For a man who was always nonchalant/always looking upset, he sure was touchy.
So when he grabs you by the waist literally out of nowhere, you flip out and drop the folders, seeing the papers fall out and scatter.
You grumble and turn around, irritated as fuck and ready to blow off the chip that had been on your shoulder since early this morning.
“See what you made me do?! What do you want!” you yelled with furrowed eyebrows and cross your arms over each other under your chest.
He stared down at you and hesitated for a moment before speaking, “I need something from you” he mumbled with a deeper tone.
“What? You couldn’t make yourself known first instead of just grabbing me like that?” you yelled out, sighing in frustration and pouting, knowing you were going to get yelled at for the papers.
He laid his hands on both sides of your head and gently massaged your temples with his thumbs, absolutely shocking you. With your eyebrows slightly furrowed now, you blinked a couple of times, looking in his eyes for a moment then looking away, avoiding further eye contact with him.
“I don’t care for the papers… but, I do need something from you right now” he whispered once more and leaned down, closing the distance between your neck and his face. You started screaming in uttered embarrassment and feeling absolutely flustered when you feel his hand gently cup your right cheek.
You start to feel a little lightheaded, palms sweating and heart racing faster than normal.
“Th-the hell’s wrong with you?!” you stuttered, feeling your heart swell and something blossom in your stomach. You laid your hands on his chest, trying to push him off but with no luck.
You’ll admit, you had a little crush on him but, it wasn’t anything serious just because you felt deep down you never had a chance and it wasn’t worth it.
His hands move around to your upper back, slowly sliding down to your lower back as if caressing it. He pushes his nose into your hair, inhaling the fresh aroma from your products and exhaling as he opened his eyes. He leaned back but stayed just a few inches away from your face.
You both stood there in silence, staring into each others eyes, with you absolutely flipping the fuck out at the sudden intimacy and him trying to control this “beast” waiting to come out.
“I-I have to go-!” you stuttered out, trying to leave the space but being gripped slightly tighter than before.
“We’ll take it slow-” he mumbled against your cheek, lifting your leg to wrap around his waist “TAKE WHAT SLOW?” you frantically yelled out, overwhelmed with agitation and embarrassment. Your nervous and flustered yelling was cut off when he pressed his covered cock against your pelvis, causing a moan to slip out of your mouth.
“there we go..” he spoke quietly through clenched teeth, feeling his cock harden even more and his pants getting tighter in the front. Your eyes widened as you shakily covered your mouth.
“Why hold back when you can let go, sweetheart?” he whispered in your ear, giving it a nibble as he removed your hand from your mouth and wrapped his arm around you, holding you in place while the other hand laid against your ass cheek and gripped it tightly.
A squeak fell out of your mouth and you bit your bottom lip, forcing down another moan ready to slip out as you squeezed your eyes tightly. As if a switch flipped on, he bent down and picked you up, hauling you over his shoulder then walking out the room with you protesting and beating his back with your fists.
After getting your first Tattoo, your boyfriend Peruh helps you through the pain and with care, torturing you with massaging the tattoo cream into your skin, your pained gasps ringing out, your body jolting forwards, trying to explain the way it hurt, when he touched your painted wound.
You had heard many horror stories about how painful a tattoo would be, but the hours you sat there getting your tattoo were mildly uncomfortable. It wasn't as bad as everyone had made it out to be, at the start you had nearly fallen asleep multiple times because it had been so relaxing. Your Boyfriend Peruh had held your hand and reassured you. He had laughed with you and commented on the process of the tattoo whenever you needed it. He one time went up to get some drinks and snacks for everyone in the room.
The end undoubtedly hurt the most. There just wer certain spots that hurt immensely, Peruhs' hand nearly being crushed by your sheer force of pain. It was all good, however. No tears were shed, the show was finished, and so was Our tattoo - a big hawk flying into space adorned your back now, a tad bit of blood seeping out very slowly, while the tattoo shined with the clear fluids to close the wound. You had thanked the artist and returned home after getting some clear foil over your tattoo, as to not stain your clothes. He drove you home.
The worst part wasn't the pain, it was not being able to shower for a solid two weeks. Every morning your boyfriend took the shower head, making sure the water wasn't too hot or cold, and washed the tattoo off with water, before patting it dry. You hung around without a shirt or bra in your house to let the tattoo air-dry and heal better and faster. You had no idea if it actually worked that way, but it had been suggested. Peruh was kind enough to even treat it with the treatment salve you had bought from the shop.
