Gloria Gudlucks in "Date Book"

In the next decade, Cheryl Blossom would be erased out of existence and replaced with Ginger Lopez. For a time. And here we come to find out that turnabout is fair play, for Cheryl Blossom's reemergence in the mid-90s resulted in the deletion of one Gloria Gudlucks. And who the Heck is Gloria Gudlucks? Second hand, we got this.

Another one of Archie's many flames. Mentioned one time as Betty and Veronica discussed what a piece of trash Archie Andrews is in Betty's Diary number 30. But do we have any indication of what she might look like? Well, in the far flung mulleted and primped future of Archie 3000, she shows her face. So, from this one appearance, and the cortortions made in the Archie 3000 and by non customary cartoonist Chris Allen, we might be able to extrapolate to what Dan Decarlo's and Bob Bollng's renditions of her might look like.

And. That's it. If Gloria Gudlucks is anywhere else to be found, feel free to point it out to me. The one thing these three stories all have in common is that they were penned by Kathleen Webb, meaning that Gloria Gudlucks is a part of the Kathleen Webb Archie-verse, if no one else's. If Kathleen Webb had any plans for this Gloria Gudlucks, they had gotten squashed by Cheryl Blossom.

Of course, it is possible that Kathleen Webb plucked up a character and name from the annals from some other Archie writer. She did that with Veronica's second cousin Pamela. Though, aged four or five years as the Riverdale teenagers remained the same age through a fourteen year publishing span. Time works oddly out in Riverdale.

So superficial and not even funny, just plain unethical and absurd philandering among servants imitating their masters. The game ends badly and the philanderer is the game of the hunt. And the game always ends up dead for the pleasure of the hunters, even if it is a human being. Who cares!
