Being a music major like
bruh my back fuckin
hurts
they couldn’t have given the percussion section one chair to sit on?
not one?
so we wouldn’t have to stay standing up
for six fuckin hours
When you’re a musician so you want to take great pictures of your music to share but also a percussionist with a middle school sense of humor and have to take a picture of the only thing that really matters
“We’re adding the percussion today!”
String orchestra:
Choir:
Band:
Percussion:
You know its a percussion section when they ran out of stands so the Cymbal player who nobody actually knows their name OR gender has to use two hairties and a middleschool lunch table with A DIFFERENT PERCUSSIONISTS music binder holding it up
Flashback to the time when I was watching my high school’s jazz band and one of the rhythm section players had played the guiro for a while on one of the songs and on the way home, my mom (I’m a percussionist btw, but neither of my parents are musicians) leans over to me and says ‘what was that slidy corn on the cob’ and I laughed for fifteen minutes and it’s still funny
Let’s have a moment of silence to remember all of the hair-ties that have been donated to hold triangles in the past, and the ones that will be used in the future.
