Joints of Fate: A Planetary Magical Working In The Arbatel
Hi, Long time no see :D finally finished writing this booklet. My magical ritual booklet / Journal of workings with Arbatel all in one document, I think some of the writings are a bit disjointed and unorganized. I hope that it make sense and most importantly to be useful for YOU if you do decide to use it :)

Simple Clarity Spell
✨️Best done in a bath or shower. Can be done on a Monday, Friday or Saturday. Or on a full moon or a new moon.
✨️Light white (cleansing), black (protection) and pink (self love) candles.
✨️ Hold a clear quartz (clarity) in your dominant hand, hold a rose quartz (self love) in your left hand. (If your dominant hand is your left hand then hold an obsidian in your right hand, hold the clear quartz and rose quartz in your dominant)
✨️ Concentrate your energy on what you need clarity on, let the energy of the clear quartz pour through you, let it clear away any blockages that are in your way. Concentrate on the healing energy of the rose quartz and let self love flow through you. (If you are using the obsidian, it is simply for protection and grounding).
✨️When you feel like all of the blockages have been cleared (or your water has gone cold) its time to drain (stop showering) let the blockages run down the drain.
✨️ Make sure to eat something that you love and drink a warm drink afterwards!
A list of my personal weekday polytheistic correspondences for various domains and aspects.
Sunday (Sunnudagr) is for the sun, music, the arts, craftsmanship, light, daytime, rainbows, summer, the sky, the sea, beaches, deserts, divination, and prophecy.
Monday (Mánadagr) is for the moon, stars, cosmos, darkness, nighttime, winter, snow and ice, hunting, stars, dreams, nightmares, magic, doorways, and liminal spaces.
Tuesday (Tysdagr) is for warfare, the battlefield, negative emotions, revolution, rebellion, civil order, war strategy, trauma disorders, trauma recovery, and death, but also peace, treaties, and diplomacy.
Wednesday (Oðinsdagr) is for culture, commerce, language, knowledge and wisdom, trickery and mischief, textile arts, and divine psychopomps.
Thursday (Þórsdagr) is for the ancestors and for sovereignty, the hearth, the home, hospitality, marriage, justice, and the weather.
Friday (Frjádagr) is for nature, the land, the earth, fae, landvaettir, vegetation, agriculture, childbirth, sexuality, love, madness, and fertility.
Saturday (Laugardagr) is for the primordials, time, memory, seasons, youth, age, the transitional stages of life, bodies of water, purification, cleansing, health and healing, and the underworld.
The Book of Doors & Keys: A Manifestation Grimoire for 2024
Hey friends! I started working on a big art magic project recently.
I thrifted this children's board book full of fun little flaps awhile ago and my mind instantly knew I was going to do some art witchery with it. (Pictured below is an example page that's been lightly gessoed over.)
After turning over the concept and personal symbolism of doors in my mind for awhile, I hashed out this idea to create a sort of living vision board that I can add to throughout the new year (and continue to open doors when I need them). Btw, I mean living in the sense of the ability to change and build, not like a servitor or spirit vessel.
I know I want to heavily utilize imagery over words for these manifestations, for a few reasons. One, I already have a separate manifestation vessel that harbors written petitions (I call it my wishing well, I'll post about it if anyone is interested!) Two, I've been itching to dive into folkloric and personal symbolism to capture the essence of my desires in a more creative, aesthetic and visually stimulating way. And three, just look at those flap shapes! Does the flap fold up, down, left or right? Rounded or squared or another shape entirely? How big or how small is the flap, and how big or small is the manifestation that should go inside it? They're begging to be interpreted and played upon! Flaps on flaps, baby. Pockets and fold-outs and ephemera, oh my. Can you tell how much this excites me?
Anyway, here's what I came up with for a lovely lively cover. It's not exactly what I imagined when I begun, but I find it fitting nonetheless. The cover has been turned into a giant door, and the magic in opening it via the knob is surprisingly powerful. A door to many more doors, each one eagerly waiting for me to open it.
And here is the unfinished first page I began today.
