Awesome road trip to our family farm for cousin Bekah's wedding with bonus of seeing our best friends for the first time since they moved to CO.
Phia designed her own suit outfit from a suit she and mommy found at goodwill for $7.50 and looked amazing. She was the star of the dance floor and "an adult" told her that "she wanted to be me when she grows up."
Phia conived her way into getting me to ride bikes over to the old dock with her while Orion was still napping. I wanted to wait until he woke up to go but she wanted to go now so she tried sneak and go by herself. I caught her and instead of punishing her I just decided to go ahead and take her. We went and got back just Orion was waking up. I feel like letting her get away with being so sneaky isn't good but also she was kind of right. If we had waited we would probably never have gone.
Phia 9yo: I farted. Can you smell it?
Orion 2yo: Yeah, I can. It's horible.
Y'all, I have to brag on my daughter. She’s only 8 so her perspective is still developing but she brought me this and said “I don’t know if it was supposed to be but it could be kind of a Pride painting” and after I confirmed for her that “Pride” is about LGBTQ+ she told us “I really admire people who just date anybody because they think they’re nice.”
