When I first discovered Japanese alternative fashion I fell in love with yama-kei or mountain girl style. It's like comfy cute clothes that you could go light hiking in and not die. It feature knitted materials, thicker fabrics, and quirky motifs. The big brand pushing it at the time was ne-net and I remember collecting their physical look books and hoping one day I could afford their clothes. Fast forward to years later here I am living my yama-kei dreams even though that sub fashion is long dead. I also want to note that I love corduroy and I'm so glad it's finally cool enough to mix my favorite fabrics. Everything here is thrifted except the tights and accessories.
