I have such an affinity for natural feathers! I’ve been collecting them since I was a little kid- my first science fair project in elementary school was a poster board where I pined up my feather collection and identified the birds and location on the body that each feather came from based on the color and shape of the feathers. I’m grown up now but my love of feathers is still strong! I’ve got lots of new lovely #naturalfeather earrings listed in the shop! Made from wild turkey and pheasant feathers that I have ethically collected from birds that were found dead in nature. I put a ton of care into individually shampooing and drying each one and finding the best matching sets in the natural variations of the feather’s patterns and colors before I assemble the jewelry with my handmade glass beads. Its a labor of love because I so enjoy looking closely at the painterly patterns and subtle iridescent colors that nature had created! My customers can feel good about wearing my #featherjewelry as well knowing the feathers are #sustainable and #crueltyfree This pair is my current favorite for its hints of teal in the reflective colors and all the fun fluff that I choose to leave at the top of this pair.
