outside into nothing but a grey, blurry smear.
"You're wild for that," Paige rasped, her voice sounding completely wrecked. She reached up with one hand, her fingers tangling into the hair at the back of Azzi’s head, pulling just enough to keep her pressed firmly against her skin. "Do it again."
Azzi could feel Paige’s heart hammering against her own chest, a fast, rhythmic thumping that matched the frantic pace of the raindrops on the roof. She took a deep breath, inhaling the scent of Paige’s skin and the fading smell of the blunt, before leaning back in to find another spot. Every time Azzi’s teeth grazed her, Paige let out another shaky breath, her body vibrating with every muffled sound Azzi made against her. They were completely locked in
She slid her hand upward, the cool air of the car hitting Azzi’s skin as the fabric of her shirt was pushed up. With practiced, shaky fingers, Paige reached behind Azzi’s back and unhooked the clasp of her bra.
The sudden release made Azzi’s breath hitch. Her chest felt heavy and sensitive in the dim light of the dashboard. Paige didn't waste a second; she reached out and cupped one of Azzi's breasts in her large, warm palm, her thumb grazing the peak. The contrast between Paige's rough, calloused hand and Azzi's soft skin sent a jolt through the car's silent cabin.
Paige leaned forward, her heavy lidded eyes dark and focused. She let her head drop, her mouth replacing her hand on the other side. As soon as she took Azzi into her mouth, a loud, broken moan tore from Azzi’s throat, echoing against the glass. Azzi arched her back, her fingers digging desperately into Paige’s shoulders, clutching the fabric of her hoodie as she was pulled deeper into the seat.
Paige groaned low in her throat, a sound of pure satisfaction. She used her free hand to squeeze and knead, her grip firm and possessive, while she continued to swirl her tongue with a lazy, rhythmic pressure. The steering wheel was pressed into Azzi’s side and the gear shift was digging into her leg, but she didn't care. The world was just the smell of Paige’s skin, the sound of the rain, and the intense, dizzying heat of Paige’s mouth.
Azzi’s head fell back, her eyes fluttering shut as she gave in to the feeling, her body trembling on Paige’s lap. Every time Paige sucked harder or squeezed, Azzi let out another soft, shaky sound, her heart hammering so hard she could feel it in her fingertips.
zzi was trembling, her hands shaking as she gripped Paige’s hair. Every breath she took felt like she was inhaling Paige’s scent.
"Please, Paige..." Azzi whispered, her voice cracking as another moan escaped her.
Paige didn't stop. Her movements were heavy and determined. She reached down, pulling Azzi’s shirt over her head and tossing it into the back seat. Then, her hands moved to the waistband of Azzi’s shorts, sliding them down and off her legs until Azzi was completely exposed in the dim, smoky light.
Paige leaned back just an inch, her red eyes wandering over Azzi’s body with a slow, hungry look. She looked like she was in a trance, her chest rising and falling heavily.
"You want it?" Paige rasped, her voice deeper than before, sounding like a growl. She gripped Azzi's hips, her thumbs digging into her skin. "Tell me how bad you want it, Az. Say it."
She waited, her mouth hovering just inches from Azzi’s, her hot breath ghosting over her lips. She wasn't moving until she heard the words.
Azzi’s head fell back against the steering wheel, her eyes squeezed shut. She felt the cold air from the car’s vents on her skin, but where Paige was touching her, she was burning up.
"I want it so bad," Azzi whimpered, her fingers tightening on Paige's shoulders. "Please, Paige... right now."
Paige let out a dark, satisfied hum and
Azzi reached down, her fingers trembling but determined, and caught Paige’s wrist. She guided Paige’s hand downward, past the heat of her stomach, until she pressed Paige’s palm firmly against the damp heat between her legs.
"I want it bad," Azzi whispered directly into Paige’s ear, her lips brushing against the lobe as she shivered.
Paige let out a ragged, guttural sound, her head falling back against the seat again. The contact was electric. Her hand was large and warm, and as soon as she felt how ready Azzi was for her, her fingers didn't stay still. She began to move with a slow, heavy rhythm that matched the dazed, high energy she’d been carrying all night. Her thumb found the center of everything, applying a lazy but firm pressure that made Azzi’s knees go weak.
"Yeah?" Paige rasped, her voice a low vibration that Azzi could feel in her own chest. "You're so slick for me, Az."
Paige hooked a finger under the edge of Azzi's lace, tugging it aside so there was nothing left between her skin and Azzi's. She began to work, her touch deep and rhythmic, making Azzi’s hips roll instinctively against her hand. Every time Paige's palm pressed flat against her, Azzi let out a sharp, broken gasp, her forehead dropping onto Paige’s shoulder as she tried to muffle her sounds.
Paige’s other hand stayed locked on Azzi’s waist, her thumb digging into her hip bone to keep her from moving too far away.
"Look at me," Paige commanded, her voice thick and commanding.
Azzi lifted her head, her hair messy and her eyes hazy with a mix of want and exhaustion. Paige was staring at her with a look of pure, clouded hunger, her pupils blown wide. She moved her hand faster, her fingers curling and sliding with an expert touch that had Azzi arching her back, her breath coming in short, frantic hitches as she neled closer to the edge.
Paige’s hand moved with a sudden, sharp intent, her fingers curling upward and finding that one sensitive internal ridge with a heavy, rhythmic pressure. The friction was intense, perfectly timed with the slow, deep grind of her palm against Azzi's exterior.
Azzi’s entire body went rigid. Her fingers, which had been tangled in Paige’s hair, tightened so hard her knuckles turned white. Her back arched in a sharp, elegant curve, her chest pressing hard against Paige's as the sensation built into something unbearable.
“I-I’m—” Azzi started, her voice a frantic, high pitched thread of sound, but the words died in her throat.
The climax hit her like a physical weight. Her internal muscles clamped down hard on Paige’s fingers as a sudden, hot rush of fluid erupted from her, soaking into Paige’s hand and splashing across the leather of the driver's seat. Azzi’s legs began to shake uncontrollably, her thighs quivering against Paige’s hips as wave after wave of pleasure crashed through her.
She let out a long, broken cry that was muffled by the crook of Paige’s neck, her breath coming in ragged, sobbing hitches. The world was spinning, reduced to nothing but the pulsing heat between her legs and the feeling of Paige holding her steady through the storm of it.
Paige didn’t pull away. She leaned into the mess, her thumb continuing to circle with a slow, grounding pressure even as Azzi continued to twitch and shudder in her lap. Paige let out a low, dark chuckle that vibrated deep in her chest, her heavy-lidded eyes watching Azzi’s face with a look of dazed, smug satisfaction.
"Yeah, I got you," Paige rasped, her voice sounding like gravel and silk. She pulled Azzi’s limp body closer, burying her face in Azzi’s damp hair. "I definitely got you."
Azzi was completely spent, her head lolling onto Paige’s shoulder as the adrenaline began to fade, leaving her heavy and floating in the quiet, hazy warmth of the car. The only sound left was the rain and the frantic thud of two hearts trying to find their rhythm again.
She reached into the backseat, grabbing Azzi’s shirt and shorts. Azzi was completely out, her head lolling against the headrest, her breathing deep and rhythmic after the intensity of what just happened. Paige carefully slid the shirt over Azzi’s limp arms and pulled her shorts back up, smoothing the fabric over her damp skin. She adjusted the passenger seat, reclining it so Azzi could rest comfortably, and threw a light jacket over her to hide any lingering mess.
Just as Paige was leaning back into her own seat, trying to catch her breath, the lobby door swung open. Kayla jogged through the rain, shielding her head with her hands, and yanked the back door open. She hopped in, bringing a burst of cold, wet air with her.
"Man, that was close! I thought a RA was gonna see me in the hall," Kayla panted, shaking her hair out. She buckled her seatbelt and looked up, her expression quickly shifting from relief to total confusion. "Wait... what happened to Azzi? Is she dead?"
She leaned forward, peering over the center console at the unconscious girl. Azzi was dead to the world, her mouth slightly open and a faint flush still on her cheeks.
Then Kayla’s eyes traveled to Paige, and her eyebrows shot up. Paige was sitting there, trying to look cool, but she was a mess. Her breathing was still heavy, and in the dim light of the dashboard, Kayla could see the glisten on Paige’s hand it was soaked,
the moisture reflecting the green glow of the radio. Even worse, Paige hadn't realized she had a smear of wetness across her own mouth, and the front of her dark sweatpants had a visible, damp patch where Azzi had been sitting.
"Yo, Paige..." Kayla said, her voice dropping as she put the pieces together. She looked from Paige’s wet hand to the sleeping Azzi, then back to the damp spot on the driver's seat. "Why is your hand all wet? And your mouth? Did y'all... in the ten minutes I was gone?"
Paige didn't even try to come up with a lie. She just wiped her mouth with the back of her wet hand, which only made it worse, and let out a long, raspy chuckle. She looked back at Kayla through those bloodshot, heavy eyes, a smug, lopsided grin spreading across her face.
"She was stressed about her homework," Paige rasped, her voice sounding deeper and more wrecked than ever. "I just helped her relax. Now shut up and let her sleep."
Kayla sat back, eyes wide, looking between her two friends in disbelief. "In the car? On a Friday night? Y'all are actually insane."

The night was busy. It’d been so much chatter that Azzi Fudd truly felt like her head could roll off her shoulders from exhaustion. As much as she loved being who she was and what she did for her basketball career; it got overwhelming sometimes, just from the several conversations at one time or even to many faces to remember, it was a lot for her. Azzi was fully aware that this time was upcoming, it was her final year at UConn, new eyes were spotting her and she personally was in a new light. Azzi was grateful though no doubt as she nonetheless smiled her bright smile, shook hands and even made conversation with people she ran into.
The hot pink couture fitted dress smoothed out on her light skin, it fitted tight around her waist with the straps on each side of her shoulders. Azzi had her curly hang-time bouncing with every step she took, her braids fresh thanks to Kayla and a bare face that enhanced her beauty. Azzi Fudd looked gorgeous, the people she encountered tonight didn’t miss to let her know that.
The UConn Huskies were getting their rings from the national championship game which meant a certain husky who recently got drafted to Dallas would make an appearance. Azzi and Paige had a difficult breakup, it was something other people had already sensed before they did which made it harder to let go. The two wanted to keep their relationship stable to prove they could do it—to prove that they could still love one another, no matter the distance.
The couple lasted two months tops.
A career was in the making though and as much as Azzi wanted to let it sulk her days, she couldn’t. She made sure to hatchet those feelings before they could go anywhere else, she gave herself her own reality check before anyone else could. Azzi hit the gym and had her own brand deals that always kept her beautiful face on Paige’s timeline and no matter their past, she watched every single one, Paige didn’t mind to watch her. They ended it on a mutual note, to her understanding, they weren’t enemies but it wasn’t like they were the best of friends either. As much as Paige died to approach the girl across the room, she couldn’t, she wouldn’t.
Paige had her own sense of style. The girl went simple tonight with her hair laid in the slick back bun that she perfected every time and the three piece suit, including the white button up with a black vest accompanying it so. Paige cartilage piercing shined with every head movement, Azzi would be an utter fool to miss it. Paige blue hues continued to divert to her; catching her across the room smiling like typical, clasping hands with someone or the way her head tilts in deep fascination. Azzi was driving her up the wall but Paige knew to keep her cool, at least until they were alone and uncalled for.
In the moment, they had to be Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd the national championship winners.
“Why don’t you just talk to her?” Paige head flicked left with a slight frown to Aubrey who had a plate of some type of dip. “I don’t know what you talkin’ about.” Paige replied coolly with her hands sliding into her pockets.
“I bet she feels you staring, you never could play it off.”
“Bro, can you please?” Paige questioned as she brought a single hand to her face so she could at least hide her red tone.
“What y’all talkin’ bout?” Paige heard KK voice next to her making her drop her hand to reply but Aubrey cut her off. “Paige won’t stop staring at Azzi.”
“Oh my God.” She said now bringing both her hands to her face from the teasing she was about to endure tonight. Paige didn’t want to bring too much attention to the fact but anytime she was around her, she made it her mission to spot her out in every room. That alone wasn’t enough because they hadn’t been in the same room since the draft—Paige hated it but she hadn’t really seen her since she left for Dallas, when they came to visit her at her games, she never came. Paige didn’t hold it against her seeing as they had a past but this was the dream they spoke about since kids, she wished she would’ve saw at least one.
Paige could only find her face once more in the crowd even as she stood in the middle between her friend’s conversation, she easily zoned out on the pink figure moving across the room. Paige watched her disappear into the team only women’s bathroom in turn making her snatch her eyes away before the door could close fully.
Azzi Fudd stepped inside of the stall and shut the door behind her as soon as it clicked shut, she turned the latch to lock it. She only needed a few minutes, she bought herself five with the bathroom but would’ve probably made it ten from how bad her anxiety was bothering her. It made her case no better with knowing that blonde had her eyes on her, Azzi never caught her gazing but she couldn’t miss it. It was always like that even when she first met her on Team USA, she didn’t have to be looking at Paige to know she was looking at her. It calmed her but also wrecked her brain to the point where she couldn’t think nor conversate without that feeling in her spine.
Azzi heels clacked the flooring as she walked to the mirror to look over herself. The look contained not many accessories, the rings would do its dues for that so she wore none besides her ear piercings.
She stood up straight after fumbling with the straps of her dress just to turn her body to see if at a different angle in the mirror, she smiled at the sight of how plumped her ass looked in her dress. Azzi spun forward again and fluffed her hair to her liking then leaning forward to run a single finger across the bottom of her lip, careful to not smudge the combo she did on herself. The knock on the door was what made her straighten up quicker and she gave herself one last look over and went to the door just to unlock it and pull it open.
Paige knocked her breath away instantly.
“M’ sorry.” Azzi apologized first just so she could move past her and Paige had a fully clothed arm but Azzi felt the brush of her sleeve against her bare skin as she pushed passed her. The familiar Valentino smell didn’t miss her nose and she pushed her feet to move faster nonetheless, it was already giving her a tingling feeling, one that she didn’t have any time for.
Azzi knew the breakup was the best thing for them both, that was a no brainer but she had a right to feel hurt, a right to feel different. It was to hard to be in the same space as the blonde and she wasn’t going down that road of hurt; it wasn’t the time for it no way, all she could focus on was the future all the while staying planted and focused on what’s in front of her. It couldn’t be Paige Bueckers—ever again.

A night to remember. The Huskies got their rings and celebrated the only way they knew how; getting drunk like typical and deal with everything else later, Azzi preferred to be a one and done type of gal but it was ring night. It was no way she was missing this opportunity with her family, these girls were her life, she practically grew up with them as they did with her. The night was dim and remembering for some but Azzi was the one and done type for a reason, she was the light weight of the whole team and had the reputation of that. Azzi stole a pair of glasses from Aubrey that shaded her eyes, still in the pink dress that was named a sin now.
Azzi had her head tilted against Ice’s shoulder with her free arm wrapped around Caroline’s neck as the music shook the floor. It was drumming with bodies as they bypassed them in traffic or even congratulated them on their night yet all Azzi could do was muster up a nod and smiled at certain compliments. Ice and Caroline both stood talking with people and made conversation but still made sure Azzi was right side up, keeping close.
Each woman ring shined through the night—cameras flashing, videos for memories, it was their time. Paige lifted the glass to her nose to smell it first before throwing it back making Aubrey follow solute, both coughing as the alcohol ran through their systems. Aubrey straightened up first as she looked over her shoulder at the other half of the group at the opposite end of the bar. “How you spending your night?” Aubrey questioned and Paige thought about it for a second, when in her head, her entire night was revolved around Azzi. “I dunno.” Paige voice had a slight slur to it as she lazily shrugged a shoulder.
Paige smile was smug as she shook her head, she’d herself been on her sixth drink and started to feel her vision daze. “In Azzi’s apartment?” Aubrey spoke honestly making them both bust out laughing while the bartender suddenly slid another two shot glasses in front of them. “Congratulations.” The friendly bartender said who seemed to be in her early 20’s herself, a pixie cut short on her rounded out face and tight uniform that went with the night.
Anybody who was anybody could see how she pushed herself against the bar to show the cleavage from her uniform, both girls being a bit tipsy and Paige smile unchanging was when Azzi could finally look at the blonde and not be to obvious. The look Paige gave her was enough to make her sober up and skin heat with—she didn’t even know if it was anger or was it the way her veins showcased when she barley moved, the rings dancing underneath the light, the girl looked good. Paige always looked good though, past good, she could have anything on and look as such. Azzi didn’t say anything though she only watched from afar, her eyes glued to the scene like a movie with her head still resting.
