Doctors I’ve Watched So Far, Ranked by How Much I’d Personally Want to Hang Out with Them.
(This is not how much I like them as characters — just who I’d actually want to grab coffee with)
S: I’d rearrange my entire week for them. Call me. Text me. I’m free.
Nine The perfect mix of grumpy and goofy. Feels like he’d take you to a weird underground rave and then walk you home, gently explaining the nuances of grief and survival on the way. Brings deep emotional conversations and terrible jokes. Protective big brother energy with a leather jacket.
Twelve I would love to hang out with him. He’s basically your grumpy-but-brilliant college professor who has intense opinions about Beethoven. Is this definitely because I spent years listening to professors give passionate lectures and loved every minute of it? Yes. I took extra classes for fun. I’m exactly the kind of unhinged that would hang out after class just to keep the discussion going. So yes, I absolutely want to spend an afternoon talking philosophy with this man.
Fifteen A walking serotonin boost. Vibes are immaculate. He radiates warmth, charisma, and unshakable confidence. I would trust him to pick my outfit, hype me up at a party, and give me life advice I didn’t know I needed.
A: Sure, let’s get drinks and trauma-bond.
Eight Literally a romantic poet disguised as a time traveler. Would take you to an interstellar opera and then lend you a first-edition book from his coat pocket. He’s dramatic in a low-key way. Might accidentally break your heart but would write you an apology letter on parchment.
Fourteen Slightly more mellow than he used to be, but still intense. Feels like hanging out with your ex who’s finally working through his issues in therapy. The conversation would be amazing, but you’d probably cry once. Still: good coffee, good trench coat.
B: Would hang out, but I’m bringing backup.
Ten Charming. Smart. So fun… until the existential dread hits mid-lunch and suddenly you're hearing about ancient wars and lost love. I’d need emotional armor just to survive coffee. Still worth it, but only if I can schedule a nap afterward. However — if he shows up with Donna? He immediately jumps to S tier or higher.
Fugitive Coolest person in the room. I would do literally anything she asked, and she wouldn’t even need to explain. Kind of intimidating, kind of awe-inspiring. Feels like she’d teach you how to throw a punch and then disappear for a year.
C: I respect you deeply, but no thank you.
War Honestly? He wouldn’t talk much. Not rude, just… quiet. Polite nods, maybe a heavy sigh now and then. You’d ask how his tea is and he’d give you a thousand-yard stare. It’s not that he’d be bad company—he just feels like someone who’s seen too much to enjoy small talk or game night.
Thirteen Sweet, funny, and chaotic—I genuinely love her, but being around her would emotionally exhaust me. I'm not an anxious person, but her constant over-explaining and second-guessing would wear me down fast. It’d feel like I’m managing someone else’s nerves the whole time. I’d knit her a scarf, though.
One Absolutely not. Feels like he’d yell at me for not knowing Latin and then expect me to rewire a spaceship. He’s the cranky grandpa you love from a distance, like, very far away. He’d call you “child” and insult your entire generation by the time you sat down. You'd try to show him your phone and he’d say something vaguely Victorian and deeply condescending. I respect him. I do not want to hang out with him.
Eleven Love him on-screen, but in person? That chaotic energy would stress me out fast. He’s either dancing with hats, rambling at 100mph, or spiraling about the weight of centuries. I’d be holding my coffee like, “Do I laugh? Do I cry? Are you okay??” Great for storytelling, maybe not for brunch. (I'll do an update when I've watched more of Classic Who)
