“The telegony isn’t real”
“It’s basically just fanfiction”
“Circe didn’t marry Telemachus”
“It wasn’t confirmed by Homer so it doesn’t count”
Okay I’m so confused and wish to have a good faith discussion. Is Homer really the end all be all to all things related to the odyssey/telegony?
Like, the myths surrounding Odysseus and his family existed well before Homer, with their own multiple endings and interpretations, and he just wrote his own version down, right?
And even if it doesn’t line up with Homer’s continuity, is it still not valid mythology? I honestly don’t understand why it wouldn’t be. -mod note.
It’s always so funny when people go “I hate Rick Riordan for making people think—-“ or “Madeline miller got people mixed up about Circe” or epic, or even low hanging fruit like Troy 2004.
Usually, these creators didn’t do anything wrong. It’s not their fault people don’t research.
I love the way OSP drew and represented Medea’s story so much.
Not a boy, but I did make this meme lol -mod note

I told my friend about possibly getting ilium:the musical” and he said “oh no. You will become more powerful. “ LMAO.
….who would have signed it? Homer himself? The muses? -mod note
This is probably gonna come off as weird and random, especially if you’re not a woman, but I love the beauty and dignity that the fandom brings characters like Penelope.
I’m talkng about her being a woman and over thirty. Older and middle aged women are beautiful, they’re gorgeous, hot and awesome. Im tired of seeing people only fixate on teenage girls and below, whether it’s in fandom and fictional characters or not. Sad part, 30s isn’t even that old but societally speaking, we often throw women away once they age past their thirties and I hate it.