Paige was having a conversation with the bartender, one that she couldn’t hear. Azzi had perfect view of the way the corner of her lip curled into a shy smile as if the bitch was really making her blush.
The music through the speakers went soft but people still crowded their way to the dance floor as Another Night by Carla La San faded into the air, it was a bit soft for a club but this one was always Azzi’s favorite because of their music choice. It made it seem more sensual; more personal, the beat was familiar to Azzi and the sudden change had her head already lifting from Ice’s shoulder with her ring glistening as her hand moved to take the glasses off eyes.
Paige eyes only had to move an inch maybe two as both her and Azzi locked eyes for about five ongoing seconds.
It happened so quickly that Paige questioned herself if it was real or maybe she’d been so drunk and imagined it.
The beat vibrated the floor beneath them and the bartender continued to make slick talk with Paige who fumbled her words from the interaction she just had with her eyes. Azzi only leaned over a bit and spoke to both Caroline and Ice—Paige was to locked in to pay attention to whatever the woman was saying now, she watched her hug them both and waved to who she couldn’t reach.
They didn’t even talk but Azzi already had Paige spun, she looked at her, even if it was only for a few seconds the girl had still looked at her. Azzi rounded eyes locked onto hers again as she spun and walked in her direction, it was bypassing the bar and a small smile made her glossy lips curl just to break eye contact again so that she could push the door open.
It was a path she didn’t want to go down but she needed the blonde. She needed her so bad.
Paige laughed off instinct already knowing how the night was about to end, her head turned again realizing she was literally mid conversation. “It was nice talkin’ to you.” Paige quickly made out as she didn’t even bother to turn to Aubrey, only patted her arm to signal she was leaving and quickly moved her feet out the bar.
Paige eyes couldn’t help the way they went over the backside of Azzi in that dress. Paige could tell how tentative she’d been with her body, she was fit and every time she moved you could tell as such. Azzi curls bounced with no repercussions and Paige had to shake her head to get herself out her own trance whilst they made their way to her car that was parked in the lot. Azzi went to the passenger side while her eyes worked on anything other than the blonde who was unlocking the door just for them both to slip inside.
The leather seats were cold against Azzi’s arms but she settled into the seat quickly and buckled herself in. Paige had drinks that were fruity enough to cover the alcohol and the two Don Julio shots were already settled in her system, she was well enough to drive. “Had a good night?” Paige questioned seeing as this was the first conversation they ever had since everything happened, it was no way she was going to spend this whole ride in silence. Azzi though took a couple second to answer, she didn’t know if she wanted to speak or not, her mind clouded her as they pulled out of the club’s parking lot.
“I guess.” Azzi said with a shoulder shrug, her elbows digging into her hands as she held herself. “Did you?”
Paige leaned comfortably in her seat, the rings on her fingers glistening every inch she moved. Paige was still dressed in her formal suit and Azzi just couldn’t look at her for to long without feeling her pussy drip against her thong. The low lightning was already enough to give her a sneak peek of her sharp jaw line, Paige was locked in on the road and there weren’t many stop lights to give her leverage to gawk at the beauty in her passenger. “Yeah. I feel like after everything is said and done, this is the best part of a national championship. The rings will be forever.” She spoke honestly and Azzi nodded her head as she even picked up her hand to twirl the ring on her finger. “You’re right.” Azzi added softly enough for the car to eat the sound but Paige heard her, loud and clear.
“And Dallas?” Azzi had confidence now as she looked away from her ring to find Paige’s face.
“It’s good. It’s great—better than good, it’s just different but that was the whole point everything would be different. I love my teammates already and even though every game doesn’t go our way, it isn’t about the loses, it’s about the love of basketball.”
“That’s all everyone sees sometimes is the score. I never understand it. What if we were a team that was winning but we all hated one another, what’s the fun in that shit?” Paige rambled accidentally but Azzi listened to her as they finally approached a stoplight and Paige could turn her head to look at her as well. Azzi lashes had to have gotten longer, they batted each time she blinked and her head was touching the headrest as she took Paige’s words in. “I see what you’re saying.” Azzi had a voice that was a melody in her head and a certain tune that made her chest ache.
“You’re good on the court, everyone has their strengths on the Wings, sometimes they just don’t know how to use them. The loses are bad but the wins are just as good.”
“How would y’know?”
Azzi smiled, her teeth bright even in the low lighting. “You thought you was gone go to Dallas and I wasn’t gone watch people dunk on you?” Paige laugh was loud and contagious enough that Azzi had to join too but the light flashed green and Paige pulled off.
“So, you do watch my games?” Paige had to fact check, she really thought she wouldn’t have bothered to see one but hearing her talk about it like she did was enough to make her hot. “Never missed one.”
Paige had a grin on her face that was small but couldn’t go unnoticed from Azzi, it made a giggle fall from her lips as she shook her head at her. Azzi missed it, she missed her so much but acting on it would’ve made them go all the way back to square one. The thought of it made her laugh fade with a soft breath as she straightened back up in her seat and turned her head to gaze out of the window, the lights bright tonight as they bypassed the building that was by Azzi’s apartment. The ride was coming to an end and she felt so many feelings through her about that, Azzi wished she could name what she felt though. Paige pulled in the parking lot, streetlights shining over the cars already there as she came to a rolling stop at the entrance.
Azzi turned her head to look at her but Paige already had eyes burning into her cheek. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome Azzi.”
The dimple dug deep into her cheek from how hard she’d been smiling. It made her move quicker as she opened the door and stepped out, her heels heard on the concrete as she walked to the entrance door. Azzi knew not to look back because if she did, she’d end right back in that passenger seat and she couldn’t.
She couldn’t, right? If she couldn’t why did it feel so normal and why the fuck did she feel so willing? Azzi walked through the lobby to find the elevator at the end of the room and as she got inside, she went to press the number three for her floor. The lobby entrance opened again though and the blonde hair went unmissed. Azzi almost tripped over her heels to lean forward and hold her hand against the closing door and Paige moved her feet to catch it.
What was Azzi doing? She couldn’t tell you.
What was Paige doing? She missed her. She wanted her, she wanted to consume Azzi for everything she missed. As soon as the fruity yet delicious smell left her car, she realized she couldn’t leave this complex without tasting her. Paige hit the door and Azzi welcomed her with open arms as she wrapped them around Paige who found her mouth with ease; the kiss started small and easy, testing the waters before Azzi dropped her jaw for her tongue and Paige sloppily kissed her as she moved her backwards for her back to hit the wall.
Paige used her palms as they started at her bare shoulders to give them a soft squeeze, the silver cold against her hot skin while they trailed down to her arms making Azzi exhale against her lips. Paige immediately used her tongue to push it inside of her mouth and Azzi used her own to twirl circles around it, at the action, Paige moved her hands to grip her hips whilst Azzi wrapped her mouth around the blondes tongue to suck on it. Paige was dripping at this point while she leaned her head back and Azzi mouth dropped her tongue with a small pop and Paige took her bottom lip into her mouth. “What’re we doing?” Azzi said questioned, sort of out of breath and confusion written on her pretty face.
Paige used her hand to grip Azzi’s jaw, nice and firm just like how she liked it. Paige could only give her lips one more singular peck and the doors pulled open. “Whatever you want.”
Azzi personally blinked herself to life as the two breathed against each others lips for another five seconds, it seemed as if five was the lucky number tonight. Azzi moved passed her as she walked down her familiar hall to her apartment—she could hear Paige behind her while her hand slipped in the bra of her dress to pull her key out, she went without a purse and the sight made Paige laugh. “You still do that shit?”
“What? It’s safe and you use to love it.” Azzi giggled and pushed open the door and let her hand fall from the knob as she walked inside. The rings were an automatic first, both women sitting them neatly against the small stand posted by her front door.
Paige then shut the door behind them both and before Azzi could move further; she was quick to grab onto her wrist as Azzi spun around, she pulled her in her direction to make them clash but also to catch her mouth for the second time tonight. Azzi tasted sweet while her hands moved to cup Paige’s face in her hands and Paige wrapped an arm around her backside to hold her against herself, moving routinely and smoothly enough as they kissed one another. It seemed like forever so as they moved to the bedroom, their lips never faltered, Paige chased her mouth every time she moved and Azzi would be a liar if she said she didn’t like it.
Paige gave Azzi a final push that had her falling backwards with a huff, it was soft and Paige couldn’t wait to sleep on it after she fucked the soul out of her. Azzi knew that’s exactly what was going to happen tonight too—she knew it when she seen her for the first time in months after the draft, she knew it when she seen her play flirting with the bartender and she knew it when she sat on those leather seats in her car. Azzi wanted her just as bad and the way her eyes took Paige in before her, she was drinking her up.
Azzi was fixed on her elbows, her curls rounding her face as her foot lifted that was still strapped in her Givenchy heels. Azzi applied the pressure to her navel just to drag the heel up against Paige’s vest, the heel catching at the hem of it to showcase the abs she’d missed all these months. “Damn.”
“Missed it?” The smirk on Paige’s face was sly as her hand cuffed the back of the heel to stretch her leg upwards but let it bend against her shoulder. Azzi smiled as she could only look up to really keep contact, Paige was pushing herself against her pussy, she could feel it in this angle easy. Azzi moved her hips against the pressure while her head nodded in answer whilst Paige used her hands to push her dress up her body, it ridded around her waist and the black thong she wore tonight was enough to make Paige moan.
Her hands went from her dress to already to peeling them off, she couldn’t wait. Azzi breath quickened as her heart raced in her chest at her fingertips going across her bare legs, she didn’t want to seem to bothered by it but her touch alone was making her pussy drip. Azzi could feel her clit pulsing as Paige ate her up wifh her eyes and finally she dipped her head back while two of her fingers played with her wet clit, each swipe clicked with the slick already in her pussy. “Shit” She breathed and Paige hummed in acknowledgment of it, applying more pressure and only dipping to one knee as she settled in front of her.
“So wet.” Paige admired with a soft whisper, blue hues lifting to find Azzi falling to her back as her legs braced wider off instinct.
Azzi heels dug into her comforter but it didn’t matter. “Feels good, Azzi?”
“Paige—,” Azzi started but Paige was quick as her firm swipes turned into slower circles then using both fingers to spread her lips, her pussy pink and pretty therefore Paige couldn’t wait anylonger to take her wet clit into her mouth. Paige held her pussy opened as her tongue wrote soft circles then zigzags against her core, head moving sensually to catch each rhythm, to miss no part in the way Azzi legs shook gently.
Paige had a mouth and knew how to use it. Azzi breathy moans turned into deep exhales while her hands gripped the cover, her upper body twitching as Paige laid her tongue flat each time her jaw loosened to suck her clit into her mouth, it was messy. “Oh my—what the fuck Paige?” Azzi eyebrows frowned as her head could only lift for a few seconds before falling back again with her eyes rolling to the back of her head—Paige tongue dipping repeatedly into her entrance, plunging as deep as she could and when Azzi knees attempted to cross, she braced both hands against her heels to hold her legs apart.
Azzi toes curled, she couldn’t run only dig her hips deeper into the blondes mouth, her hips lifting from the sheets as she chased her tongue.
Paige moaned into her slick, her eyes watching as her hips did all the work for her while Azzi was practically pulling her sheets off.
Paige graced her with a few more seconds of her tongue before pulling away and quickly swiped her tongue over her lips before slipping up and catching Azzi’s mouth. Azzi could taste herself, Paige hands now braced against either side of her head as the cold air now touched her wet pussy. “I wanna feel it Azzi.” Paige pulled at her jeans so that she could step out of them and even stood to her feet and tossed the vest off herself; Azzi lifted to make the straps go first then lifted the dress to take it off completely, Paige pulling the button up off her arm to throw it to the floor and dug her knee into the bed to get on top.
Before she did, Paige grabbed one ankle to undo the single strap around it and let it fall to the floor but before she did the other, Paige straddled her so her knee could rest against Azzi’s hip.
Azzi touched against her thigh, rubbing her hand against her soft skin, squeezing the muscle barley formed there. Paige had Azzi’s leg in her grip, holding her open on her own accord, their pussies haven’t touched one another and it wouldn’t happen unless Paige made contact. “Paige please?” Azzi whimpered, her abdomen already tightening as if she could cum off this sight alone. “Why you rushin’?” Paige spoke softly as she undid this heel’s strap next, moving more slower than she did with the other one, she let the heel hang against her foot as she pressed a kiss where the strap once was.
“I wanna feel it—I wanna feel you too Paige so bad, I’m begging you.” Azzi so soft spoken and Paige used the free hand she had to place it against her abs, moving it up slowly, making her stomach hallow and flinch from the feeling as Paige grabbed on her chest whilst moving her thumb against her nipple that’d already been rock hard. Paige multitasked as she pushed the heel off her foot and they both listened to it hit the ground but her tongue was already out, moving from the base of her heel to the top of her foot to kiss against her toes. “Oh my God.” Azzi moaned as she placed her hand against Paige’s that’d still been squeezing her chest, each squeeze making her wetter as time passed.
“I wanna admire you though.” Paige murmured, her kisses still soft on her flesh as she spoke against her toes. “I wanna ruin you.” Paige eased down making their pussies finally touch with a soft squelch, she didn’t lift, only move her hips against her as Azzi moaned loudly into the air.
“You can, whatever you want whatever you want” Azzi chanted; she didn’t even have to move, only feel as her clit caught onto hers repeatedly in the motion. Azzi was so loud, louder than she remembered in turn making her go faster as Paige eyes slowly blinked shut at the euphoric feeling. “Oh shit” Paige took her bottom lip into her mouth, adjusting her legs so she could finally lift and rub their pussies at the same time.
Azzi had to lift her head from the new motion so she could watch their slick mix together; her hips started to buck upwards, chasing Paige’s pussy, each time their clits met was when their moans increased. Azzi’s breathy exhales and Paige’s moans we’re soft and repetitive with the same noise that Azzi felt herself dripping from, she finally lifted her eyes again to find Paige already looking at her with a fasanation that had her close to cumming.
Azzi eyes were almost dazed shut with lust, she could barely keep them open as her breath skipped from Paige picking up the pace. “You feel so good. You always feel so good Azzi.” Paige voice filled her ears and her head fell backwards again, she could never keep it up for long and her hips stilled as she felt her oragasm brewing. “You gone cum on my pussy huh? I can feel how close you are.” Paige skimmed her hand up her chest to wrap her hand around Azzi’s throat, holding her against the mattress as Paige hips fucked her into it.
Azzi couldn’t even talk, the pleasure running through her body had her pussy dripping and her mind numbing as her jaw dropped but no sounds fell out, her face pouty as she used both hands to grab onto Paige’s face. “Cum for me Azzi, do it please soak me baby.”
Azzi gasped so harsh that it left her throat quaking. The more she came, the more wetter she got and Paige moved her hand from her throat to hold onto her hips steady and keep her own moving. “I’m so close baby I promise.” Paige breathed as she looked down to watch their pussies slap together, Azzi’s slick wetting their thighs and the cover beneath them but Paige’s attention was brought back up by Azzi. Azzi pulled her downwards so their lips could touch, they kissed sloppily as Paige held her mouth open to let Azzi tongue explore her own. Paige body was getting weak in the position as she felt the oragasm brewing deep in her stomach, her mouth open as she exhaled deeply into Azzi’s mouth everytime they touched and Azzi opened her own to bite her bottom lip and suck it into her mouth.
Off rip, she came. Paige came so hard, it knocked her breath out of her.
Azzi giggle was heard in her chest as she rubbed her hand down her damp back as Paige laid there atop of her then she fixed on undoing the bun that was in her hair, pulling at the million hair ties in her hair, tossing them onto the floor each time she got one loose. Azzi let it cascade down her shoulders and back. Azzi ran her fingers from her scalp to her ends, earning a soft groan from Paige before she finally lifted up. “Turn around.”
Azzi moved like lightning, she turned her body and braced her knees into the bed as she stretched her arms out before her and arched her back deep. Paige licked her lips at the sight, she couldn’t help the way her hand went back and slapped her ass, twice for good measure making Azzi hiss into the sheets but never flinched.
“Harder please.” Azzi had a knack for speaking softly as if someone could hear her, she was soft in every way.
Paige did it again, the stinging sensation had Azzi dripping whilst she made sure to never lose her arch. Paige backed up a few paces, her eyes going around the room. “Where’d you put them?”
