Too bad Adventures in Odyssey is a radio show, so I can’t see which characters are fashionistas

I know for a fact Edwin is one, I think he’s the most fashionable/fashion forward person in Odyssey (it’s the theatreness in him, if you’re not going big go home). I think Shakespeare would have a specific look and the only difference would be the colors (button up, vest, bow tie, slacks, loafers for example). When there’s a special occasion, he’s probably change up his style a good bit, making Edwin go “you can do that?!”

The emo kids of Odyssey would also be little fashionistas (my immediate thought is Kelly and Nick, despite Nick being described as a blonde hair boy and wearing a shirt that says “I love my barking tree frog”) (the current Odyssey picture throws me off)

I think Penny would be more fashionable than Wooton. Wooton just rocks a dad/mailman look while Penny works hard to dress cute and they both love it.

I’d love to hear more thoughts on AIO fashionistas!

Ok guys…. I have a major problem with the whole Edwin X Zelda thing. First of all, isn’t Edwin in his 50’s at LEAST? He’s the exact same age as Regis, being his twin and all. I assume he dyed his hair so no gray shows but that doesn’t change the fact that Zelda looks maybe 30 at the oldest?

She definitely looks way younger than him, right? I’m not going crazy?

I feel like in some panels they do make him look a TAD younger like this one here but that could be entirely coincidental.

Aside from this, though, my other and perhaps bigger issue is just how….. (and this is gonna sound terrible I’m sure) frankly, *horny*, this story seems to be? Especially on Zelda’s side? 😅

Why is she giving him bedroom eyes like this? And it’s not just these panels, it’s throughout. And she could just be teasing cause it’s funny or whatever but THIS ART IS WILD. They use that pink light a lot and I remember it really catching me off guard 😅

Also, not to mention the actual story is questionable with Edwin learning to have to show her basic respect and that being the biggest reason he doesn’t pursue her. Like hello?? That’s horrible?? Is there not anything else you like in her? They do bond over theatre i THINK but that is SO BASIC 😭😭 they have such forced chemistry it’s crazy.

I have a feeling the only reason they did this is to “stop” people from shipping Edwin and Shakespeare- but this whole forced romance is sooo uncomfortable.

Does anyone else feel this way or have anything else to add? Am I totally off base? I’ll admit it’s been a while since I’ve read it but I just remember feeling super icky the whole time 😭

The main difference that people notice between Edwin and Regis Blackgaard is that their noses are different - Edwin's nose is crooked whereas Regis' nose is straight. The reason is that Regis broke Edwin's nose when they were kids and it never got set correctly. To this day it drives Edwin crazy that his nose is crooked, but Shakespeare always tells him that it gives him "character" and that it's "quite fetching, really." It helps a little.

It sucks the writers forgot all about the icon that is Sasha and didn’t have an entire episode focused on Edwin, who’s allergic to cats, of course, finding out he’s been left this finicky, purebred cat that hates him in Regis’ will

Sasha would pee on his shoes and vomit on the stage right where he has to walk. She’d get fur all over his costumes, claw his antique furniture, lounge all over his silk pillowcases, and only eat $30 cans of wet food

And, obviously, Sasha adores Shakespeare and he defends her to the ends of the earth from his husband and never believes Edwin that she’s doing things on purpose to mess with him

who is your favorite old AIO character? It can be anyone, from Lucy to Donna to Richard Maxwell!

Unquestionably Bernard Walton! Odyssey's resident window-washer, grouch, troll, storyteller, and hilariously reluctant cousin. He's just the best.

Of course, there's others I love too! Tom Riley was awesome (gosh, I'm missing his character just thinking about it). Edwin Blackgaard and Walter Shakespeare were great, too. And honestly, a number of the saga specific characters were really just amazing and I wish they became more regular parts of the cast, like Buck and Penny did after Green Ring.

My favourite kid character was probably a super obscure one, like Digger Digwillow or Irwin Springer. Lawrence was fun, though!

Farewell, Blackgaard brothers 💜💔

The Blackgaard Brothers were just two of the wonderful things Adventures in Odyssey gave us as fans! Regis Blackgaard will always be my favorite ever, and I will always love and appreciate Earl’s performances as him and his brother, Edwin.