There's not quite enough pages to dedicate one to each month, so I'll have to play around with the format, but the idea is that every door houses a manifestation, a feeling, a spell, an energy, a goal or result, etc. that I wish to attract and embody and integrate. The act of opening the doors and what lies inside them releases a bit of the spell's energy each time and can be used in conjunction with related spells/rituals. And of course energy can/will be added back into each door in ways that I haven't fully realized quite yet. Am I making sense? Hopefully.
More to come in the future, at least what I'm willing to share at those times. And with it, I'm sure, more rambling that will hopefully eventually flesh out a true understanding of this magic I'm creating.
The Book of Abramelin: A Review
The Book of Abramelin is a Jewish magical text that began circulating in the 15th century. The author purports to be a Jewish man named Abraham von Worms who wrote this text as a magical guide for his second son, Lamech. Abraham details his journey from Germany to Egypt and back again, during which time, Abraham meets multiple “masters” of the magical arts. One of these masters, Abramelin, he regards above all else and, indeed, he discards the others as frauds and agents of the devil after meeting Abramelin. After they meet, Abraham is taught the secrets of the hermit’s magic, which is Kabbalistic in nature, and bound in service to God. Abramelin directs him to live a good and pure life according to the will of God and Abraham agrees to this despite, as he puts it, appearing to “my friends, relatives, and other Jews as a bad and crazy person.” (P. 16) Some of the text in the book is, according to Abraham, directly from Abramelin himself, who bestowed several Kabbalistic texts upon the author before he left him.
The ritualistic magic described in the book directs the reader to purify themself in the eyes of God in order to meet their Holy Guardian Angel. By meeting the Holy Guardian Angel, the reader is then able to safely command various spirits, including the Four Kings of Hell, Lucifer, Satan, Leviathan, and Belial. The whole operation takes place over eighteen months, though this detail is not consistent across all versions seeing as the Mathers version states that the operation takes six months instead.
Unlike many magical texts of the time that I am familiar with, this one decries the use of astrology. In Chapter Six of my translation, Abraham von Worms compares consulting the “stars, sun, and moon” with asking wild game for permission to hunt it (P. 120). Despite feeling it a pointless exercise, Abraham goes on to describe how Astrologers divide the planetary hours in great detail and he does admit to believing that the stars and planets affect different things, but only in regards to earthly matters, such as the weather.
The earliest manuscripts of this text are written in German and date back to the 1600s. Having no talent for other languages and no copy of the original text, I cannot speak to the writing voice of Abraham von Worms himself or how engaging the text is. This is a translation compiled and edited by George Dehn and translated by Steven Guth. Originally, it was also written in German, but Dehn decided to create an English translation with Guth in the early 2000s. If I recall correctly, unlike Macgregor Mather’s translation, the authors of this translation decided to update the language to feel more contemporary. This makes the reading experience easier and more enjoyable overall. I sped through this book fairly quickly, at least compared to other books on similar subjects so I would give this a very positive score for readability. It is also surprisingly funny and I found myself laughing out loud at a couple of parts over the course of reading this book.
Final thoughts:
I'm not planning on enacting this operation myself. I don't really have the patience for this kind of ritual work right now and I'm also not a big believer in God. That said, I think this was a fascinating and entertaining read and I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in the Grimoire traditions of Western Ceremonial Magic. I hope to get my hands on a copy of MacGregor Mathers version so I can see the differences for myself and because I personally enjoy collecting occult books.

These are personal pages of my Grimoire.
I picked up this book because my craft needed a rebirth, and I figured I could share my journey! The book starts on January 1st, but I started my journal with today’s date: April 21st.
Today, we start off the journey by getting to know the Taurus sign. They are persevering, down-to-earth, stable. They’re dependent and prosperous. They work hard and play even harder. However, they can be stubborn, possessive. Resistant to change and self-indulgent. Overall. I love Taurus, they’re pretty loyal.
Each day as a little activity to do, and today’s is “Indulging in your earthy side. Plant something or tend to your home.” I live in an apartment and I can’t really plany anything here, but I am going to take this day to spring clean the apartment.