Azzi smiled into the bed just to turn it so her mouth would be free. “Closet.” Paige smirked and spun as she opened the walk in closet she was familiar with. Her eyes found the box sitting on the floor, she pulled it back and moved quickly to pull out the skin type 8inch strap.
Every single toy they owned she let Azzi keep. Paige didn’t want them. It was a awkward but important question in the relationship but Paige never spoke on it, they always stayed at Azzi’s anyway so she wasn’t phased. Dallas wasn’t fulfilled with nothing but basketball for her, she knew who she wanted. Paige knew who she’d always want—Azzi who moved her head again to look at the body length mirror beside her bed, it wasn’t wide but lengthy enough to catch her body, her skin looked golden under the small lamp light she left on. Azzi heard the closet door clicked close and heard the cover ruffle as Paige got behind her.
You couldn’t see her in the mirror unless she was pressed against her but with her braced behind her, hands rubbing up her sides, all Azzi could see was her body and flushed face. Azzi breath caught as her eyes shut at the feeling of Paige’s hands, she pulled her backwards making her breath catch.
It straightened her knees, she felt Paige’s finger trace the arch she straightened as well. “Such a pretty slut Azzi.” Azzi inhaled at her words just to finally exhale as she felt Paige finger against her slit, collecting her slick that sounded with only one finger. “Shit” Paige breathed at the sound of it, one hand still settled on hip up as she held her steady.
Azzi was dying, she couldn’t help the way her toes curled in anticipation, she wanted it so bad. Azzi curled her head making her chin touch her shoulder, Paige was rubbing her slick against the tip and the view of her bare chest and harness snug on her hips had her heart drumming. Azzi only moved her hips back a bit teasingly, softly moaning into the sheets. “I missed you baby.” Paige face was so smug, she could still see how red she got. “Yeah?”
“You know I did. I watched every game, every new ad, I loved to look at you Paige.” Azzi voice so slurry and Paige was catching her entrance on the tip, pushing her hips forward a bit making Azzi words tremble to a soft moan. “Loved it? You loved looking at me?” Paige spoke lowly as she pushed her hips all the way to the base, she moaned at the squelch that followed and pushed her hips back and forth in a steady pace.
Azzi moaned at each thrust, squeezing the comforter. “So fuckin’ much, all the time Paige.” Azzi felt the strap nudging her Gspot only when she moved her hips back, a sound forming between their skin meeting and Paige bracing both hands against her hips now. “So good Azzi such a good girl for me, throw that shi back just for me.” Azzi squeezed her eyes shut with her legs trembling beneath her—Paige had her braced with both hands easy as she fucked into her, her own breathing stuttering each time they met and the pressure against her clit made her breath shaky after her words.
Paige nails dug into her hips, she was losing herself in it, fluttering her own eyes but still tranced in the way Azzi pussy coated the strap. Azzi was making a mess on both of their thighs, pulling her back sharply but Azzi still met her with the pace within her hips. They were fucking one another in this position as their skin heated in sweat, giving their all to one another as their moans flowed steady through the room.
“Ohhh shiit Azzi” Azzi sunk her teeth into her lip, her hands were braced beneath her now so she could throw her ass back comfortably. She could go like this for a hour and not get tired, she wanted to feel it, she knew how close Paige was. “Cum wimmie’, please baby, I’m so close.” Paige’s hips stilled suddenly as her head slowly fell backwards, a groan falling from her as her hand braced against her back to not stop her but to feel her. Paige felt the way her muscles clenched as she dug her hips too her, sliding her hand down to her ass to squeeze it as she came.
Azzi moaned at the feeling of her nails scratching down her back, the pressure of it was enough to make herself cum as her legs twitched from it. Her legs had to eventually slow as her pussy pulsed, her body shaking as Paige pulled out of her completely only for Azzi to fall flat on her stomach.
“Oh my God.” She huffed out in exhaustion while Paige discarded the strap and let it fall to her feet, falling against the bed next to her as she grabbed ahold of her. Paige had to shift both of their lifeless bodies upwards but Azzi was already half slumped against her, she still pulled her close so they could get comfortable under the thick comforter.
“Azzi—,” Paige went to talk but the exhaustion that rolled off Azzi didn’t matter, she quickly tugged Paige closer towards her in a lazy embrace with her head between the blondes neck, a kiss so soft laid there that Paige barley felt it. “Not tonight.” Azzi started as she then lazily embraced her again, breathing her in.
“We’ll talk about it in the morning just sleep with me now please.” Azzi spoke and Paige didn’t say much else, only laid there with a slow nod as she got comfortable in her embrace.
“Baby, are you sure this is okay?” I looked in the rear view mirror from the driver’s seat of my mama’s SUV, that was dropped off at the airport last night, just in time to see Paige nervously adjusting the bill of her Dallas hat she got last year.
“…Paige Bueckers,” I deadpanned. “You have played in front of twenty thousand people.”
“Yeah,” she nodded seriously. “But they ain’t your grandma.” Azzi snorted from next to me. “She’s got a point.”
“You too?” Paige gasped dramatically.
“I’m just saying… your grandma has that church stare.” I couldn’t even argue because… She absolutely did.
I reached over the center console, intertwining my fingers with Azzi’s “They’re gonna love y’all.”
“…Even after we tell them?”
I smiled. “They’ll probably be confused.”
“Probably?”
“They’re in their seventies, P.”
Paige, sighed then leaned forward between our seats.
“I’m ready, I guess.”
“You say that now.”
“I am.”
“…Until Grandpa starts asking questions.”
The second we pulled into my grandparents’ yard…
Chaos. Pure. Southern. Chaos.
Kids were chasing each other with water balloons. My uncles were arguing over who burned the ribs.
Somebody had music blasting from a speaker. My auntie screamed—“THE BABY’S HERE!”
I laughed. “I’m twenty-two!”
“You’ll always be the baby!” Before I could even shut my door I was swallowed into hugs.
Then…
Every single person noticed the two gorgeous basketball players standing behind me.
“…Well now.” My grandma smiled politely. “And who are these pretty girls?”
I wrapped an arm around Azzi. The other around Paige. I looked between everyone gathered on the porch.
“So…”
Deep breath. “I wanted y’all to meet my girlfriends.”
…
Silence. One cousin dropped his soda. My aunt blinked.
My granddaddy adjusted his glasses.
“I’m sorry.”
He pointed.
“You said… girlfriends?”
“Yes sir.”
“As in…”
He looked at Paige.
“…And…”
He pointed to Azzi.
“…Her?”
“Yes sir.”
“…At the same time?”
“Yes sir.”
Grandma blinked three times.
“Oh.”
Another pause.
“…Well.”
She shrugged.
“Y’all hungry?”
I burst out laughing. Dinner hadn’t even started before the questions began. Granddaddy waved me over to the porch swing.
“Come explain this.”
I already knew, he’d want to know it all but I still asked…
“What part?”
“All of it.”
Paige whispered to Azzi— “I’m scared.”Azzi whispered back—“Me too.”
I sat beside Grandpa. “So…” He folded his hands. “You dating both of ’em?”
“Mhm.”
“They know?” I laughed so hard I nearly fell off the swing. “Yes!”
“They okay with that?”
“They’re dating each other too.”
His eyebrows disappeared into his hairline.
“So…” He pointed between us “Everybody’s dating everybody?”
“Pretty much.”
“Hm.”
He sat quietly. “So…” I waited. “Nobody fighting?”
“No.”
“Nuh-uh.”
“No jealousy?”
“…Sometimes.”
“Oh.”
“But we communicate.”
“Hm.”
He nodded thoughtfully. “So basically…”
I smiled. “Basically?”
“It’s like having two people making sure you eat.”
“Exactly.”
“Two people fussing when you don’t sleep.”
“Yep.”
“Two people loving you.”
I smiled softly.
“Exactly.”
He rocked slowly.
“Huh.”
Another long pause.
“I don’t understand it.”
“I know.”
“But…”
He looked toward where Paige was helping my little cousins throw footballs while Azzi was laughing with my grandma in and out the kitchen.
“They look at you like you’re the sun.”
My throat tightened.
“They do.”
“So long as everybody’s happy…”
He shrugged.
“I reckon that’s your business.”
I hugged him so hard he laughed.
“There goes my baby.”
The announcement somehow spread through to the rest of the family in under…
Six minutes.
By the pool my cousin Marcus grinned “So…” He looked at Paige. “You got two girlfriends?”
Paige proudly nodded. “I do.”
“Dang.”
She grinned.
“I know.”
The Georgia heat was criminal. So naturally… Everyone ended up in the pool.Paige cannonballed first.
Azzi and my cousin Denise who were by the pool screamed.
“PAIGE!”
“What?!”
“You splashed everybody, Including us!”
“I was establishing dominance!”
I jumped in after her.
“You established nothing.”
“I established waves.”
Some time later on. The annual family games began.
Then came tug-of-war. Paige planted herself like she was Game 5 of the Finals. “Pull!”
Azzi laughed so hard she couldn’t even hold the rope.
“Baby!” I yelled.
“I’m trying!”
“You are literally laughing!” Paige growled trying to keep us from losing.
“I can’t help it!” Azzi now hands free from the rope, is hunched over laughing as pure as ever.
Once we decide to take a break and eat some more. Marcus made the biggest mistake of his life. He looked at Paige.
“I bet I can eat more glizzys than you.” The yard went silent. Paige slowly lowered her sunglasses.
“…Excuse me?”
“I said—”
“I heard you.” She stood. “You wanna make that official?” Marcus grinned. “Oh yeah.”
Someone yelled—“HOT DOG EATING CONTEST!” Within minutes…
A folding table appeared. Ten hot dogs each. Everyone crowded around.Azzi leaned toward Paige. You don’t actually have to do this.”
Paige cracked her knuckles.“Oh… But I absolutely do.”
“READY!”
Grandpa held up his phone like a stopwatch. “SET!”
I squeezed Paige’s shoulder. “You got this.” Azzi kissed her cheek. “Make us proud.”
Paige smirked. “I was born for this.”
“GO!”
Absolute madness. The entire family screamed. “EAT!”
“MOVE THEM GLIZZYS!”
“MARCUS HURRY!”
Halfway through… Marcus slowed down. Paige?
Never broke or faltered. She just kept eating. I couldn’t breathe from laughing. Azzi was crying tears of laughter.
“LET’S GO P!”
“ONE MORE!”
“DON’T LET THAT MAN WIN!”
Marcus finally tapped out after seven. Paige calmly finished… Number ten. She raised both hands.
“I AM THE GLIZZY CHAMPION OF GEORGIA!”
The yard erupted. My uncle handed her a paper plate like it was a championship belt. Grandma shook her head. “Lord have mercy.”
The rest of the afternoon was perfect.
Swimming. Water guns. Kick ball. Volleyball. Dominoes on the porch. And more rounds of spades than counted happened.
Azzi somehow became my grandma’s favorite after helping her carry desserts out.
“You come back whenever you want, baby.” Azzi smiled.“Yes ma’am.”
Paige dramatically gasped. “I’ve been replaced.”
“You lost Grandma.”
“I beat Marcus!”
“Grandma doesn’t care.”
As the sun started setting, everyone gathered outside with sparklers. The younger kids ran around laughing.
Music floated through the warm summer air. The smell of barbecue still lingered.
I stood between my girls watching the sky slowly turn shades of orange and pink.
Paige slipped her hand into mine. Azzi wrapped an arm around my waist “This…”Paige whispered. “…is nice.”
I leaned my head against hers. “I’ve always wanted to bring the people I love here.” Azzi smiled.
“I’m glad we’re finally not hiding.”Neither was I. No more “best friends.” No more this is just my “teammate”. Just… Us. Loudly. Proudly. Happy.
Before I could say more. The first firework exploded overhead. Boom.
Gold scattered across the Georgia sky. Everyone looked up. My little cousin squealed. Grandpa wrapped an arm around Grandma.
My parents stood shoulder-to-shoulder smiling at us. Paige whispered, “I love your family.”
“They love you.”
“You think so?”
I laughed. “My grandma literally packed y’all leftovers before dinner was over.” Azzi chuckled.
“That is true.”
Another firework burst overhead, painting the night in reds and blues. Without thinking, I reached for both of their hands.
Three hands intertwined. Three hearts full. Three people who somehow found each other in a world that always tried to make love fit into one neat little box.
As another firework lit up the sky, Paige squeezed our hands.
“So…” She smiled. “Same time next Fourth of July?”
Azzi grinned. “I’m only coming if you’re defending your hot dog title.” Paige placed a hand dramatically over her heart. “I’ll defend this championship until my dying day.”
I laughed so hard tears formed in my eyes. “My family is never letting you live this down just so you know.”
“I don’t want them to.” She smiled at both of us. “Because this…”
She looked around at my family dancing in the yard, kids chasing sparklers, my grandparents sitting together on the porch, and the fireworks exploding above us.
Scenario: Watching Azzi and Paige play in the all star game makes you needy for them
Warnings: smut, fingering
You watch as Azzi and Paige run down on offense. Paige effortlessly dribbling the ball, and Azzi running to her signature corner. The way they played together was effortless and always filled you with pride. And today was no different, especially since it was the all star game.
But beyond that pride, and knowing that both your girlfriends were all stars, was something else. Something deeper that settled right in between your thighs.
You couldn’t help the way your body reacted to the sight of their sweat clinging to their skin. Or the way their muscles flexed as they ran up and down the court. How their jerseys sat loose around their chest, lifting just enough to show a little ab anytime they took a shot.
The sight of it was just too much and it left you gone. And by the time the final buzzer rang you were so far along, you couldn’t think of anything but their touch. Your body warm and begging for any and every part of them.
———————————————————————————
When you finally walk into your hotel room, you’re more than a mess for the both of them. Your eyes are blown out, shoulders tense, and the way your thighs squeeze together, tell Azzi and Paige more than you could ever say.
“Baby, are you okay?” Azzi asks as she walks over to you, her voice low as she trys to conceal her amusement.
“yeah I’m alright Az…just excited for the after party” your words are distant and shallow, doing little to come off as the truth.
“Are you sure you’re not excited for something else babe, cause your legs are telling us a different story” Paige says, as she trails her hands down your body.
You try to think of what to say next, but your brain short circuits and forces your mouth against Paige’s. Both of you quickly fighting for dominance as you deepen the kiss. Your hands moving to grip her hair as you push for more.
However, she slowly pulls back from you, a string of saliva connecting your lips. You try to go back for more, but you’re pushed on to the bed and Azzi quickly takes Paige’s place. Her tongue slipping into your mouth, as her hands grip your waist.
“Fuck you’re so pretty baby…so needy for us. I bet you were wet the whole game, huh?”
Azzi’s words mixed with the suction of Paige’s lips quickly overloads you and you start to grind against Azzi’s thigh. Your core searching for any type of stimulation. Anything to relief you from the pressure you’re feeling.
Just as you were beginning to get somewhere, your body finding a nice rhythm; you’re stopped by Paige, her hands roughly gripping your waist.
“That’s not how you ask, and you know it. Ask fucking properly or you get nothing”
“P-please can you touch me, I’m begging you. I need it”
Your proper pleads break something in Paige, causing her to quickly plunger her fingers into you. Your walls clench around her as she pistons into, her pace never letting up as she try’s to force an organ out of you.
Meanwhile, Azzi has moved from your mouth to your tits. Her tongue swirling around the bud, as she works to add on to the pleasure. The feeling of it all instantly makes you weak, your legs already trembling as that familiar sensation quickly settles in the pit of your stomach.
“Please…fuck-please I’m close. Please more”
Both Azzi and Paige pick up their pace in response. Paige’s fingers repeatedly hitting that same gummy spot deep inside you, and Azzi’s tongue lapping against the skin of your breast as her fingers pinch the bud of your nipples.
As your orgasm washes over, your body begins to tremble from the force of it. Azzi and Paige still moving in and against you as they fuck you through your high. And through the haze of post orgasm bliss, you couldn’t help but feel same emotion from earlier; pride.

Happy All-star Weekend!
Also I’ve started on request, and will try to finish them as soon as possible 🤍
my long awaited return to tumblr!! this has been sitting in my google docs since idk when, but pharmacy school has taken me out and so this never truly got finished (it's 9k words, they barely get together and i had massive plans for this) but anyways we're in a pazzi x reader fic drought, so please enjoy :) (also every time i try to go back, it doesn't feel right)
you committed to uconn to play basketball, and you weren’t really sure how. you weren’t an all-american player, but geno and cd still ended up at one of your tournament games, and clearly liked what they saw. you weren’t loud and a menace like paige, and you couldn’t sink every jumper like azzi, but you were good at ball movement. you could read plays like the back of your hand, and anticipate the moves of your opponent like it was second nature.
you ended up at uconn with a ton of other freshmen, all of them big names: kk arnold, ashlynn shade, jana el alfy, and qadence samuels. they were loud, funny, and easily fit in with the team. you seemed like the odd one out; quieter but a yapper once you opened up. humble, but willing to take credit when necessary. apologetic, but also bold in a way that you weren’t afraid to speak your feelings.
that’s why aubrey attached herself to you. she could see that you were struggling to fit in. so, when you hung back after practice to hit the shots you missed, she waited around and called you rookie when your cheeks warmed as she gave you feedback. it was weird having her eyes on you, but also kind of nice to laugh and joke around.
