no fucking clue why but i keep picturing lucky flickerman as perd hapley. it makes no sense and yet here we are.

So I’m binge watching The Mentalist and suddenly I’m like omg how is Perd Hapley the reporter on this California station? Did he move away from Pawnee?
Quick count on IMDB and it turns out that Jay Jackson has played a reporter/news anchor 24 times.
So now in my head all 24 of those roles, listed as Reporter/News Anchor, were Perd Hapley and we’ve just watched his career as he moved from station to station. All of those shows happened in the Perd Hapley Cinematic Universe (including Battleship, The Orville and Supergirl).
BRB just have to work out the chronological viewing order for the PHCU so I can watch the whole thing…

Perd Hapley saying things like "here's some statistics and they are numbers" has the equal and opposite energy of me saying "have a day" to rude customers instead of my usual "have a nice day"
