Yeah, I've encountered similar situation. Upon inspection, apparently the image in the photoset is set to object-fit cover - this one is set by default. If you go to my Theme 13's code, search for npf_row and copy the said code. Hopefully, that will help.

​Thanks! I've already implemented a similar fix on a couple of my themes, and it does do the trick. My issue is that when multiple photos of different sizes are in a row, it looks... pretty bad. Here's a sample from my current theme, take a look at that last row of images.

I do prefer the object-fit:contain; fix overall, but it bugs the absolute hell out of me that all images crop in even when there's no need to. One image filling the entire width of the post should not need to chop off the edges. Nor should a properly sized photoset.

My best theory is that it's a mismatch between the dash being 540px wide and most of my themes only being 500px wide? But I really don't know.

Either way, I really do appreciate the reply 💞 and I love your themes, by the way. You've got a very distinct style that I enjoy.

Hey Ces! Saw your tag saying that you are pressured bc at the age of almost 25, you've yet to attain any degree. Just wanna say that it's alright to take your time! I had a friend who finished her law degree at the age of 29 and a friend of mine, aged late 20s who has yet to finish her law degree. I also witness a few friends who dropped their degree midway just so that they can continue studying the degree that they want. What I'm trying to say is, it's alright if your pace in attaining a degree is slower than others, bc at the end of the day, you are the one who dictates your own life and believe it or not, there are a lot of people who obtains their degree late and it is perfectly alright to do so!

And you're right: It's okay even if I obtain my degree in a later date.

Yes, and single images will crop too. Here's some samples.

All five icons here should be display fully, but the first and last ones are cut off.

And for these theme preview images, you can see the sidebar images on the left are cropped a little, as are the Tumblr controls and my theme credit on the right.

It only seems to crop the sides -- the top and bottom are always fine.

Also @phantasyreign I will try that NPF fixer you linked and see what that does. Thank you!

my advice is: it's going to be difficult at times, but if it's something you enjoy and enjoy doing, don't give up! recognition may take a while to come, but eventually it arrives :))