“talk to me,” she said, the two of you sitting on the sidelines now as her shoulder nudged yours.
“it’s weird. i feel like i don’t belong here,” you whisper, holding the ball between your palms.
“you do. if nothing else to ride the bench,” she teases, pulling a small giggle from your lips.
she taps your forehead, “don’t overthink. you’re good.”
and aubrey was in your corner from there on out. she watched over you, silently, like a lioness watching her cubs. she let you fend for yourself, but gave you the reassurance you needed. then, one day, geno puts you with the starters. you gulp, but look at aubrey who is giving you an encouraging smile and a thumbs up.
paige starts calling plays, and you move around based on her instruction and the practice players. then you see it, the way her eyes flicker to the corner, and how it’s empty. you’re there before she can call for it, and when she gives you a no look pass before you sink the three, you feel yourself surge with pride. geno stops the play, talking about some things he didn’t like, but he never mentions you. instead, when you run it again and again with the squad, he watches you move. you intercept a pass easily, running down for a layup on the breakaway; you follow the ball, and create turnover after turnover that leads to basket after basket. and when it’s time for a water break, and geno pats you on the shoulder with a small “good job kid” you smile and head over to aubrey.
aubrey keeps her mouth shut at first, but when she sees your radiant smile, she can’t help herself.
“i told you,” she gloats, and you kick her foot.
“shut up,” you mumble, grabbing a towel from one of the managers.
azzi, who’s also sitting on the sidelines catching her breath, overhears the conversation. she can’t help herself from jumping in. of course she noticed you, the quiet rookie attached to aubrey’s hip, but she didn’t feel the need to call you out. why make you uncomfortable when you’re already feeling pressured?
“you were great,” she compliments, a bright smile on her face as she watches your eyes widen. you point to yourself, as if you can’t believe she’s talking to you, and azzi laughs before nodding. “paige doesn’t give no look passes to just anyone.”
geno calls the two of you back onto the court before you can respond.
azzi doesn’t interact with you again until a few days later. paige is nervous, amped up, so she wants to shoot around. azzi goes with her, never straying far from the blonde’s side. they expect the practice center to be empty, but they can hear the bouncing of a ball, squeaking of shoes, and the hamilton soundtrack from the hallways. paige’s brows furrow, and she gives azzi a confused look, who just shrugs.
you went to the practice gym as a stress relief. it’s corny, and you know you’ll be tired at practice tomorrow, but you don’t care. the stress of college athletics, academics, and self-doubt are eating away at you. hooping is the best way to resolve that. your mind starts to wander, but you focus on lin-manuel miranda’s rapping and the bright orange rim. the door opening doesn’t even phase you because you don’t hear it.
paige recognizes you, and she makes the first move.
“you always practice this late, rookie? or just on tuesdays,” she calls and you jump, missing the shot.
“oh my god you scared the shit out of me,” you gasp, hand resting on your heart as the older girls laugh.
“sorry,” paige replies, but she doesn’t sound sorry at all, not when she’s looking at you with a mischievous glint in her eyes.
“you got a game or something?” azzi asks, her voice is teasing, but there’s a hint of actual concern there.
you shake your head, “an econ exam. due thursday and i haven’t taken it yet,” you explain.
“micro or macro?” paige asks, dribbling the ball between her legs.
“micro,” you answer. “and supply and demand is just too much,” you add, shaking your head as you take another shot and sink it.
“gotcha,” azzi mumbles, pulling a chair to halfcourt. “good thing you’re listening to hamilton then,” she teases and you flush.
“i can turn it off,” you say, reaching for your phone to change the music.
“nah, he ran the treasury. there’s gotta be something in these raps,” paige says, hitting a three as she comes to stand beside you.
you nod, and it’s quiet between the three of you. paige takes another shot, and you follow suit. you don’t say anything because you don’t know what to say. you’re shooting around with paige bueckers, who hits no-look passes, chirps at refs, and makes basketball look easy. there's azzi fudd, who’s just as good, with a radiant smile and charming personality. they’re your teammates, but it’s still overwhelming.
“you always this quiet?” paige asks, her eyes briefly flickering to you before she takes a jumper.
“babe,” azzi deadpans from her seat, while you choke on your words.
you clear your throat, trying to find something to say, but you come up empty handed. how do you explain yourself to them?
“even at practice you’re quiet, which is crazy because i know you know some of geno’s plays are dumb,” paige continues, filling the void.
“i mean that one the other day, where he wanted you on the wing,” she keeps talking, looking at you now.
“yeah i don’t know what he was thinking with that,” you agree, a small smile on your face as her blue eyes light up.
“you should tell him that,” she teases, throwing an arm around your shoulders.
you risk a look at azzi, who is shaking her head with a dumb smile on her face. “i’ll think about it,” you answer.
“i’ll teach you how,” paige finishes, and you actually laugh this time.
azzi, who’s watching from halfcourt, smiles at the sight, because you’re fitting in, just like her and aubrey said you would.
“by the way,” paige whispers as you both start to wrap up, “you shouldn’t worry about your spot on the team so much. you’re already fitting right in.”
the next day at practice, paige approaches you. you’re laughing with aubrey about something, when the blonde strolls over. she’s relaxed as she throws an arm around your shoulders. you tense, turning to look at the person, only to come face to face with paige bueckers and her bright blue eyes.
“so how was the econ exam, rookie?” she asks, voice a little teasing but also holding a serious note to it.
you gulp before nodding your head. “fine. yeah it was fine. i got a ninety so,” you ramble, shrugging your shoulders like it’s no big deal.
both paige and aubrey smile at your words, nudging your shoulders as they compliment you. your cheeks flame from all the attention, especially when other girls come over to find out what’s going on. but paige is the one to tell them, proudly, like you just cured cancer or something. the girls congratulate you. ashlynn throws you a warm smile, and kk makes a joke about you becoming the team tutor. for a minute, right before practice, you finally feel like a part of the team.
things only get better from there. you start hanging out with kk and jana outside of practice and film reviews. they’re funny, kind, and you wish that you talked to them sooner. of course you still have aubrey, your rock and steady supporter, but it’s nice to be friends with people your own age. then there’s paige and azzi, who keep running into you as they attempt to pull you out of your shell.
“yo,” paige calls, drawing your attention. “what’s your first night song?” she asks, referencing the event to celebrate the first night of official basketball practices.
you hesitate, because you have an idea, but it sounds corny admitting it out loud.
“what?” azzi asks, a big smile on her face as she holds a ball on her hip.
“nothing. i’m still deciding,” you mumble.
“nah. you definitely picked a song out,” kk teases, nudging your shoulder as you shoot a three.
“i haven’t,” you reply, but your whole body feels hot under the lie and everyone’s stare.
“you said you had an idea yesterday,” jana deadpans, completely throwing you under the bus.
“it’s stupid,” you mumble, diverting your attention as you hit another jumper.
“who cares? first night is a joke anyways,” aubrey replies, and a few of the other older girls hanging around agree.
“it’s purely for the fans,” aaliyah chimes in, stepping into a spot next to you, “so the stupider the better honestly.”
you hesitate, but everyone is eagerly waiting for you to drop the name of the song. across the gym, you make eye contact with azzi. her brown eyes are soft, and there’s a small, encouraging smile on her face. she gives you a subtle nod. it makes your heart thud as you take a deep breath, and mumble the song title. nobody hears but kk and aaliyah, who are standing right next to you. they both exchange a glance, checking to see if you’re serious, before busting out laughing.
“no way,” kk howls.
“you serious?” aaliyah adds.
your cheeks feel even warmer now, and you reach for a random ball to distract yourself. “i said it was stupid,” you mumble.
“wait, what are the options?” jana asks.
“bro, she pulled out a youtube diss track,” kk jokes, and you glare at her.
“the fall of jake paul is a national treasure,” you snap.
“the fall of jake paul? like the logan paul song?” paige asks, and you can tell she’s trying to hold in her laughter too.
“is there another fall of jake paul?” aaliyah replies, but the question is rhetorical.
“why would you pick that song?” paige asks, laughing a little as she looks over at you.
“because! you’re telling me someone walking out when logan says ‘uh oh that’s alissa violet used to be your chick’ isn’t a baddie move?” you argue, getting animated as you talk.
“wait why is that kinda…” kk trails off, pointing her finger at you.
“smart? yeah, call me a fan favorite,” you joke, quickly making another shot.
“somebody’s a little confident,” azzi chimes in from her spot at halfcourt.
for some reason, it’s azzi’s tone and comment that make you blush. she’s not wrong; in high school and aau ball you were a confident player, but uconn is different. it’s hard to imagine yourself playing at the collegiate level, even though you’re doing it right now. goofing around about a youtube diss track with your teammates, however, makes you feel more like yourself.
then there’s the problem with azzi being the one to point it out. her teasing makes your heart flutter, even though you’re ninety percent sure she’s dating paige. the two of them are always together, both on and off the court. wherever paige goes, azzi is close behind. wherever azzi goes, paige is always there with a hand resting on the small of her back. they sit next to each other during film, whispering and giggling about god knows what. you’ve caught them together during meals and study hall, sitting a little too close for just friends. they’re roommates too, which only seems to further the dating theory, but you never bring it up. not to kk, not to aubrey, and definitely not to them. you just sit silently, observing, while trying to calm your racing heart every time they smile or laugh your way.
by the time first night rolls around, you’re positive that you have a crush on them. paige is too smooth, and every time her blue eyes flicker in your direction your entire body heats up. azzi is too sweet, always seeking you out or resting a comforting hand on your shoulder when things get tough. it’s overwhelming, but it also leaves you guilty. you feel like a homewrecker; wedging your way into a perfectly good relationship. so, you try to distance yourself that night at ted’s, the campus bar everyone is going to after the event.
it works for a little bit. you’re laughing with kk and ice about something stupid, while sipping on a drink that aubrey got you. it’s easy to joke around with them until they catch you in the act, glancing over at paige and azzi who are standing just close enough to toe the line between friends and lovers. your observation, however, is interrupted by a group of guys approaching your table.
“hey can we get a picture?” one of them asks.
you ignore them, figuring they’re talking to ice or something, but she elbows you.
“what?” you ask.
“they want a picture with alissa violet,” she teases, taking the guy’s phone as you look at the group.
the boys all laugh at her words, and one of them makes a comment about your iconic choice. you set your drink down on the table, and move to stand in the middle of the group. the two guys next to you throw their arms around your waist, and you follow suit. when ice shows off the photo, it looks like you’re standing in between an old group of friends.
“wait that’s cute. send me that,” you ask, already taking out your phone so he can airdrop it to you.
“deadass?” he asks, a flirtatious look in his eyes.
“yeah! i’m gonna tell my mom i’m famous,” you joke.
“oh duh. i heard you were a beast in high school too,” he says, never once looking away from you.
“really? who said that?” you reply, shocked.
“espn,” his friend answers.
“well, they’re lying,” you say.
“we’ll see about that,” the original guy, the one sending you the photo, replies.
“if i get any minutes. i’m pretty sure i’ll be playing the bench this whole season,” you joke, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
“nah you’ll get time. especially in blowout games,” he assures, before mumbling something about the airdrop feature not working.
“how about you give me your number and i’ll just text it to you?” he offers, and you agree, typing in your number in the imessage bar.
“cool. i’ll send it when i have better service, but maybe i can buy you a drink?” he asks, and you cringe a little.
“are you flirting?” you ask straight-up, taking a sip of your drink now.
he blushes, “is it that obvious?”
“maybe not to straight girls,” you reply, and he deflates. his friends laugh a little, patting him on the shoulder at the rejection.
“but i’m serious about the photo. if it’s not in my messages by tomorrow morning, i’ll find you,” you tease, an easy smile on your face.
the boy nods before heading off with his friends.
you turn back to the table, expecting to see ice and kk still waiting, but nobody is there. instead, everyone is crowded around another table in the back, all watching you with barely contained excitement. you finish your drink, dropping the empty cup on the bar as you make your way over, sliding into the space between paige and kk.
“so?” kk asks, dragging out the vowel as she leans into your side.
“so?” you reply, mocking her.
“you were talking for a long time,” ice observes, wiggling her eyebrows.
you shake your head, a playful smile on your face as you shut the insinuations down: “it was nothing. i gave him my number for the photo so i can send it to my mom.”
“not because he was cute, right,” aaliyah teases and you make a disgusted face.
“i mean he was alright, but i’m gay so,” you answer with a shrug.
kk and ice almost do a spit take, while some of the other girls look shocked at your statement. you thought it was obvious, but maybe you weren’t. it’s not like you tried to hide it; there were still pictures of you and your ex from prom on your instagram page. then again, you hadn’t explicitly brought it up with them.
“what?” you asked, looking around at your teammates who all appear baffled.
“nothing,” aubrey murmurs.
“no tell me,” you demand, trying to be stern but there’s a huge smile on your face because honestly this whole thing is kind of funny.
“i thought you were into guys,” aubrey admits.
you shrug, “no men for me,” you joke which elicits another laugh.
the conversation continues, switching to something else, but the entire time you notice that paige and azzi are uncharacteristically quiet. you throw them a look, a small smile on your face as you try to gauge their reaction. they don’t seem that shocked — paige has a knowing look in her eye and azzi seems a bit relieved.
“you don’t seem that surprised,” you joke, leaning on the table to meet paige and azzi’s gaze.
the blonde shrugs, a confident little smirk on her face. she turns to azzi, and the two of them exchange knowing smiles before turning back to you. you feel small under their gaze, so you reach for one of the abandoned drinks on the table to give yourself something to focus on aside from them. before you can muster the courage to ask what that’s about or they can explain themselves, they’re pulled into a different conversation.
their behavior from that night sits with you long after the fact. it lingers in all your following encounters: at practice when you make a joke and they laugh while exchanging a knowing look. sometimes, when you smile at kk or whisper a snide comment to jana, you can see azzi’s head tilt or paige’s eyebrow raise from the corner of your eye. you feel scrutinized under their gaze, like they know something you don’t.
by the time the first game of the season rolls around, you’re used to it. used to your spot on the team, used to paige and azzi watching, used to your heart stuttering whenever they get too close. tonight, it’s easy for them to get close. nika has too many fouls for an easy match up like this, so geno calls for the sub. he pulls her and gestures for you to go in. you take a breath, toss nika your warm up shirt while she pats your back, and take the court.
the first thing you notice are the lights. they’re blinding and feel way brighter than the practice facility. then, you register the home crowd. they’re loud and excited, shouting praise and random phrases meant to encourage you. then you notice your teammates. paige makes the calls, directing everyone on the court. you trust her, so it’s easy to listen; she knows something you don’t. then you see the other team, and you notice how easy they are to read. you give them a minute, ensuring that your intuition is right before you bolt.
paige yells, and someone else argues that you're abandoning your post, but you know what she’s doing. you see the pass before they do, and you’re quick about it. you take the ball down, and dribble down the court. there’s no backup, so you have to take the shot, even as the passer closes in on you. she’s gonna foul, you tell yourself, going for an easy layup. she bodies into you. you stumble a second, but stay on your feet, when you hear the whistle you smirk and clap your hands. the rest of the team has finally made it down the court, and you’re quickly pulled into a group huddle.
“nice read,” azzi compliments, patting your back.
you nod, taking the second to catch your breath as adrenaline pumps through your veins.
“nothing easy,” paige instructs.
you meet her blue eyes, which are shining with what you think is pride, as you nod your head.
stepping up to the free throw line, you catch the ball from the ref. you take a second to turn the ball over in your palms, letting the cool leather ground you as you bounce around behind the line. finally, you set up to shoot. with an easy flick, the ball sinks into the hoop, and geno calls for you to press. you almost feel bad staying down there, but the girl throwing the inbound pass is easy to read. despite her teammate being heavily guarded by you, she’s going to give it to her. you could intercept, creating a turnover and easy points, but you don’t, and you pay for it as geno yells at you from the sidelines.
with the next whistle, you’re back on the bench. shortly after, paige and azzi join you, filling the empty seats on either side of you. paige grabs a towel from one of the managers, wiping her face before using the towel to shield her mouth from the cameras as she whispers something to you.
