when i was writing my fic pomegranate seeds back in 2020, i had taken a specific standalone university course, and i mentioned this in one of my author's notes because it had given me inspiration for the fic. and this year, i am a TA for that same course. currently grading some papers for it. who would've thought.

So this situation right here has been the centerpiece of massive debate and controversy on my island right now. Literally right now as i’m writing this, the lava is inching closer and closer to it.

There are some people are saying that it’s gonna blow up in a huge nuclear-like explosion that’s gonna cause a massive landslide with half this entire district falling into the ocean triggering a massive Pacific wide tsunami (which I think is total BS and just pure fearmongering), then there are other people saying absolutely nothing is gonna happen and it’s just gonna burn down like any other building would.

I honestly think there’s gonna be some sort of explosion, but nothing big. The amount of conspiracy theorists that are causing a panic over this situation is really annoying.

We’ll just have to wait and see.