When he told you your tattoo was flaking off you first started to panic. ou had heard about tattoos falling off, but never about flaking off - had you down something wrong, or had the artist? Where you gonna end up with a nasty scar? He had been quick to shut it down, explaining it was simply flaking, and that the ink wasn't actually leaving your body. You ended up googling to to make sure and were thankful that everything healed correctly.
When it started to itch and you couldn't bare it, he simply placed his hands on the spot where it did, effectively ending the itching most of the time. He was a wonderful help and you were grateful. He even made progress pictures of the healing tattoo and updated you on ever single thing happening.
After two weeks were over there was one thing on your list, that was first - shower. Shower with the nearly scorching water running over your skin and using shampoo and conditioner and body wash without having to bend over the tub or using a washcloth, as to not get any chemicals inside your tattoo. Peruh joined you in the bathroom, wanting to see the fully healed tattoo. The second you got out, he still helped you dry off, his hand wandering to softly go over the painted picture, engraved in your skin forever.
"Such a beautiful picture on such a strong person. I am so grateful, so honoured you allow me to call you mine" "As I call you mine, my beautiful, handsome, gentle and loving partner. Thank you so much"
He had blushed at the compliment and bashfully exclaimed how he loved you until every star in teh universe would die. He could be a bit dramatic, but it was always a pleasure to hear such words. A storm of light, loving kisses were exchanged and you were left happy in the bathroom as he went to make dinner, a wonderful engraving on your back, always reminding you about him and the way he loved you.
"I love you too, Peruh. Even if all the stars in this universe died, I would love you still, until tmevery star in every universe died and nothing exists anymore"
-your shoes clicked against the palace’s marble floors followed by the sound of vivi’s, the two of you rushed down the staircase towards the throne room where pell was leaving for the day
-”maybe he’s already outside!”
-vivi panted heavily as the two of you had in fact run from the other side of the castle, she fell behind as you ran out the towering doors and spotted pell a little ways away near the top of the stairs
-”baby! wait!”
-pell turned with a soft smile and opened his arms for you, you crashed into him and gestured for him to give you a minute, trying to catch your breath before you looked up from his robes and pouted leaning your chin on his chest
-”you have to give me kiss before you go!’
-”i’m sorry my dear i just thought you were busy.”
-he dipped his head down and landed a soft kiss on your cheek, pulling away after a moment to replace his lips on yours
-chaka coughed from beside the two of you and pell pulled back with a blush dusting his pale cheeks
-”stay safe baby i love you!”
-you turned on your heel as pell called out “i love you too” and you ran back to vivi who was waiting by the doors
-barto was trying to get out unfortunately he wasn’t slow enough because you stirred and moved your arm to rest on his bare chest
-barto opened his mouth in a silent squeal and watched you with a huge smile and heart eyes, after a moment passed he tried to move away again this time lovingly moving your arm off him when you tried to pull him back
-”baby i need to go help the crew real quick.” he spoke in a soft tone while he propped himself up on his arm
-”but i wanna cuddle~”
-a small scream escaped bartolomeo and he leaned back down to brush a loose strand of hair awway from your eyes
-”i’ll be right back and we can cuddle then.”
-you whined again and opened your eyes pouting up at the fanged man but nevertheless you let him go with a groan “okay but i want a kiss first.”
-bartolomeo shuddered in excitement and quickly leaned down pressing a kiss to your cheek, followed by three more kisses littered across your face before he stood up and hurried out in only his boxers so he could shout some orders to the crew and run back to immediately hop back in bed with you
-the first streaks of light peeled through the window hitting dragon’s bare back as he sat on the side of the bed
-you stirred and whined as your stretched sitting up in bed
-dragon looked over his shoulder and gave you a small smile
-you sleepily crawled across the bed and wrapped your arms around dragon’s neck
-he looked up at you and ran his hand along your lol arm before leaning up and capturing your lips in a tender kiss
-he stood up and there his clothes on while you watched still drowsy from the bed, once he was done he went back over to you and leaned down
-“I love you dear”
-he whispered quietly before he placed a soft kiss to your cheek tickling you with his stubble
-with that he turned and left you in the earliest days of sunrise giving you to the opportunity to slip back under the covers and pull them up around you inhaling dragon’s scent
This is my submission for @some-piece ‘s 2500 Followers Event! I got this prompt at a time when I was binging One Piece again and fell for Pell all over again, so of course he’s in this one. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!