“why didn’t you steal the ball?”
you lean forward in your chair so that your elbows rest on your knees, before replying, “why would i?”
“because you could,” azzi quips, mimicking your posture on the other side of you.
you don’t answer right away, instead focusing on the fast pace play happening in front of you. you know you made the wrong call, it’s obvious from everyone’s reaction, but you also played in a manner true to yourself. you don’t believe in running up the score just because you can; why put the other team down when they’re already on the ground? you’ve never played that way -- not in high school or aau tournaments -- and you don’t know if you should plan on it now.
“i just don’t play that way,” you mumble, head turning to follow the ball as kk brings it up the court.
“play what, aggressive?” paige asks, and it sounds like she’s mocking you.
you clench your jaw, meeting her eyes as you deadpan, “no, cocky.”
she seems shocked by your answer, but recovers quickly, “this isn’t high school anymore. this is uconn. we play aggressively.”
it’s quiet for a minute, and you subtly look at azzi, trying to gauge her reaction to the current conversation. she doesn’t say anything, but she gives you a knowing look. something in her eyes, like she knows you have more to say, gets you to keep talking:
“they’re already losing badly, so why rub it in their face? because i know i can steal the ball and get an easy shot up?”
azzi is quiet for a minute, but finally replies, “i know what you mean, but it’s a different playing style here. we play fast, aggressive, and hard every game. these teams know what they’re up against, so you shouldn’t be afraid to play the way that got you here: smart, quick, and assertive.”
you nod at her words, the lump in your throat unwinding as she keeps talking in that soft, sweet voice. “i know you’re not as aggressive as some of us on the court, but you’ll learn, and you’ll get there,” azzi assures with a knowing smile, patting your knee reassuringly.
“right. i feel like i’m still trying to figure everything out,” you explain, but your voice is honest and not as heavy as it was before.
“and it’ll take time,” paige interjects, “but just know that sometimes the way you’d play isn’t always the way geno wants us to play.”
you nod, a small smile on your face as you slouch back in your chair. azzi catches your expression, eyebrows furrowed as she tries to get a read on you. you meet her eyes, and let out a small giggle at the random thoughts floating through your head. it’s stupid, and poorly timed, but paige’s words got you thinking about all the different playing styles here, specifically her playing style.
“what?” azzi asks, smiling too.
“we can’t all be hopkins paige,” you joke, and the blonde playfully scoffs at your words while azzi covers her mouth to stifle her laugh.
nobody gets the chance to say anything more because geno calls for you to sub back into the game. he gives you clear instructions on the sidelines, and you nod your head as you wait for the next whistle to take the court. as you take the floor, whispering with ashlynn, who you’re subbing in for, you can feel paige and azzi watching you. sinking into the rhythm of the game, you call for the ball. pump fake, shoot, easy money. you step back on defense, flicking your wrist subtly at the bench, who’s clapping and cheering for you, before getting back on defense.
“she’s more aggressive than she thinks,” paige mutters, sitting back down.
“you’ll bring it out of her,” azzi teases, nudging paige’s shoulder as they watch you on the court.
the beginning of the season continues, and you’re falling into your routines easily. you go to lift in the morning, grab a smoothie after with kk and jana, then head to class. after class you go back to the practice facility, where you usually find aubrey working on her homework. the two of you sit and grind for a little before you head to another class, followed by practice. as the weeks go on, you become more and more comfortable with your teammates, now viewing them as friends. they’re your shoulder to cry on when practice is tough, and the first people you laugh with when geno says something goofy.
“it’s easy. i’m really starting to feel comfortable here,” you tell the reporter with a big smile on your face at your first post-practice media session.
“what’s been the hardest adjustment so far?” they ask.
you pause, thinking for a moment. across the way, behind the sea of cameras and microphones, you spot paige and azzi, who are clearly recording you. your cheeks flush a little, and you clear your throat before answering, “i think adjusting to the pace of the game has been my biggest challenge. i wasn’t used to all this, but now i’m starting to figure it out.”
some of the reporters nod, smiling encouragingly at you, while others note your response. the room grows quiet all of a sudden, and the media rep standing off to the side asks if there are any further questions. immediately, a hand shoots up in the back of the crowd. it’s paige, her blue eyes sparkling with mischief as azzi focuses her camera on you.
“do you have any favorite teammates?” paige calls out.
you laugh before answering, “yeah. aubrey’s pretty good.”
a few of the reporters laugh and paige shakes her head before saying, “what about a favorite blonde?”
“definitely coach dailey,” you answer easily, a smirk on your face.
“she got jokes now,” paige teases, jabbing her thumb in your direction.
when you’re finally dismissed, you meet paige and azzi behind the sea of reporters. they’re rewatching the videos they took of you, and you easily slide in between the two of them.
“so, you think my jokes are funny?” you ask, making your presence known.
“i just think it’s funny how you’re ranking cd over me,” paige teases.
“but you’re my favorite fake blonde,” you reply, hiding behind azzi with a squeal as paige makes a move to hit you.
“you and aubrey are tight,” azzi says once the laughter between you and paige dies down, “so it makes sense for you to pick her.”
you throw your arms over their shoulders, pulling them in close as you smile widely. “don’t worry. we’re tight too,” you assure.
you miss the soft look in their eyes.
the next few weeks of games and practice go by in the blink of an eye. you barely remember what flavor smoothie nika makes for you each morning, a testament to your busy schedule. classes are also picking up, with content and workload, but you don’t mind too much. you know how to handle student-athlete life, and it feels much more manageable in college now that everyone on your team is following a similar routine. you’re so into your groove that you don’t expect things to change until they do.
you’re at practice, running a play with some of the starters. geno claims it’s because nika gets too many fouls, but aubrey is convinced it’s because you’re just that good of a player. you’re trailing a couple steps behind azzi, who is bringing the ball up the court, when you see her misstep. panic rushes through you as she lets out a pained sound, and you’re at her side before anyone else. she clutches at your jersey, and you call for paige before you even realize what you’re doing.
the blonde, who was located underneath the basket, comes running when she hears your panicked voice and sees azzi putting all her weight on you. somehow, you've managed to slip azzi’s left arm over your shoulders, allowing her to use your body as a support beam. by the time paige gets there, you’re already whispering soft reassurances.
“i’ve got you,” you whisper against azzi’s temple, “everything’s gonna be fine.”
paige takes her right arm, and azzi’s fingers dig into the blonde’s shoulder. “paige,” she chokes out, voice shaky from pain and held back tears.
“i’m here,” paige whispers repeatedly, leaning her head against azzi’s.
you feel like you're intruding. when the trainer finally arrives on the scene, you move to step away from the couple, but azzi doesn’t let you. she grips your practice jersey so tightly that she’s basically white-knuckling the fabric.
“don’t,” she grits out.
you look to paige for reassurance, but her blue eyes are shining with unshed tears and immense worry. you lick your lips, putting on a brave face as you nod your head.
“okay, i’m staying right here,” you agree as the trainer instructs you and paige to carry azzi over to the bench.
later that night, after practice and classes are long over, you text paige searching for an update. it takes her a while to respond, but when she does, it’s not with an update.
come over.
you hesitate. this feels like you’re crossing a line, treading into uncharted territory. that doesn’t deter you, however, from slipping on a hoodie and your slides, as you venture from your apartment to theirs. the entire walk over, you try to rationalize the situation. you’re azzi’s friend; you were there when she got hurt; it’d make sense that she would want to see you.
you knock once before jana opens the door. she doesn’t ask any questions, just directs you to the living room, where paige and azzi are sitting side by side on the couch. azzi has her leg up, resting across paige’s lap with a bag of ice taped to the kneecap. they’re watching a random show, but paige’s jaw is locked as her eyes are set on the tv. azzi is quiet, leaning her head against paige’s shoulder as she blinks rapidly.
“hey,” you whisper, settling on the arm rest of the couch.
“hey,” azzi whispers, voice hoarse.
“how are you feeling?” you ask softly, subconsciously rubbing soothing circles on her shoulder.
azzi shrugs, and paige answers for her, “they need to wait for the swelling to go down.”
you swallow, that cannot be good. “okay.”
“so it’s just a waiting game,” azzi adds sadly.
you don’t really know what to say in this situation, or what specifically is going to comfort her. instead, you wrap your arms around her shoulders, squeezing tightly. your chin rests on her head, and she reaches up a hand to squeeze your forearm.
“do you need anything? snacks? tea?” you ask softly.
“just you guys being here is enough,” she answers, squeezing your forearm and paige’s hand.
two days later the team touched down in minnesota for an away game. while paige should be excited about playing in her home state, with hundreds of supporters there, you can tell she is stressed. you’re sure it has to do with azzi’s lack of presence, but the blonde is suddenly attached at your hip. she sat behind you and kk on the plane, took the empty seat beside you on the bus, and is now standing across from you in the team circle at the hotel. one of the assistant coaches starts passing out keycards, and before you can make a move with ashlynn, your normal away games roommate, paige gestures between you and her.
“we’re rooming together,” she announces, leaving no room for argument.
“we are?” you ask, and kk snorts at how shocked you sound.
“yes,” paige says, trying to stay serious but the smile creeping onto her face is giving her away.
you don’t try to argue with her. instead, you climb into the elevator, duffle bag slung over your shoulder, as you journey up to your floor. it’s quiet between the two of you until paige unlocks the door with her key card. you step inside as she holds the door open, shrugging your bag off your shoulder before faceplanting into the mattress closest to the door.
“tired?” paige jokes, emptying her pockets on the tv stand.
“only a little. kk wouldn’t shut up on the flight,” you reply, resting your head in your palm so you can watch paige move around the room.
she takes a seat on the bed across from you, her hands rubbing up and down her thighs. she seems jittery, and you don’t really know how to comfort her. not the way azzi does at least, but you’re still determined to try.
“you okay?” you ask.
“fine,” she whispers, but her voice lacks confidence.
you give her a look, one that screams you don’t believe her, and paige cracks immediately.
“worried about azzi. i mean she should be here, and now i’m going into this game totally unfocused,” paige explains.
“and everyone is going to be here,” she continues, “my family, coaches, friends, even azzi’s grandparents are coming to watch.”
“paige,” you start, getting up from your bed to sit next to her. your hand rests on the middle of her back, rubbing soothing circles into her spine as she takes a deep breath.
“i’m fine,” she assures, “just pre-game nerves. i’ll sleep it off.”
“you sure, cause we can-” you start, but paige cuts you off with an easy smile.
“positive. you should shower or something first, since i dragged you into being my roommate,” paige says, gesturing towards the bathroom.
you laugh, hesitating, but paige has that look in her eye signaling that the conversation is over. so, you grab your pajamas and toiletries from your bag and head towards the bathroom.
the shower is nice. it’s exactly what you need to start your bedtime routine before brushing your teeth and doing your skincare. you lower your music, not wanting it blaring in your ear now that the showerhead is turned off, and open your toothpaste. you’re just about to floss when you hear paige talking softly on the phone. you don’t mean to be nosy, but she says your name and then laughs at something.
“well i asked her,” paige explains.
“did you ask or demand?” the person on the line answers, and you immediately recognize the voice as azzi’s.
they’re talking about you. you try to act normal, taking a deep breath to calm your racing heart as you start flossing.
“demand, ask, what’s the difference?” paige jokes.
“the difference is that we don’t want to scare her off,” azzi replies, voice serious.
“if she wasn’t scared of my minor breakdown earlier, then i think we’re in the clear,” paige answers, voice serious as you swish mouthwash around in your mouth.
azzi laughs, but then her voice quickly turns serious as she says, “i just like her a lot.”
“me too babe. it’ll be fine,” paige replies, but it sounds like she’s trying to convince herself, not azzi.
finally, you finish applying your moisturizer and step out of the bathroom. you throw paige a guilty smile, shoving your travel clothes and shower supplies back into your duffle bag.
“sorry! i did my entire nighttime routine so you could have full access to the bathroom,” you explain, zipping your duffle as you untuck the covers of your bed.
“all good. i’m just talking to azzi anyways,” she says, gesturing to the phone.
“hi azzi. sorry for stealing your roommate,” you say, a smirk on your face as you make eye contact with paige before continuing, “although i think she stole me.”
paige’s cheeks turn a little red as azzi laughs at your words. she says something, and you answer, but you can feel paige watching you. there’s a certain softness in her gaze that you pick up on when you turn her way and give her a goofy smile. paige relaxes, smiling back gently as she moves to end the call with azzi. you watch, slipping under the covers now, as paige pads around the room, gathering pajamas and her toiletries. before heading to the bathroom, she takes off her hoodie, showing a sliver of her toned back. you swallow, busying yourself with your phone and all the alarms you need to wake up. once paige is in the bathroom, you let out a soft exhale. you’re screwed.
while your feelings for paige and azzi are convoluted, none of that carries onto the court. paige ends up scoring twelve points with eight assists, three of which lead to your six points. the two of you click on the court. setting plays before the other one calls for the ball, or paige motions for you to come to her side. but, azzi’s absence is obvious, especially on the plane ride back.
“come over after,” paige whispers, slouching in the seat to get comfortable.
“won’t you be tired?” you ask, crossing your arms as you face her.
she shakes her head, “nah. plus, azzi wants to see you.”
you raise your eyebrows, “azzi wants to see me? or you’re clingy?” your tone is teasing, but paige’s smile turns shy and her cheeks flush just the tiniest bit as she sinks into her hoodie.
“maybe we both want to see you,” she mumbles.
you huff, resting your head against her shoulder as you whisper, “let me sleep on the flight and i’ll think about it.”
paige doesn’t disturb you the rest of the way home. the only time you wake up is when she’s shaking your shoulder because the plane landed. you take your time getting up, blinking and stretching like a cat in the sun. paige waits the entire time, and when you finally climb out of your seat, her hand hovers at the small of your back. on the runway, before boarding the bus, paige shoulders your duffle bag, ignoring all forms of protest from you. she snags a row in the middle, shoving both bags into the overhead before sitting down. you slide into the spot next to her without hesitation. again, your head rests on her shoulder, and paige pulls out her phone to snap a quick selfie.
you smile into the camera, holding up a peace sign, while she makes a duck face. you giggle, clicking the save button before she sends it to azzi. azzi answers within seconds, and while you know you shouldn’t be looking over paige’s shoulder, you see that azzi saved the photo in their chat. you don’t comment on it. instead, you try to ignore the fluttery feeling in your stomach as paige settles into her seat.
the bus ride from the airport to campus feels faster than usual. before you know it, you’re standing outside paige’s apartment as she unlocks the door. paige throws her duffle and backpack down on the ground, gesturing for you to do the same, as she walks further into the house.
“az?” paige calls, “you in here baby?”
azzi sits up on their couch, waving at the both of you. paige walks right up to her, kissing her cheek before sliding into the spot behind her. azzi settles in easily, leaning against paige’s chest as the two further exchange greetings. meanwhile, you stand awkwardly at the living room threshold. you feel like you’re intruding, but azzi is quick to tap the other spot next to her.
“how was rooming with paige?” she asks.
“ugh torture,” you tease, “she snores.”
paige scoffs, shoving your head forward with the arm slung around azzi’s shoulders. “you snore actually.”
you lift your hands up in surrender, “i’m not denying nor confirming that statement.”
azzi laughs, and you find yourself smiling back at her. it’s always easy with them. everything between the three of you feels natural. even the silence hanging in the room right now.
“how’s the knee?” paige asks, breaking the quiet.
azzi gulps before answering: “torn acl and a medial meniscus tear.”
you cringe, and azzi must see you as she replies, “yeah exactly.”
“sorry,” you apologize, for both your lack of filter and her situation.
“no it’s fine. this literally sucks,” azzi says, a sad look in her eyes.
“we’ll get through it,” paige promises, rubbing soothing circles on her girlfriend’s upper arm.
you nod in agreement. “yeah. it’s a good thing you're tough,” you say, quoting a bluey episode.
“did you just quote bluey to me?” azzi asks.
“you know where that’s from?” you reply, and she nods her head.
“pause,” paige interrupts, “why are either of you watching that show?”
“um next question,” you joke, and the older girls laugh.
“but seriously azzi,” you start, “we’re here, for whatever you need, and if anyone can come back from this, it’s you.”
by the time winter break rolls around, and you’re granted a few days off from practice and games, you can fully acknowledge your crush on your older teammates. all your desperate attempts to quell your racing heart and over analysis of every reaction between the three of you do absolutely nothing. the time apart from them, however, only makes you feel worse. you catch yourself texting azzi or laughing at the tiktoks paige sends in your group chat one too many times.
