“If men’s patriarchal fantasies dominate the landscape of sexuality, and men’s fantasies become normative and widespread, this results in women internalising men’s fantasies to feel accepted, loved and perhaps, objectified and sexualized (Willis, 1983).”

genuine question: are straight people who get drunk and kiss people of the same gender really straight? how can you feel the desire to kiss them only under the influence but not when sober? idk sounds kinda suss to me.
i say if you feel the attraction, you feel the attraction. it doesn't matter if you are drunk or sober, what changes is alcohol sets you free from society's expectations.
in my mind these can be the motivations for kissing ppl of the same gender if you are straight and drunk: 1) pandering to the male gaze, wanting to show off and make an impression (if a straight woman). 2) genuine attraction which under the influence you feel free to explore.
is there a 3) kissing in the mind of the drunk straight is the highest form of showining gratitude and appreciation? idk i'm not straight, i've never been that drunk and i'm demisexual also lol, so i can't tell.
idk can someone explain why straight ppl kiss people of the same gender when drunk?
if performative queerness is even a thing, itd be when you force yourself to purposely play up your sexuality/gender, or you feel that you have to, at least, so people around you don't think that you don't deserve your label