Fluff prompt: “Shh, you’re safe. I won’t let you go.”
Characters: Pell x f!reader
Genre: Fluff
Words: 1814
The bustling noises of the market below were only a faint murmur beneath the anxious drumming of her heart against her ribcage. Y/n stood in front of the door on top of the clock tower, her hand clawing at the concrete wall as she hesitantly leaned over the edge. The wind teased the loose tresses her braid couldn’t hold, making them dance in front of her face like a thin veil. She managed to keep a deadpan expression, but a shaky breath gave her away to the man standing behind her.
“We don’t have to do this if you don’t want to,” Pell reminded her, momentarily looking over her shoulder at the city of Alubarna, then quickly diverting his eyes to her face. She turned to look at him, her mind instantly switching from worrying over the height of the tower, to his facial features. Her eyes found the thin lines forming at the creases of his eyes, a tiny detail she found during one of their scarce dates, and which never failed to bring her relief, without him even knowing. His hands found her hips and held her close to him, with the intent of reassuring her, but even such a small gesture carried such love that she felt her face heat up slightly.
“I-,” Y/n started, only to clear her throat to make her voice less squeaky and more grounded, trying to fool him into thinking that she was completely sure of herself, “I want to do it.”
A glint of amusement flashed through his eyes, and Y/n realized she hadn’t been able to fool him at all. His expression remained serene, however; he would never laugh at her worries, even if he found them hilarious. He was always so considerate with her feelings, and his voice never lost its serenity. In his loving gaze, she found reassurance, and smiled at him before resting her hands on top of his.
“I want to see the world how you see it.”
Her statement shocked him slightly, which was evident in the way his brow lifted if only a little. One could miss it, with his makeup and his self-control, but she was sure she saw it. The amusement in his eyes gave way to pure and elated happiness, nearly making her melt at the sight of it.
Truth be told, Pell hasn’t had many partners in his life who he could be so open with. Y/n was the first one who lasted more than one or two months, and she was willing to dance around his rigid schedules and squeeze every spare minute of his free time making him feel loved and appreciated. She was accommodating to his needs and his work demands, willing to spend long periods of time without seeing him in order for him to fulfil his duties as Guardian. Still, Y/n never flaked in her pampering, greeting him with open arms as soon as she saw him walking in her direction, pulling out all stops to offer him comfort on particularly gruelling days, and not minding whenever he straight up fell asleep on her out of pure exhaustion.
He felt eternally grateful that he had such an understanding partner as her, but he knew that he needed to step it up. A relationship couldn't be held together only by one of the people in it, after all. Pell had become painfully aware that Y/n had made more sacrifices than him, and he wanted to remedy the situation before it even became a problem. He had made up his mind and decided to start making it up to her in any way possible.
Hence here they were, on the anniversary of their first date, on the top of the clock tower, looking down at the market. Pell had offered to do whatever Y/n wanted for the day, and she asked to fly so she could see what he saw every day. He couldn’t stop feeling like he was the one receiving a gift, since taking her out on a flight represented to him a huge step forward in their relationship.
A slow tilt of her head brought him back from his thoughts, and he offered her a warm smile. His hand rose to her cheek and calloused knuckles carefully pulled back a rebellious strand of hair and fixed it behind her ear.
“You spoil me, flower,” he hummed as his thumb stroked her jaw, drawing an amused chuckle from her.
He stepped back and began transforming into a falcon, the feathers blooming from all over his body, and the beak reshaping his face. The first time Y/n witnessed it, she thought it looked very painful, however he always reassured her that it barely tickled. Now, Y/n couldn’t help but grow excited when the falcon stared back at her, and she didn’t hold her hand back, carefully stroking his neck feathers and feeling them twitch under her touch.
Pell laughed softly, enjoying the ticklish sensation, before turning around and crouching so she could reach his shoulders. “Alright, hop on.” She obeyed and lifted herself with a little jump, wrapping her arms around his neck. He shifted her with his wings a little until he was able to balance her on his back, and then he approached the edge of the tower again.
“Pell, I know I said I was excited about flying with you,” she murmured with a gulp as she looked down at the market over his shoulder, “but I’m still not feeling very excited about this height.”
“Shh, you’re safe,” he reassured her, turning his head to flash her a smile, “I won’t let you go.”
