Monkie Kid Crack AU, where most of Wukong's enemies flirt with Macaque, either to spite Wukong or because they actually have a thing for Macaque...
wuh oh trauma (lore for my warrior cats au)
Valentine's Week, Day 6, Fic 2
Summary: While cuddling with Peng, Macaque thinks.
-_-
The nest was nice.
Macaque almost hated to admit it, but the nest was nice. He was warm and he almost felt safe. The one thing that made him feel less safe was cuddled up next to him, fast asleep.
The dark-furred monkey sighed, turning his gaze to the window. The stars sparkled outside, speaking of a nonexistent peace. Camel Ridge was unstable, he knew that. Few humans willingly subjected themselves to being ruled by demons, especially considering the wasteland outside.
But, with Peng's mouth slightly parted as they breathed in and out, Macaque pushed those thoughts away. They could wait.
Instead, he pressed a chaste peck to their mouth.
I know little dawn had one sided peng/macaque because the fic was based on an existing AU that had it, so I don't know if that is something you will actually have. But if queen of the mountain has it, putting in my bet that the only reason peng didn't love potion macaque is that they are vain enough to believe they can win him over when he is fully rejected by wukong
Actually, while I was very tempted to add in a one sided Peng/Macaque, I decided not to. Peng’s weird inferiority/superiority complex towards Macaque had an important role. I felt that a hate-crush would’ve minimized it.
Also, I wanted to also draw attention to Yue’s instant beef with Peng. It’s a special sort of hate-at-first-sight and the instinctive “let’s burn it with fire” feeling that Yue wouldn’t have with anyone else. If Shanzha hadn’t shot the bird, Yue would’ve hunted them down by herself when she became of age.
Yue’s at the age when there’s only one thing in a little girl’s mind: Homicide
ok, ok, hopefully last of cat posting for now- but I just had a vision ok-