“this is ridiculous,” your best friend from home says when you finally sit down to tell her everything.
you bite your bottom lip, nervously fidgeting across from her in your childhood bedroom. “ridiculous how?” you ask.
she huffs, crossing her arms as she throws the phone down onto the mattress, “they’re obviously leading you on.”
“really? cause i feel like a delusional homewrecker,” you joke.
“they legit snapped you ‘we miss you’ with matching pouting faces. plus all these texts,” she deadpans, scrolling through the messages, “that’s flirting.”
“maybe but-” you start, only for her to cut you off.
“no maybes. they are flirting with you, and you have a crush on them. so when your ass gets back to that campus in the middle of bum-fuck nowhere, you’re gonna make a move,” she instructs.
you smile, laughing a little as you shake your head. “you think it’s a good idea?”
“a great one. plus the three of you together? insanely hot power throuple,” she replies, laughing as you shove her shoulder.
you come back from the break feeling revitalized. after spending time with family and friends at home, you know how you’re going to approach the paige and azzi situation. the perfect opportunity arises when the entire team decides to gather at kk and ice’s apartment on the first night back.
you greet everyone — giving out hugs and chatting about break — except paige and azzi. they’re missing from action even though aubrey and nika swear that they’re here. you shrug it off, vowing to talk to them later as you start drinking with some of the older girls.
you don’t know how much time’s gone by, but you’re definitely feeling all the alcohol. you’re laughing at something nika said, trying to defend yourself, before stepping away to one of the bedrooms. you swear you left something in your purse, on the bed, and you don’t think anything of barging into the room. you immediately regret that. paige and azzi are sitting on the bed, side by side, shoulders touching, while they kiss. the bedside lamp illuminates their faces perfectly, void of any frustrations or worry. the two of them seem perfectly happy making out while the rest of the team parties in the other room.
your mouth drops open, and you close your eyes and the door while you mumble an apology. you entire body feels hot, embarrassment coursing through your veins as you rush back into the living room. nika hands you another drink, and you quickly down it before taking the open seat next to aubrey. she gives you a concerned look, masked by a smile, but all you can do is shoot back a half-hearted one. paige and azzi have been here the whole time, wrapped up in each other, after you finally convinced yourself they were flirting with you. while they haven’t said anything outright, you feel played.
“you okay?” aubrey asks, quietly as to not draw attention.
“fine,” you answer, sipping on the beverage.
“you sure?” she replies.
you look at her before answering, “feelings suck.”
aubrey sucks her teeth, whispering how she’s sorry, but you shake it off, leaning your head on her shoulder.
“it was stupid anyway,” you explain, and it was.
trying to date paige bueckers and azzi fudd, your teammates and friends, who are already dating, is a stupid idea. there are too many people involved in all of your lives who would be impacted if things end badly. not to mention paige might be leaving this year, and a long distance relationship might not work. plus, hiding it from geno and the media could cause a major strain on everyone. it’s too much.
that’s what you’re thinking when paige and azzi finally come out of the bedroom and join the group. there are some jabs about what they were doing in there, and for how long, but you ignore them. instead, you look straight ahead, a blank stare on your face as you finish your drink. when there’s nothing left, you stand up abruptly, and stumble a little.
“woah dizzy,” you mutter, and paige, who happens to be standing near you, steadies you.
most people laugh, and you expect them to think it’s funny, but paige and azzi are giving you a weird look. one that you can’t decipher in your inebriated state. you do know, however, that paige is touching you, and your heart is fluttering while your skin feels like it’s on fire. you shrug her off, stepping around the blonde before announcing that you’re leaving.
“let us walk you back,” azzi offers.
“no thanks. i’m fine, really,” you say, smiling.
“you almost fell,” paige deadpans, crossing her arms.
“okay,” you concede, but when they move towards you, you yell, “aubrey’s gonna take me.”
aubrey, who absolutely was not going to take you, gives you a look. normally she’d argue back, but she sees the desperation in your gaze.
“please,” you say softly, and aubrey gets up from her spot.
relief floods your system. you grab your purse, checking to make sure it has everything, before calling out goodbyes. aubrey promises to be back once she gets you settled and you know that’s true. as the two of you stumble back to your apartment, there’s a tension hanging over you. aubrey saw the way you talked to paige. she knows something is going on there, and you know she won’t let it go.
when you get into the apartment, you toe off your shoes, and drop your bag on the kitchen counter. you putter around for a second, grabbing a blue gatorade from the fridge, before heading to your bedroom. aubrey follows, quietly watching as you grab your makeup remover and skincare.
“what was that about?” she asks.
“what was what about?” you reply, already wiping off the products at the bathroom sink.
“that thing with paige,” aubrey answers, and you know what she’s talking about.
“nothing,” you say.
“nothing?” she repeats.
“nothing because paige is with azzi, so why would i think they’d want me too?” you continue, tears of frustration welling up in your eyes.
aubrey looks confused, but also sympathetic. she whispers your name, all soft and sorry, but you hold a hand to stop her.
“don’t. it was stupid anyway. i’m just being stupid,” you say.
“you’re not,” she says.
you slam the makeup remover down on the counter, turning to fully face her, as you say, “then why did they spend all night making out in someone’s bedroom and not say anything to me until i was leaving? that’s not exactly how i’d treat someone i have feelings for.”
aubrey doesn’t say anything, so you take a deep breath and let it go. you wipe off the rest of your makeup, brush your teeth, and then strip down into your pajama shorts and tee shirt. aubrey helps you into bed, tucking you in. as she pulls the sheets up to your chin, you reach up and hug her really tight.
“you’re a great friend. sorry you had to deal with my bullshit,” you say.
“anytime,” she answers honestly, hugging you back.
once your head hits the pillow, it only takes a few minutes for your breathing to even out. aubrey leaves when she knows you’re settled, and when she gets back to the apartment where the team is, she’s on a mission.
aubrey doesn’t even need to search for paige and azzi because she finds them in the kitchen watching the door: azzi holding her crutches as she sits on a barstool, while paige leans on the counter beside her.
“she okay?” azzi asks, genuinely concerned.
“she’s fine, but she said something that kind of threw me,” aubrey explains, grabbing a water from the fridge.
giving them a dumb look, aubrey retells the story, “but that’s bizarre right? why would she think you’re flirting with her, when you’re both so obviously together?”
“aubrey,” paige starts, and azzi looks guiltily at her drink.
“no. don’t give me that paige. you two like her, fine. but the way you treated her tonight wasn’t fair, not when she knows you’re both dating,” aubrey rants.
“we’ll fix it,” azzi promises.
“you better,” aubrey agrees, walking away.
the next morning you wake up with a massive hangover. thankfully, you were smart enough to leave a gatorade on your nightstand. you take a couple sips before checking your phone. you’re even more surprised to find a text from paige in your groupchat with azzi.
can we talk?
you blink, the words barely registering in your foggy brain. taking a couple more sips of gatorade, you sit up in your bed, throwing your phone down on the mattress. you rub your eyes, padding over to the bathroom to brush your teeth and wash your face. when you come back to your room, the message is still sitting in your notifications. you hesitate but send a reply; as much as you want to play stupid, you remember everything from last night. catching them making out, paige’s hand on your skin, and crying to aubrey.
when azzi suggests meeting at the açaí place you like, in the back of downtown, you agree. if they don’t want a relationship with you, that’s fine. you can be mature and put your feelings aside for the sake of the team. at least that’s what you tell yourself on the walk over, repeating the phrases in your head like a mantra.
walking in, paige and azzi are already there. you give them a small smile before ordering with the older woman at the counter. as she’s making the bowl, she asks about your season, and you answer all her questions with an easygoing smile despite your inner turmoil. when you finally sit down, bowl in hand, the woman goes to the back, leaving the three of you alone.
it’s awkward. paige and azzi are watching you, like they know what they want to say, but are afraid to say it. you take a bite of your bowl before leaning back in your chair.
“how are you feeling?” azzi asks.
“exhausted,” you answer honestly, “but last night was fun, so worth it.”
azzi hums, nodding as she looks at paige. the blonde hasn’t stopped looking at you since you sat down. her eyebrows are furrowed, and she hasn’t even touched her acai bowl.
“so,” you start, “i’m guessing you want to talk about last night.” you pause, but when neither of them disagree, you continue, “i should’ve knocked on the door. that was totally on me, so i’m sorry if you felt like i invaded your privacy or anything along those lines.”
“that’s not it,” paige replies bluntly, leaning on the table.
“we realized last night that we’ve been leading you on,” azzi starts, and embarrassment floods your system.
this is where they reject me, you think.
“no, i’ve been making it weird,” you reply, but azzi shakes her head no.
“you haven’t,” she insists, and when you open your mouth to argue, paige cuts you off: “can you just shut up so we can ask you out?”
you blink, leaning back in the chair, while azzi gives her the nastiest look you’ve ever seen. paige remains unfazed, however, as her blue eyes stay fixated on you.
“we didn’t mean to hurt you the other night,” paige explains, “but we also don’t want to force you into something you don’t want. when you left, with aubrey, we just knew whatever’s going on between us,” and she gestures in a circle between the three of you, “needed to be aired out.”
“we really like you,” azzi whispers, “and we want you to be with us if that’s something you want too.”
you open and close your mouth a couple of times, scrambling for the right words to say in this situation. you want to be with, that’s not the issue. the problem is that you’ve never done this before. it’s always only been one person at a time for you, but now there are two beautiful women saying they want you as much as you want them. and you can’t figure out what to say.
“it’s okay if you need time,” azzi says softly, taking your stunned silence as hesitation.
“i don’t,” you answer quickly.
your eyes fall shut, and you take a deep breath in through your nose before answering, “i want to be with you guys. i’ve just never done this before.”
“we haven’t either,” azzi says, a nervous smile on her lips.
“but we want to try. with you,” paige whispers, her blue eyes flickering to you.
“okay,” you breathe, “then let’s try.”
paige smiles at you. not her shy and soft one, but a real genuine smile. she turns to azzi, but the brunette is already looking at you. there’s a softer look on her face as she reaches for your hand resting on the table. you intertwine your fingers with hers, and azzi gives it a soft squeeze. your heart stutters in your chest when paige looks at you the way she looks at azzi, like you hung the moon.

You’ve been together through failed exams, breakups, sleeping through alarms, and the best days ever. The both of you were so close to the point that you could bring one another home for family gatherings around the holidays.
This year there was another holiday you’d be spending together, but it wasn’t the kind you’d be spending with family.
December 13th is Adriana’s 24th birthday, which is a huge deal already and she swears it’d be even bigger if it were her golden birthday. Adri says her 13th birthday didn’t exactly “count” given that she was thirteen and didn’t know what Casamigos or Kinky shooters were yet.
This year, she wanted to go up. You didn’t entirely understand why she picked her 24th birthday to do this, but as her best friend you were supportive. Meaning: you helped her decide on a venue, outfit, hairstyle, makeup, the whole nine yards. The both of you had the mindset of “go big or go home.”
After all, you’d never turn down the opportunity to celebrate your best friend. You knew she had a long list of invitees including athletes, musicians, actors— anyone in the public eye that Adriana thought would be fun to party with.
You knew ahead of time that Dallas had a phenomenal clubbing scene and that a venue wouldn’t be hard to find. Ultimately, Adriana decided on Cobalt. You’d never been to this particular club before, but you also weren’t opposed. There was good food, good music, seating, and strippers (your favorite).
Adriana’s party is set to begin at 11:00 P.M. It’s 9:30 and the both of you are pre-gaming at your house while you get ready together. There’s music playing from your Bose speaker atop your dresser and the vibe is right. The playlist alone is transferring confidence to you. You sway along to it though you’re standing still as you beat your face in the bathroom.
You feel undeniably sexy in a dress that you know is way too short and way too tight by every societal standard you’ve heard whispered in passing, but you can’t say you care because you feel damn good. The dress hugs your body like it was made with you in mind, clinging to every inch of your curves. It catches the light in a way that makes you look like you’re glowing instead of standing underneath your ceiling fan.
There’s a candle lit that smells that nightlife vomited in your bedroom and the flame flickers faintly. Empty shot glasses are lined up like little trophies near the edge of your desk. There’s a half open bottle next to it accompanied by some cranberry juice.
You adjust your dress for a third time even if you know it won’t get any longer. You tilt your head, observing your frame at every angle. There’s a buzz you feel that’s not even from the alcohol.
You’re brought out of your thoughts by Adri calling your name, asking for your help with curling her hair. Her voice cuts through the base of the music. “Can you come here for a second? Me and this iron are about to fight and I’m going to lose.”
You laugh to yourself and drop your beauty blender on the counter top. You cross the threshold to the bedroom and are instantly released from the stuffiness of the bathroom, still warm with steam from your previous shower.
Adri’s waiting for you with a towel around her shoulders, hair half clipped-up and half falling down her back in long, dark waves.
The iron hums in her hand and she looks at you with that pitiful look in her eyes, asking for help wordlessly. “I swear, my arms are tired and I’m not even halfway done.”
You chuckle and take the iron from her. You hold your hand up to it just to check the heat. She sits at your vanity. You section through her hair like tradition, and the silky strands nearly slip through your fingers.
You begin to curl while Adri rambles. “I invited a few WNBA players.”
Humming, you respond. “Who? Anybody but Sophie Cunnigham, hopefully.”
Adri snorts and her reflection in the mirror rolls her eyes, “yeah, duh. A few of the Wings players. I’m really only close with their star rookie, but I thought "the more the merrier,” y’know?”
That sounds exactly like Adriana. She’d always been a socialite and extremely warm and welcoming which made her an excellent sports reporter. That’s part of the reason why she had the connections she did. She was charismatic and could get anyone to talk to her and feel comfortable. Honestly, you kinda think that if she wasn’t as extroverted as she was, the both of you wouldn’t be so close. It was like in college she decided she wanted to be friends with you and then never quit on the idea.
You’re not shy, but half as bold as Adri is even when sober. She could walk in knowing nobody and leave with a list of phone numbers.
You twist another curl free and let it fall against her shoulder, watching it bounce in the mirror.
“Maybe you’ll meet someone,” she tags on.
Instantaneously, you kiss your teeth. “Sure.”
Adri catches the tone immediately and raises her eyebrows. Her lips tug into a half-smile and you know she’s about to poke the bear.
You clamp the iron around another section, the quiet hiss filling the space for a second before you answer. “Who in their right mind goes looking for love in the club? I’m not stupid, Adri.”
“You say that, but every time we go out, someone tries to talk to you, and you just ignore them.” She counters. “You pretend you don’t notice.”
“I don’t pretend.” That’s a lie.
“Mmhmm,” she hums. Adri leans back a little and nudges your hip with her shoulder. “You’re a lost cause.
You laugh under your breath, but that’s not the only thing there. You know there’s truth in what Adriana is saying. The mirror catches your eyes for a split second, and you drop them before Adri can read them.
You let the curl drop, fingers lightly shaping as it cools. “It’s not that I don't want to meet someone,” you admit, quieter now. “I just don’t think it’s going to happen because some random night decided to be magical.”
Adri’s expression shifts, just a touch—less teasing, more thoughtful. “Sometimes random nights are exactly when things happen.”
You shrug, reaching for the next section of hair. “Or sometimes they’re just… nights.”
There’s a heavy silence between the two of you and you want to pinch yourself. It’s your best friend’s birthday and you’re being a Debby Downer.
Quickly, you lighten up your tone. “Besides, I just don’t have time for that. You know I’m trying to be the next Naomi Campbell.”
Adri bursts out laughing, the sound bright and immediate, like you flipped a switch. “Oh, please.”
“I’m serious,” you insist, lifting your chin like you’re already walking a runway. “I’ve got a schedule. Castings, fittings, dramatic slow-motion exits from rooms. Romance doesn’t fit into my brand.”
She adjusts slightly on the chair and eyes you up and down in the mirror. “I mean,” she says, dragging out the words, “you already have the legs for it.”
You giggle, nearly dropping the curling iron.
After helping Adri zip up the back of her dress and giving yourself a once over in the mirror, the both of you are ready to leave. You look like someone straight out of a music video and sent to bless reality with fantasy.
Her boyfriend, Ismael, is the DD for the night and the both of you secluded him to the living room for the entire time that the both of you got ready. He scrolled dutifully through his phone while waiting for the two of you. You can hear the low murmur of the TV through the door, some late-night sports recap that he’s half-watching.
