I need somebody good with computers to help me out with smth 😔

I have tried many things and this weird problem is persisting on my laptop (Alienware brand)

(It’s practically new, I’ve only had it for like five months.)

I cannot adjust the screen brightness whatsoever, the buttons do not work, and the slider doesn’t work.

My steam games all run at 3-4 fps, while all other non-steam games work perfectly fine.

The audio is perfectly fine, it’s just the visuals and only on steam games.

I have restarted it many times, I’ve updated the drivers, the storage is not an issue, I uninstalled the recent windows update because these problems originally started immediately after that had installed itself.

I’m not very well versed in tech stuff or the terminology for things :,) but I’ve been trying to find solutions through research and so far everything I’ve tried has done nothing.

Any ideas cool people with tech experience and skills?? 😔 I just wanna play my whimsical farming games

WHY DOESNT MY PC EVER FUCKING WORK BRO im switching from my moms laptop back to the family pc (haven’t been using itncuz it was in my brothers room) why does it refuse to stay connected to the internet. why is it taking 7 hours to download a 43.3 gb game. why is NOTHING FUCKING WORKING NOT EVEN TASK MANAGER BRO IM FUCKING TWEAKING

I could use a laptop i can actually bring to school cus my current 5,5 yo girl does not charge 80% of the time (perma plugged in like a desktop) and now i am wondering if i should just get a lightweight laptop/tablet for school notes and keep my current gaming laptop until she falls apart (soon, i suspect), get a €1300 gaming laptop ( shit is expensive here) i can also bring to school which frankly i feel a bit squeeish about bringing a expensive gaming laptop on public transport, or get a small tablet/laptop plus proper pc tower gaming rig while i am spending money anyway. ( I can afford it as a necessary savings account expense)

Welcome back folks to Lee having PC promblems at *checks watch* 9pm. PC was running just fine yesterday and this morning and suddenly every game is running at 100CPU. I had factory reset it just two days ago. Wtf.

Since I've been having serious problems with my stupid PC lately, it's probably going to end up having to buy a new one at some point… This thing has been bugging me so, so much lately. Sometimes Explorer freezes when I want to move pictures from A to B, or the PC won't start or shut down properly… This thing is almost five years old now. Normally, I know someone in my circle who knows a lot about computers, has practically studied the entire inner workings, and has always been able to help me. But lately, he hasn't been responding to my messages, I have no idea why. I need real help with this thing. And since I'm completely disabled, And my caregivers aren't good with computers either… I can't do anything on my own. It's really shitty right now… Have a nice day, my loves…🙏

so like.. I have this thing that happens on my computer when I try to play video games.. not every game does it, and it's not studio specific either,

idk how to explain it so here's some screenshots:

I don't have screenshots but, A Date With Death - by Two and a Half Studio also lagged this way, the background of Casper's room would lag like that

and another game all the backgrounds did this but I can't remember which it was and I don't have the time to go through all my games at 3:30 a.m. lol

all the games I have that do these were obtained through Itch. io and unzipped/extracted with WinRAR with "extract here" function

whether I run games as administrator or not does not change anything to this issue

the only issue my pc could have that I can think of is, I *am* running these on a 14 y/o graphics card (2010)

it's genuinely not a great graphics card, but it also can run games like Genshin Impact & Zenless Zone Zero with little to no problems

has anyone else ever encountered this issue? if so, did you manage to fix it/ how?

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling games, it does not work

I know it's a minor issue, but it does often ruin my gaming experience on games I am certain I could genuinely love otherwise

I've looked online and either I just can't describe the issue well enough to find a solution, or just no one else has had this issue before, which I doubt lmao, I also looked in all the games' comment sections on itch. io and it doesn't seem like anyone else has these issues...

WHY THE HECK CAN I NOT GET IN TOUCH WITH A REAL PERSON in a CUSTOMER SUPPORT???? Like CMON. For context my laptop hasn’t been having wifi issues. It connects but won’t let me access any websites. It keeps giving the “This site can’t be reached”.

I called the customer support line and all I got was some stupid bot. And it didn’t even help me it just sent me back to the same stupid website. What the heck
