Amen to that 🙏
Take it day by day..
This is something I have always heard when dealing with each new struggle that I've had to face. However, I have to say this year has been the hardest. It's only May and I want it to be over. To move on and see what 2022 has to bring. Alas, I can't though.
PCOS is something I have struggled with for almost fourteen years now. Back then, when I first got the diagnosis, I was told I'll never have children and I was too fat. The nurse failed to mention long ago that there was a specific PCOS focus diet that would help me to manage weight along side the hormone therapy and medications. If I had known then my family could of helped more but I was twelve what did I know? Well now fourteen years later, I am having the worst year of it because it feels like the cosmos is kicking me in the teeth and mocking me.
It turns out I can have children, the doctor I went to at eighteen was very adamant about that. However, I just can't right now. I have more health issues and until I'm sure of what they are and how it will affect me, my husband and I have agreed to wait. Yet, everyone around me keeps popping out babies and there's baby announcements everywhere in my friend circles. And the one person in my life who's been very adamant about not having children of her own has been landed with a child and it feels like the whole situation is a cosmic kick in the gut. Don't get me wrong, I am happy for them all, but Lord the situation sucks.
I have cried so much this year. So many tears over the thought of just wanting a little one. So many pregnancy tests have come back negative. All I want is one positive. Just a child of my own. I will never stop fighting through PCOS, but sometimes a girl needs a break. But I fight like a girl. A strong girl. A powerful girl. And I have the best husband by my side.
Dear Fellow Cyster,
Welcome to our journey together as we develop a healthy PCOS lifestyle. I figured little changes to our day to day will help us manage our symptoms, today it is drinking an extra glass of water, tomorrow we are walking around the block. Slow and steady changes so we don't burn out or feel discouraged.
Share your journey with me and together let's feel better about ourselves one day at a time!

PMS and PCOS
Don't you hate it when you are PMS-ing for what seems like a long time and yet, there is STILL NO period! Does anyone else experience this?
Some months, your body just changes so quickly. You get emotional and cranky. Your stomach feels bloated, more pimples starts appearing and you get these sudden spurts of what feels like period cramps and then nothing. You just wait around hoping that your period will come but it never comes and it is so frustrating! At the end, you are left wondering what is going on with my body and what am I getting all these PMS symptoms but my period isn't here yet :(
Can anyone else relate to this? >.<
