Pelyan AU - In which they remember.
// A week later, Percival and Elyan found Merlin and Arthur curled up in a corner of the kitchens, wrapped around each other and moaning unmistakably. They froze, pillows and blankets dropping from their arms. The two couples stared at each other in awkward silence, interrupting only by the banquet for the new year in the great hall. "Erm," Merlin coughed, face as red as Arthur's cloak, "this never happened?" Percival and Elyan nodded, slowly, scooping up their undeveloped nest and scooting out
the door. Once outside, their suppressed smiles grew into full-out laughter. They giggled all the way to the armoury, where Percival pushed Elyan into the wall with a smirk. "They started the new year off with a bang," he grinned, leaning in to whisper in Elyan's ear. "Why don't we do the same?" // (If, the next morning, both the king's lover and the queen's brother looked a little worse for wear--well. Nobody dared to tempt the wrath of a king or a knight, and that was that.)
"This, um," Elyan stuttered, grabbing a pillow and placing it in front of his crotch, "it's not. We're not. This isn't what it looks like. Sire." Percival nodded frantically in agreement, eyes comically wide and sheet bunched up at his waist. Arthur let out a long-suffering sigh, scrubbing at his face with the palms of his hands as if he could get rid of the image of their writhing bodies burned--burned!--onto his eyelids. "Next time you have sex in the armoury," he growled out through gritted
teeth, "with an actual nest of pillows and blankets, good god, you two are more girls than Merlin is--lock. The damn. Door." Both Elyan and Percival nodded furiously, unseen by Arthur's shielded eyes as he stomped towards the door, muttering under his breath. "I'm only letting this go because it's Christmas!" he yelled, slamming the door shut behind him." Elyan breathed out a sigh of relief before pushing Percival into said nest, arms crossed and lips drawn tight. "You said you locked it," he
ground out, eyebrow raised in disapproval. Percival spluttered, making aborted hand gestures as Elyan stared him down in silence. The larger man gave up, settling into the pillows like a petulant child. Elyan finally broke under Percival's pout and reproachful glare, mouth curling into a smile and body flopping down against him. Elyan smirked--a blatant challenge without a single word spoken--and Percival growled, flipping them over and pinning down his slighter body. (A white Christmas indeed.)