Y/n felt her face heat up at the sincerity of his statement, and she rested her chin on his shoulder. “I trust you, Pell.”
He would be lying if he said his heart wasn’t soaring at how she entrusted him with her safety, and his chest swelled in pride, if only a bit. Now, more determined than ever to make her first flight experience the most enjoyable one, he focused on the wind, the air pressure, and the air space around him. He didn’t remember the last time he cared so much for those details, but since he was carrying a treasure, this time it would be different.
Once he was sure it was safe to fly, he jumped off the clock tower and spread his wings, feeling the wind caress his face and a squeal coming from Y/n, a mix between terror and excitement that made him chuckle. He steered himself in the air and gained altitude with a few flaps of his large wings, easily soaring over the city, mostly unnoticed by passers-by. It wasn’t a rare sight to see the Guardian of Alabasta taking to the skies after all.
It took a few seconds for Y/n to realize that she had shut her eyes, but when the sound of the flapping wings stopped and the wind brushed her face steadily, she dared open them again. A tiny gasp escaped her as she looked down at the streets she walked every day, now resembling lines on a map, and the people she passed every day looking like colourful ants. Her fear of heights momentarily forgotten, she stared down at Alubarna in wonder, now aware that this was the sight her beloved got every day. The buildings seemed to be made in completely different shapes to the ones she knew, and the shadow of the falcon cut through the ground below, not caring about any obstacle in its way. She started pointing out every person and shop she could recognize, although it became evident that the further they rose from the ground, the less she could distinguish them.
"Can you distinguish the people below?," she asked him, a wide grin adorning her features, "Or do you just guess who you see?"
"I can distinguish them all," Pell laughed heartily, and glanced down at the streets. "I can see their faces, and the things they carry, too."
She only hummed in answer, struggling to keep her eyes open against the wind. It was exciting to see her beloved city in a different perspective; in his perspective. Pell embraced the ticklish sensation of her arms buried between his feathers, along with her weight on his back and her little squeals of happiness that broke the stillness of the air when he suddenly dipped to gain speed and flapped his wings to gain more altitude, changing his direction and heading over to the royal palace at the centre of Alubarna.
From the balcony of one of the libraries of the royal palace, Princess Vivi waved at them enthusiastically. Y/n flushed and shyly waved back, earning a chuckle from the falcon who simply bowed his head in a greeting. As they flew over the large courtyard, they saw Chaka leading the drills with the soldiers in the training grounds. Pell glanced at the group shortly, thinking that if he hadn't asked for a free day, he would be overseeing their training alongside his friend. As if aware that he was being observed, Chaka looked up and waved at Pell with a smirk, and the falcon didn't miss the wink and the hand that gestured to his back. It was his turn to feel shy now, and changed direction again, heading off towards the outskirts of the city.
“Look ahead,” he instructed once they were approaching the outer walls of the city. Y/n did so, and her eyes met the horizon where the red sun slowly met the ground, the dunes of the desert cutting the light and creating zigzag shadows against the sky. The sight sucked her breath away, and she tightened her hold on his neck, her arms burying themselves into the soft feathers and her chin resting on his shoulder.
“Pell,” she gasped, “this is beautiful.”
If he focused hard enough, he could feel her heartbeat against his back, completely in sync with his own. He could sense her tiny puffs of breath brushing the feathers on the side of his neck, and her warmth enveloped him like a blanket. He didn’t want their flight to end, but still…
“...I still prefer walking, though,” he mused, and before she could ask, he continued, “I cannot see your beautiful self if you’re on my back.”
He had barely finished his sentence when he felt her bury her face in his back with a giggle.
“Let’s go home, then,” she offered, raising her flushed face from his back, and added with a little squeeze of her arms, “you make my heart soar even without flying, anyway.”
She giggled louder when his feathers puffed out, making it obvious that her comment startled him, but he covered it with a cough. “Y-yeah, okay,” he squeaked, tilting his body and turning back towards their beloved city of Alubarna, where their home was.

prompt: BOX A - ⑷ Shielding the other with their body
pairing: Pell x F!Reader
warnings: none
word count: ~460
He was flying too low, noticeably unsteady. Neither of you wanted to accept it, but you both knew it was too soon.
Even from the distance, you could see the furrow of his brows and the frustration riddled along his features as he quickly lost control and barrelled towards the nearest dune. Your feet grew minds of their own as they quickly rushed you towards his targeted landing space and planted themselves in the burning sand as you opened your arms. You had little time to think about how this was more than likely not a good idea before he drew closer.
