Prompt 7 - Chair

Previous part First part

Regulus and Peter crouched behind Dumbledore’s chair in the Great Hall. They had risen early and snuck downstairs as Midnight and Wormtail; the cat playfully chasing the rat for part of the way until the tables turned and Wormtail took his revenge. 

“I think I’ve almost… Got it!” Peter whooped quietly as the little parcel melted from sight. 

“Brilliant, Peter, now do the other 300,” Regulus said dryly, moving onto his fifth chair. Peter stuck his tongue out at him, and Regulus gave him a look which sent Peter scurrying over to the other side of the hall. 

It took them two hours to get every single package secured and hidden from view. They quickly transformed into Midnight and Wormtail again as the first few students drifted in for their breakfasts. 

“Eek! A rat!” One boy screamed as Wormtail shot through his legs, chased by Midnight. They raced to their first meeting place, where Sirius was waiting for them for the next stage of the prank. Regulus just hoped that everything in the Great Hall went off without a hitch.