Adriana swings your bedroom door open for her grand entrance.
“We’re done!” She announces, already halfway down the hall.
She struts over to Ismael and practically launches her at him, arms wrapping around his neck as he laughs and catches her without missing a beat. Her heels lift off of the floor for a second as she clings to him, dress riding up a touch in the process.
“Miss me?” She asks, slightly too loud.
“It’s been, like. forty minutes,” he says, grinning anyway.
You lean against the doorframe, watching them with an amused smile. It's safe to say the alcohol has already started to hit her—she’s all over him, swaying slightly where she stands, forehead pressed to his as she talks animatedly about how “this is going to be the best birthday ever.”
Ismael glances at you over her shoulder, eyes saying help me even though he’s clearly enjoying every second of it.
“You good to drive?” you ask, grabbing your jacket off the hook.
“Yeah,” he laughs. “I signed up for this. You have to let a baddie be a baddie.”
Adri finally pulls back just enough to point at you dramatically. "Don't let her fool you. She's the wild one tonight.”
You snort, stepping closer. “In your dreams.”
The three of you head out together, the front door clicking shut behind you as the night wraps around your shoulders.
You slide into the back, the seat cool against your legs as you shut the door. The bass from whatever Adri queues up immediately fills the car, low and thumping, making the windows vibrate just a little. Ismael pulls away from the curb, headlights cutting through the quiet street as houses blur past in soft, dark shapes.
The car rolls to a stop outside the club, bass already bleeding through the walls and into the sidewalk like a second heartbeat. Neon signage hums overhead, casting everything in pinks and blues that make the night feel unreal, like you’ve stepped into a scene instead of a place.
You glance down at the mini Rolex on your wrist—11:15. fifteen minutes late. at least you’re fashionably late.
Ismael hops out first, jogs around the car, and opens Adri’s door with a little bow that makes her laugh as she takes his hand and steps out. You slide out of the back, heels clicking against the pavement, the cool night air brushing over bare skin and sending a small shiver up your spine.
Your dress has ridden up again during the drive, clinging high on your thighs. You tug at it out of habit, then stop. This time, you let it settle exactly where it wants to be.
Adri immediately finds your side, arm looping through yours like it belongs there, and starts dragging you toward the entrance before you can even take in the crowd. The line is already a mess of glittering outfits, cigarette smoke, and laughter, people leaning into each other under the glow of the marquee.
The bouncers spot her before you’re even close.
“Birthday girl!” one of them calls out, grinning wide. “Happy birthday, Adri.”
She beams, soaking it up, blowing them a kiss like she’s walking a red carpet instead of stepping up to a velvet rope. “Thank you, thank you. Love you guys.”
Their eyes flick to you, quick but curious, and one of them nods in recognition. “Good to see you again.”
Adri squeezes your arm triumphantly as they lift the rope and wave you both through. The door swings open, and a wall of sound and light crashes over you—strobe flashes, bodies moving in sync, the air thick with perfume, sweat, and anticipation.
You and Adri are met by a wall of sound the second you step fully inside—screams of celebration cutting through the music, hands already reaching for her, voices overlapping.
“Happy birthday, Adriana!"
She gasps dramatically, clutching her chest like she’s overwhelmed, then immediately starts laughing, spinning in place as people swarm her. Hugs come from every direction, kisses to her cheeks, someone shoving a drink into her hand before she can even process what’s happening.
You hang back just half a step, letting the moment belong to her, watching her glow under the flashing lights. The club is a blur of movement. The bass vibrates up through the floor and into your legs.
“This is insane,” Adri yells over her shoulder to you, eyes bright, hair already starting to frizz at the edges from the heat of the crowd. She grabs your wrist and pulls you back into her orbit. “See? Best birthday ever.”
Your eyes settle on the strippers, each one a study in allure. One of them spins low on a polished pole, her back arched, muscles taut as she twists, long curly hair fanning out like a shadowy halo. The sequins on her outfit catch the strobe lights, glittering with every sharp movement.
Another hooks a leg over the pole, flipping upside down effortlessly, toes pointed, abs flexing with precision. Her heels scrape the pole just enough to make the small metallic clink audible over the music. Her neon outfit glows under the UV lights, bright pink against her skin, almost blinding in its intensity.
On the other side, a third dancer moves slower, more fluid, swaying her hips. Her hair is platinum blonde, tumbling down past her shoulders, and she leans back against the pole, head thrown, giving the crowd a smile that’s equal parts tease and command.
The sensuality is hypnotic, and you can’t help but watch a moment longer than you thought you would.
You clear your throat as Adri pulls you in deeper. Ismael lingers for both of your safety. Adri’s waving at people left and right, accepting hugs, and directing gifts to a table on the north wall of Cobalt.
At this moment, all you can think is: you’re still too sober.
“Adri— bar!”
She freezes mid-laugh, head tilting toward you, eyes sparkling with mischief. “The bar?” She echoes, clearly amused, like the idea of stopping for a second is laughable.
“Yes, the bar!” you insist, tugging gently on her arm. “I need a drink.”
She lets out a dramatic sigh, rolling her eyes in that exaggerated way that somehow still looks playful. “Fine,” she concedes, looping her arm through yours again.
You and Adri finally shoulder through the crowd toward the bar, elbows brushing strangers, heels clicking against the sticky floor, and just as you think you might finally get a drink, she stops dead in her tracks.
“Oh my God—Paige Bueckers!” Adri gasps, eyes lighting up like a kid who just spotted their favorite celebrity in the wild. She's practically vibrating with excitement, dragging you forward before you can even brace yourself.
“Oh! You have to meet her!” Adri announces, practically dragging you along, tugging you toward Paige with all the subtlety of a fire alarm. You catch a glimpse of Paige, relaxed and smiling, effortlessly aware of the energy around her, and immediately feel your irritation flare.
Paige’s wearing a red and white sweater cut in the style of a muscle tee, showing off her muscles. You feel your mouth dry up at the sight. Her hair is curled lightly and a pair of tan pants rest on her hips. She’s dressed in the perfect mix of masculine and feminine and her cologne wafts in front of your face. She’s tall and rocks confidence like a cloak of armor so easily.
She’s… sexy.
Adri is too drunk, too excited, to notice your expression. she thrusts your hand toward Paige. “This is my best friend—she’s amazing, you’ll love her!”
You plaster on a polite smile, but Paige catches the tiny edge in your eyes and can’t help but chuckle softly to herself. It's subtle, almost hidden behind a quick glance, but it makes you feel instantly smaller.
Paige leans in to give Adri a side hug, perfectly casual. “Happy birthday, Adri,” she says, her voice smooth, warm, and easy. Then she daps up Ismael with one hand, acknowledging him with that effortless confidence she has.
Paige’s piercing blue eyes never leave yours as their hands meet. You’re caught off guard, but also refuse to back down, so you hold eye contact. Her head is tilted and catches the strobe lights. She looks down at you with a slight smirk, her bottom lip caught between your teeth.
You then hold your hand out and introduce yourself.
She grips your hand firmly, “Paige.”
There’s a flash of amusement in her eye before she tilts her head back to glance at Adri. “Don’t party too hard, Adri.”
Adri freezes mid-laugh, glancing over her shoulder, clearly caught off guard by the tone. “Oh, I know how to pace myself,” she says, grinning, trying to match Paige's cool composure but failing to hide the excitement that’s still bubbling through her.
You stand slightly to the side, hand still in Paige's, watching the subtle interplay.
Finally, you pull your hand away from hers, letting your nails graze Paige’s palm, sending shocks up her spine.
Adri, blissfully unaware of the tension simmering in that small exchange, continues chatting, eyes flicking rapidly between you and Paige. “you know my bestie, though, right?” she says, voice bubbly, oblivious to the undercurrent.
Paige nods, eyes narrowing. “I’ve seen her on an Instagram story or two of yours.” She nods like she’s filing that bit of information away.
Adri claps her hands together, delighted. “See? I told you! She's cool. Totally cool.”
You shift, still looking Paige over.
“You should buy her a drink!” Adri chimes, nudging Paige.
Your face drops, a mix of disbelief and panic, “no, no, no, she doesn’t need to do that. I can buy for myself.” Your pulse quickens with the feeling of being put on the spot.
Paige chuckles softly, that smirk tugging at her lips again, clearly amused by your reaction. “I’m not opposed to a drink,” she says smoothly, eyes flicking back to yours for just a second longer.
You shake your head. “I’m good, thanks.” Your eyes fall to the ground. Suddenly everything else is more interesting.
Paige nods, letting your denial roll off her shoulders. “It’s your night Adri— live it up!” Her voice is light and playful. She glances briefly at you before squeezing Adri’s shoulder and diving into the crowd.
You watch her leave as Adri is pulled into the embrace of more people and begin your trek toward the bar alone.
You’ve had 3 drinks now and you’re feeling it.
The bass thumps through your chest in a steady rhythm that matches the quickening pulse in your veins, your skin prickling with warmth and energy.
Your movements are looser now, less precise—heels clicking a little less sharply, shoulders dropping, a small sway in your hips as you navigate through the crowd.
You and Adri are nearly falling all over one another when the clock strikes midnight and it’s time to sing Happy Birthday and cut the huge cake that she had catered.
It’s a showstopper—three tiers, dripping in glossy chocolate ganache, with glittering candles scattered across the top like tiny stars. The crowd is buzzing, people pressing in for photos, their phones capturing the moment.
Everyone’s gathered around the cake and you just so happen to notice Paige standing directly across from you. Your eyes catch again. She’s standing next to JJ— another Wings player you’d been introduced to.
“Everyone, sing!” Adri shouts over the crowd, voice cracking with excitement. The room erupts, voices overlapping in harmony. You lift your glass, watching as Paige does the same and gives a slight nod.
Adri clutches the knife and digs in, exposing the many layers of the cake. She cuts her own slice and you dip your finger into the icing before swiping it against her nose.
“Hey!” She squeals before getting you back.
By 2:00, the both of you are out of it and long gone. You’re stumbling on air. Everything feels fuzzy and weird.
Adri and Ismael are clearly busy and have been grinding in the corner for the last half hour.
You grimace and keep your head turned to avoid looking.
The club’s started to clear out and the hype is dying down. You’ve taken your last sip and alcohol and the staff is getting ready to clean up.
You sink into a nearby barstool to collect yourself. The air is warm, sticky, scented with perfume, spilled liquor, and faint chocolate from the cake earlier. You take a deep, unsteady breath.
Your head rests against the counter as your eyes flicker.
Adri stumbles over with Ismael at her side. She’s extremely loud in your ear, though she thinks she’s quiet. “Ismael and I want to go back to his place,” she says to you.
You glance up at her, urging her to continue.
“And well… you don’t want to be around for that. But, I can have Paige drop you off at home. I trust her,” Adri affirms.
You blink at her, half amused, half exasperated, trying to process the rapid-fire logic of your best friend.
“You’re leaving me with her?” You ask, voice a little shaky—not entirely from the drinks.
Adri throws an arm around your shoulders, leaning into you. “Yes! She's perfect. competent. trustworthy. probably will even let you sleep on the way home. Now c’mon, let’s go find her.”
You groan, but a small part of you is oddly curious—and maybe a little apprehensive.
Lugging your weight feels unbearable, but you do it anyway as Adri leads you to Paige, who’s stacking plastic cups to be thrown away.
“Paige! I need you to take Y/N home.” Adri yells, pitching her voice loud enough to cut through the thump of the fading music. She wobbles slightly as she gestures at you, and you stumble on your own feet, letting her steady you with an arm around your shoulders.
Paige glances up, a small look of mild annoyance on her face. She straightens and set the stack of cups aside. Her face holds a small, amused smirk tugs at the corner of her lips as she assesses you—stumbling slightly, cheeks flushed, hair a little mussed from the night.
With the way she’s looking, you’re expecting her to say no, but she doesn’t.
She exhales through her nose, a quiet, almost fond sound, and nods once. “Yeah,” she says simply. “I’ve got her.”
You groan softly, leaning against Adri’s side for support, feeling both relieved and apprehensive. Paige chuckles again, that smirk lingering, eyes flicking briefly back to you.
Adri cheers like she just won something, clapping her hands together before throwing her arms around Paige in a sloppy hug. “I knew I liked you,” she declares, planting a dramatic kiss in the air near Paige's cheek before Ismael gently pulls her back.
Paige laughs, steadying herself, then turns back to you. Her voice drops a little, lower than it was before, meant just for you. “You good to walk, or am I carrying you out of here?”
You straighten instinctively, pride kicking in despite the haze. “I can walk,” you say, even if the floor still feels like it’s moving.
She raises a brow, unconvinced but entertained. “Uh-huh. we’ll see.”
You tip toe over random bottles, straws, and discarded wristbands all over the floor. You’re swaying lightly, holding your arms out to help you find your balance.
You step and your heel clips a green glass bottle. It skitters instead of staying put, rolling just enough to steal your balance. Your stomach drops as your foot slips, the world tilting sharply to one side, and a startled sound leaves your throat as you start to go down.
Before you can fully tumble, a hand catches your arm—firm, steady. Paige steps in close, her other hand bracing your back as she pulls you upright.
Your face burns in embarrassment and you clear your throat. “Sorry.”
You risk a glance up at her. She's smiling—not the smirk from earlier, but something easier, lighter. It takes a little of the sting out of your embarrassment.
“You okay now?” She asks, easing her grip but keeping close enough to catch you if you wobble again.
You straighten, testing your balance. “Yeah.”
“M,” she hums, unconvinced, then offers her arm anyway. “Humor me.”
You hesitate for half a second before looping your fingers around her sleeve. The simple contact feels steadier than the ground beneath your heels.
Paige guides you toward the exit and holds the door open for you. The both of you pause for a second as she digs into her pocket and pulls out a key fob. She hits a button twice and you hear an engine roar to life across the way.
“That’s me,” she says, jerking her chin toward it.
You squint, trying to focus on the shape of the car through the blur of streetlights and leftover adrenaline. "Of course it is,” you mumble.
Paige keeps a hand at your elbow as you walk, not gripping, just there—steady, grounding. gravel crunches under your shoes. Your balance wobbles once, and she adjusts without making a thing of it, matching your step like it’s second nature.
When you reach the car, she opens the passenger door for you. The interior light flicks on, soft and amber, and you pause, staring at it like it’s a puzzle.
“Go on,” she says gently. “it don’t bite.”
You climb in, a little clumsy, and she closes the door after you with a careful thud. A second later, she’s in the driver’s seat, engine purring instead of roaring now.
You buckle your seatbelt and fall back against the seat, your eyelids suddenly heavy.
Paige notices.
She leans forward, fingers brushing the dial, and twists it the other way. The car hum shifts, air warming as it spills from the vents instead of biting cold. She glances over, just for a second, to make sure you’re okay.
“Don't fall asleep on me yet,” she murmurs, half-teasing, half-gentle.
You nod passively. Your feet ache and you lean down to unbuckle them. You kick them off onto the floor, stretching your feet afterward.
Paige glances over at you and then offers you an unopened water bottle resting in the cup holder. “Drink. You've had a night.”
You glance over at her, and take the bottle. You snatch it from her and slowly twist the cap off as your eyes zero in on her jawline. It catches the streetlights, and most of her makeup has basically disappeared from her face, but she still looks amazing.
Slight ministrations cause her muscles to flex.
Paige feels it—your attention, the weight of your stare. She clears her throat and adjusts her grip on the wheel, knuckles whitening for a second before she relaxes again.
“You okay over there?” She asks, voice low, almost amused.
You take a slow sip of water, buying yourself time, the corner of your mouth lifting as you nod. “Yeah,” you say, still watching her. “Just enjoying the ride.”
You’re starting to sober up a bit and rub your eyes. You’re no longer slumped in the seat and feel more aware.
You rub your eyes, blinking slowly as the fog from the alcohol begins to lift. The weight slumping your shoulders eases, and you sit up straighter, feeling the car’s seat beneath you in a way you hadn’t noticed before.
You clear your throat, finally breaking the quiet that’s settled over the car. “I heard you were rookie of the year… congratulations,” you say, voice a little soft but sincere, the words feeling heavier than you expect in the stillness.
Paige glances at you from the corner of her eye, a small, almost amused smile tugging at her lips. “Thanks,” she says, voice low, easy, like she’s trying to play it casual—but there’s pride tucked into the single word.
She flicks a glance back to the road for a second, then her eyes meet yours again. “It’s been… a wild first season. but yeah, rookie of the year.” There's a faint laugh, quiet but warm, like she’s still processing it herself.