He attempted to slow down and avoid you, but controlling his movements was still beyond his current control. Instead, he quickly changed into human form before crashing into you as you shielded his body from diving face first into the sand. The impact was quick, and though the sand cushioned your fall, it still hurt like hell.
“Are you alright?” You questioned, spitting out mouthfuls of sand in the process.
Pell lifted his head from the crook of your neck, brows furrowed impossibly lower paired with a scowl on his painted lips, “Am I alright? What were you thinking, doing something foolish like that? I could have seriously harmed you!”
“My feet…” You winced as you attempted to sit up, body suddenly reacting to the pain of the collision now that the adrenaline had run out, “moved on their own. I’m sorry, Pell.”
His features instantly softened as did his hands as they caressed you and helped you up. They moved from your arms, searching for any signs of broken bones, him sighing in relief when he found none, up to cup your cheeks, “Thank you.” He kissed your forehead, “I’m sorry for yelling, I just…”
He trailed off and you grabbed at the hands that held your face to offer him comfort. His eyes found yours once more and he confessed, “I’m just not used to the one being protected. I’ve spent my life protecting the kingdom and I’ve vowed to protect yours. But you’ve been my rock throughout my recovery and I just don’t think I could get through this without you.”
You squeezed his hands, “You won’t have to.” The two of you attempted to stand and it was Pell’s turn to wince in pain. “But please stop pushing yourself. If I hadn’t cushioned your fall, you’d be bed ridden for the rest of the year.”
“I know, I know.” He managed a smile as he took your hand in his, “I’ll be more careful.”
You limped beside him before leaning onto him for support, “Looks like I’ll be joining you in the recovery unit. I wonder if Igaram could place our beds beside each other…”
“That doesn’t make me feel better!”

Hi hazel for that event of yours, is it possible to do ❤ + 👶 for Pell please? -Sarah
Hi Sarah! I don't think I've seen Pell fiction written often, what an intersting ask! I had to rewatch a little anime to refresh my memory on him, hope this is all right! Enjoy <3
trigger warning for mentions of cheating but I promise there is NO actual cheating in the fic!
"I know what you do when you're 'overworking'."
It was the very first thing you said as he entered your shared bedroom, you were ready to go sleep but had been in time to catch him slipping in the bed with you.
"Wha-?" a mix of shock and confusion was apparent in his voice, you didn't even have to see his face to know.
"You've been late multiple evenings, claiming there had been so much work to do. Yet, when I go check your office to surprise you, you're nowhere to be found."
"Y/n, I can explain, I-" his voice was filled with panic, but that soon was replaced by even more confusion as you started laughing. You sat up, relishing in the brief moment of impending doom you had caused him to experience. You had no idea how he would try to talk himself out if it, especially since for anyone it might look like something terrible, like cheating.
"Really? Giving the princess rides on your back as you fly above the city? The king will kill you if he finds out!"
Pell grimaced as you laughed even harder, unsure whether to be relieved or a little mad for playing him like that. Then again, he deserved it for not telling you. You could've easily drawn a conclusion that was way worse.
He changed and got into bed with you while you were still laughing a little. He explained everything and when he was done, and you were snuggling closer to him as you got ready to sleep, you whispered one more thing:
"I won't tell on you if you give me a ride as well"
C-can I have a spell for strengthening a relationship with pell please 🙏🥺 -Sarah
Ahhh yes you can for sure! I adore Pell, he was probably my first big Alabasta crush??? I just think he's so adorable. I've never written for him before, so I hope that it sounds okay? And thank you so much for the request!!
After the Wedding — Pell
You guys stood over the balcony of the palace, overlooking the beautiful starry night of Alabasta. Desert sands shimmering in the starlight, the distant shapes of the dunes shadowed in the distance. Pell wrapped his arms around you, encompassing your body in his own, both of your hands intertwined together. The party had just wound down, everyone in Alubarna having returned to their homes after the extravagant wedding celebration King Cobra had graciously thrown for you both. Now it was just you two—you, and your new husband. Able to take in the day's events, and finally able to take each other in as newly married. You turned around, placing a gentle kiss on his lips, admiring him in his traditional wedding attire. The moment was perfect—and you couldn't wait to spend forever with a man as strong and loyal as he was.
