Still on this the day that I turn 37, I am choosing gratitude because now each year I reflect on how I am older than my dad lived to be.

I always wish my friends a happy personal new year on their birthday.

No, that isn’t a misprint. Yes, I’m well aware that we are three months into 2018. ================= My birthday is the end of February (Feb. 25th to be exact & I’m still accepting bday gifts, outings etc.), so MY new year begins in March. My “year in review” takes place the end of February. I adjust my goals in progress and/or set new ones. ================= My personal new year kicks off in March. I’ve been doing this for about five years, and it has been a game changer for me. I’m able to really focus on my personal goals and gain clarity without all the distractions of New Year’s celebrations and talk of resolutions. ================= Shortly after my personal new year begins I celebrate my second birthday (Yes, I have two birthdays).