“No doubt you deserve it though, right?” You blink, hesitating slightly, trying to find the words. “You seem… responsible,” You don’t know a lot about Paige, but you do mean what you say.
Paige glances at you, eyes narrowing just a fraction as if she’s analyzing not just your words but your tone, your intent. “Something like that.”
Eventually, the familiar shape of your house comes into view, the streetlight casting long, soft shadows across the driveway. The engine hum quiets as Paige eases the car to a stop, the tires crunching lightly on the gravel.
She glances over at you, that same small smirk lingering, hands still steady on the wheel. “Home sweet home,” she says, voice casual but carrying that subtle amusement that’s threaded through the night.
Paige reaches over, unclipping your seatbelt. “Need a hand getting out?” she asks, her tone light, casual—a careful attentiveness that keeps you from moving too fast or too clumsily.
You take a steadying breath, nodding. “Yes, please.”
Paige rounds the truck and comes over to your side, flinging the door open.
“Here we go,” she says, voice low, carrying just a hint of that teasing edge you’ve noticed all night. She leans slightly, one hand brushing the roof of the truck for balance as she waits for you to move.
You pause for a fraction of a second, heart still a little fluttery from the night’s lingering buzz. You shift, gripping the edge of the seat for support. Her eyes meet yours, steady and unflinching, as if silently promising she’s got you.
“Come on,” she reaches for her hand. “Watch your step.”
And with that, you carefully swing your legs out, letting her guide you onto solid ground.
The both of you walk up the walkway, her hand on the small of your back. When you reach the door, you tug open your clutch with shaky hands and dig out the key to your front door.
Paige watches silently, her presence just behind you, steady and patient, giving you the space you need without letting go of the quiet support her hand provides. You slip the key into the lock, twisting it with a soft click.
“Here we go,” you murmur, sliding the door open, and she steps close, letting you move past her first but staying within reach, hand lingering just enough to guide you safely inside.
You throw your clutch onto the table in your mudroom, a soft thud filling the space. You turn back to Paige as she stands just outside of the threshold. She watches you wordlessly, but you know she’s been watching nonetheless. You feel the weight of her gaze, steady and attentive like she’s cataloging each one of your details.
Your heels dangle at her right side, but she seems to have forgotten about them.
“Paige…” you start softly, your voice breaking the silence, but the sound catches in your throat as her striking blue eyes meet yours. There's curiosity, and a hint of something else.
You take a slow step closer, and she shifts slightly, just enough to mirror you, heels in hand forgotten, letting the moment stretch between you in a way that’s both thrilling and terrifying.
You tilt your head slightly, a small smirk tugging at your lips as you break the silence. “do you want the house tour?” you ask, voice light, teasing—but carrying just enough edge to make her raise an eyebrow.
Paige blinks, just for a fraction, before that smirk returns, slow and knowing. “House tour, huh?” she repeats.
You shrug, playful, leaning against the doorway. “I mean, you’re already standing in it… might as well see the rest, right?”
You back away from the door, letting Paige step in. She sets your heels down on the table with your clutch and lets the door shut behind herself.
Without overthinking it, you reach for Paige's hand, your fingers threading through hers. You tug gently, guiding her through the foyer.
Her steps follow yours, smooth and deliberate, matching your pace as you lead her into the living room. The lights are soft, the familiar warmth of your home wrapping around you both. The quiet is almost dizzying— every brush of skin, every glance exchanged.
Paige lets herself be pulled, hand still in yours, but her posture is relaxed, shoulders down, a smirk tugging at her lips like she’s already amused by your sudden boldness.
“And here we are,” you say softly, letting go of her hand just enough to gesture around the room, though your pulse still hums from the contact. “Welcome to the heart of the operation.”
Her eyes sweep over the living room, lingering on you just as long as they do on the space. “Not bad,” she murmurs, the tone quiet, almost approving, before letting that playful spark peek through. “Do you host a lot?”
You shake your head, “no, I’m picky about the people I have over. I like my space.”
She smiles, “so I’m special, then?” Paige reaches up, clutching her heart through her sweater.
You tilt your head, catching the playfulness in her voice. “maybe,” you reply, voice low, teasing just enough to match her energy. “you’ll have to earn your invite next time.”
Moving on, you tug her through different areas of the house. You take her through the kitchen, dining room, laundry room, and office before standing at the bottom of the stairs together.
“Last stop,” you announce with a grin, bouncing lightly on the balls of your feet. You leap up the first few steps easily, then continue bounding upward, letting her follow at her own pace.
Paige laughs softly behind you.
You guide her to your bedroom. Some clothes from earlier linger and you can still smell the candle you lit. You belly flop onto the bed, watching as Paige walks around the room, looking at various pieces of decor.
You watch her, noting the way her posture relaxes in the space, how she leans slightly to read a framed quote or tilts her head at a piece of art.
When she finishes her slow circuit of the room, you pat the open spot next to where you’re sprawled on the bed.
“Come on,” you murmur, voice soft but inviting. “Plop down. Make yourself comfortable.”
The mattress dips slightly under her weight and you look her over. “Did you enjoy the tour?”
Paige’s eyes dart toward your lips, nodding. “Yeah, you keep a nice place.” She’s distracted by the way your tits nearly spill out of your dress and you look at her with determination and hunger all in one.
You hum, “ready to go home, then?” You’re only teasing, but you want to know what she’ll say.
She grimaces in denial. “When you invited me in, I was hoping I would get laid. But you know that already.”
You crawl to your knees and wrap your arms around her neck, giggling. “Right.”
“And what…?” She trails off, pulling back to look you in the eye. “You want me to put you through this mattress?”
Her hands move to rest on your hips, kneading the skin as she pulls you close.
You nod slyly, your face inching closer and closer to hers.
Your lips hover near hers, just inches apart, and you can feel the heat of her skin, the slight tremor of anticipation in the way she’s holding you. Her breath brushes against your face, faintly sweet, making your pulse thrum harder.
You tilt your head slightly, daring the moment to go further, but just as your lips are about to meet, she pulls back ever so slightly. The movement is slow, teasing, deliberate—a soft smirk playing on her lips as her eyes glint with mischief.
“Not yet,” she murmurs, voice low and playful, letting the tension hang thick in the air.
Paige takes your hand in her large one and settles it between her legs; directly on her crotch. She forces you to palm her strap, feeling its length and girth through her khakis. It’s at least six inches and thick just how you like it.
“If you want that,” Paige continues. “You’re going to have to earn it. Show me you can take it.”
You nod eagerly and inch even closer to Paige like you have to be buried in her skin.
Eagerly, she takes your lips into her, hands wrapping around your neck as she pulls you close.
You gasp softly against her mouth before melting into it and straddling her lap. She tilts her head, angling the kiss deeper, and the air between you is thick with heat and tension, every movement deliberate, consuming.
Her saliva covers your lips as you lean into her. She tastes like cherry chapstick and mint, sweet but subtle and delightful. Her hands grope at your ass, the meat exposed after your dress rose all the way up. It rests at your waist now, perfectly out of the way.
She mutters into the kiss, “couldn’t stop looking at you all night, and then I got to watch you go up the stairs in this tiny ass dress.”
You swallow her moans, breathing heavily as you pull at the hairs at the nape of her neck.
“Been waiting to rip this shit off you,” she finishes. Your tongues swipe against one another and you swear you’re drunk again off of the moment alone.
She drags you down, forcing you to grind on her lap and you cry out as you feel the pressure of her strap brushing against your clit through your thong.
There’s a wet patch on her pants from where you’ve been grinding.
You break the kiss just long enough to trail your lips down to the side of Paige’s neck, teeth grazing softly at first before pressing in with more intent. Your lips move against the warm, sensitive skin, sucking and nipping in a slow, deliberate rhythm.
The soft pressure of your mouth, combined with the teasing pull of your lips, leaves a mark—a deep, dark hickey blooming across the pale curve of her neck. Paige lets out a low, involuntary moan, her hands tightening in your hair as your lips move in tandem with the teasing bites of your teeth. “Oh, fuck me.”
“‘M trying,” you giggle.
She captures your lips into another kiss and begins to play with the strings of your underwear, tugging at them. She pulls one back and releases it, letting it snap against your skin. You yelp at the sensation.
Her hands are relentless, exploring boldly, tugging, kneading, and pulling just enough to keep you on edge.
Paige taps your thigh, signaling you to lighten up a bit so she can pull your panties down your model-esque physique.
You oblige and she tugs them down, a web of your slick snapping as she pulls them further and further.
“You’re so wet,” she whispers into your ear. “All that for me? I got that pussy pleadin’?”
“You talk too much,” you bite, nearly growling. You didn’t enjoy being teased.
“Shut the fuck up,” Paige grits. She takes your jaw between her fingertips and forces you to look her death in the eye. “You’re gonna take what I give you, understood?”
You swallow your words and refuse to answer. Paige’s nostrils flare, but she takes it to the chin. She reaches down between your legs and her thumb begins to circle your clit at an agonizingly slow pace.
The pleasure begins to bubble in your stomach, but you refuse to give her the satisfaction of knowing you were putty in her hands. You bit your tongue, the only way you could keep your moans inside.
“It’s okay, you don’t gotta say nothing. I already know you want me.” Paige brags.
Swiftly, she flips the both of you over so that you’re pinned below her. You’re caged in by her buff arms and her body weight on your lower half.
Her thumb is still prodding her clit, eyes searching your face for any sign of a reaction. When she doesn’t get one, she stops.
You don’t whine at the loss of stimulation, but you are disappointed.
Paige drops to her knees and yanks you to the edge of the bed so that your legs hang off of it. Then, she hoists your legs onto her shoulder. Paige places slow, wet kisses up your right leg. Each press of her mouth is warm and slick, her tongue occasionally flicking out to taste you, sending shivers crawling up your spine.
You let out soft, uneven breaths, your fingers tangling in her hair, urging her closer while your knees press together instinctively.
Your pussy smells sweet from where she is and she forces your legs open with both hands, dragging her kisses up even further. She blows on your clit, the sensation causes you to writhe.
“Such a pretty pussy,” she chimes, smelling your sweet nectar. Paige kisses gingerly just above your clit, letting the warmth settle before her tongue darts out to like under the hood.
You swallow a strangled moan and let out a deep breath you didn’t even know you were holding. Paige keeps her tongue steady, swiping against your clit waggishly. She flattens it, dragging it across your sex.
You grip her hair and your toes curl behind her shoulders. You don’t want to break, but you know you will.
Paige pulls away, gathering her saliva in her mouth before spitting it out onto your slit and sucking it back up. She hollows her cheeks, forming a vacuum.
Paige sucks at your clit relentlessly before releasing what is now a mix of her spit and your juices before repeating her process.
The pleasure is too great and your chest is starting to heave. You push at her head, but there’s not really anywhere you can run. Paige thought ahead when she pulled you to the end of the bed. “Unt-un,” she grits. “Take that shit.”
Your skin prickles with goosebumps and sweating settles in your neck. You begins to rock your hips against Paige’s face and finally moan out, giving in. Your voice is raspy as you cream all over her face, the rope in your stomach finally snapping.
“Fuck!” You cry, shoving her deeper, if even possible.
Though you’ve already cum, Paige doesn’t stop. She licks tight circles on your button, overstimulating you. All you can do is writhe as your face screws tight and Paige demands another orgasm from you.
Tears well in your eyes and you start to whimper, another coil in your gut forming. “Yeah,” Paige coaxes. “You got it, pretty, give it to me.”
You cum again, back arching against the mattress. You’re loud, and so loud you’re pretty sure the neighbors know exactly what’s going on.
Paige finally pulls away, her face coated in your juices and a proud smile on her lips. She kisses behind your knee once more before rising slowly.
You catch your breath and lean back on your elbows, watching as Paige gives you a show.
She peels off her sweater, revealing a white Nike sports bra. The heat in your chest spikes, heart hammering. Her muscles flex just like in the truck, and you really wished in that moment that she’d manhandle you.
Paige watches you, almost like she’s making up what she wants to do.
You sit up all the way once you’ve caught your breath. Feeling boldly, you stick your fingers into her waistband. It’s guarded by a belt, and you glance up at Paige. “Can I have it?”
Paige nods with a heavy smirk. You loosen the brooch of her belt, tugging the end through it. You pull it all the way through the loops on her pants and throw it across the room. Your fingers fumble with the button of the khakis, your knuckles even swiping against the skin of her lower stomach.
Paige’s index and thumb finger rub your jaw while her eyes hold a fond look.
You maintain eye contact while yanking her pants down, letting them pool at her ankles. She steps out of them and Paige’s strap hits her lower stomach.
It’s purple. “Cute,” you say.
Paige rolls her eyes and pushes you by your shoulder and back down onto the bed.
Paige settles between your legs, catching the hem of your dress and dragging it up your body. It comes off over your head and she tosses it behind you. Skipping your lips, Paige kisses down your chest, swirling a bud between her lips. Her free hand tweaks the neglected nipple.
She continues kissing down, leaving a hickey on your sternum. Each kiss is wet and decisive; she knows her end goal.
Quickly, Paige grabs your ankles and hikes your legs over her shoulders again. “Thinkin’ I wanna see your pretty face while I’m in this pretty pussy.”
You nod, “take your shot.”
Paige kisses you again, tugging your curls, causing you to moan into her mouth.
Paige slides the tip of the strap between your folds, getting it wet for you. You shiver at the sensation, your cream now cool against your skin.
She pulls you closer, pressing her body fully against yours, letting the intensity of the kiss speak the words her voice doesn’t. When you least expect it, Paige thrusts in and you moan as she bottoms out. The tip of her strap hits for g-spot easily and she doesn’t even give you time to adjust as she starts moving.
Paige's hips snap back and forth, barely giving you time to breath. “You feel me right there? In your guts?”
You wail, rocking your hips against Paige’s. A squelching sound reverberated through the room, Paige’s assault on your pussy relentless. “Feels so good, P.”
Fireworks exploded at each stroke. You’d never felt anything like this before and you’d be lying if you said Paige wasn’t the best you ever had. Your hand rests on Paige’s chest, fingers slipping under her sports bra. You shove it up, exposing her breasts. Her nipples pebble both from arousal and the coolness in the air.
You knead them in your hands like dough, pinching each nipple. Paige lets out a strangled moan, her hips stuttering,
You throw your head back, “you’re so deep, oh my—”
Paige temporarily slows her strokes as she digs you out, concentrating on actually seeing her in your stomach. Your cries went up in frequency as a tingly sensation formed in your stomach.
Paige’s abs flexed as she kept her core engaged. You glanced down at where the both of you met. White, sticky cream formed webs where her groin snapped against yours. Your essence slips out of you, dripping onto the mattress. “Aw, baby,” Paige coos. “You’re making a mess all over the bed— all on my dick.”
Your thighs shook violently, each moment becoming messier and wetter.
You lean up just enough to take Paige’s nipple into your mouth. You sucked all while hearing a shaky breath escape Paige and feeling your own orgasm approaching.
“You’re digging me out so good,” you cry out, “fuck, Paige!”
Paige reaches down, thumb prodding your clit once more. You clench around her strap, chasing relief.
“Kiss me,” you demand, pulling Paige into you. You bite down on her lip, forcing her mouth open as you dive into another kiss. Your tongues clash and spit strings hang between the both of you. You suck on her tongue, milking her for all you can.
“Shit,” she grimaces. “I might cum witchu if you keep doing me like this.”
“I’m gonna cum, P, I can’t take anymore.” Your eyes screw shut.
Paige’s thrusts are sloppy and her breathing is uneven as she takes you in. “I-I know, sexy.”
She delivers three final and strong thrusts to your pussy and you cum for the third time of the night. You spill onto the strap some more as Paige helps you ride out her high and tries to cum herself.
You let her, knowing she’s getting off on her own thrusts. You gather her hair into a ponytail and pull as you breath out together, cumming in tandem.
Your body spasms dramatically, convulsing under Paige’s weight. She collapses into your shoulder, but doesn’t entirely for fear of crushing you.
The room smells like sex and when you look between Paige’s thighs, there’s a noticeable wetness there. You reach down and stick your hand inside her boxers, swiping through her folds. She jumps at the feeling and watches as you take your middle finger into your mouth and suck on it.
Paige groans, “you’re killing me here.”
You laugh, smiling to yourself.
Eventually, Paige does fully collapse on top of you, not yet pulling out.
You catch your breath together, thinking about what actually just took place.
A beat passes before you start feeling like you have to say what’s on your mind. “Is this a one-time thing?”
The question brings Paige back to life momentarily. “Nah, definitely not. You’re mine now.”
