Oh! Thank you for asking! The way that it works is because of their eyes. On the surface, they arent supposed to stand out because they still need to be able to blend in with humans. The way to notice is by seeing that their eyes arent shaped like a circle.
Another thing that I like keeping in mind is the official kill counts of the characters. So an AI that has gone rouge and has done violence have rectangular eyes while the ones with no violence keep their square eyes (like Darnold).
So Gordon is still a human in my version. Now Benrey... He is a complicated. He is still an AI but something feels off. :>
