Another review hit far out of the park. And on a side note, who looks at this thumbnail and wants to see a ship between Spongebob and Jessica Rabbit? Anyway, he's right, even the stinkers have something to admire. And the best have you come back and believe again and again. Which reminds me, Hollywood is still trying to sequelize Roger Rabbit. While I like that idea, I'd rather see a movie about that same concept but in a modern setting. Just imagine the cartoons of all styles and genres mixing together! Traditional, CGI, stop motion, kid friendly, adults only, movies, TV, classics, stinkers, everything and everywhere. And with all those cartoons, imagine how big, creative and insane Toon Town would be! It would most likely be a Toon Nation! But Roger Rabbit had to deal with three copyrights to make the movie work, and that's a big hassle. God knows how many copyrights they'd have to deal with today. Off the top of my head there's Disney, Cartoon Network, Nick, DreamWorks, Pixar, Laika, Blue Sky, Illumination, Warner Brothers, Sony, Fox, and not to mention a clutter of smaller companies so we can get rights for, say, Sausage Party, South Park, Bojack Horseman and etc. But then again, the focus could be on the cartoon characters, like we see them in their off time behind the scenes, and we see what happens when kiddie cartoons interact with adult cartoons. It could be a slice of Hollywood life character study where we see how innocent kid cartoons handle the darkness of reality, while adult cartoons find the silver lining of life. Now I REALLY wanna see this idea!! But again, the copyrights would be a mess that would keep this dream in development hell.
