Aesthetics, Nostalgia & The End of the Piscean Age:

The fascination, even fixation, on aesthetics (such as webcore, Y2Kcore, vapourwave, mallsoft, etc) of nostalgia and idealised imagery evocative of a world that once appeared to still have soul (Such as pre-Y2K for Millennials or the 00s for Gen Z) are the dying gasp of a Piscean aeon. Pisces, sign of dreams and ideals (but also endings), perfectly encapsulates the bittersweetness of nostalgia found in both recollection of 'better times' and idealisation of the past as well as memory and imagination. In terms of the cycle of life, Pisces is also said to represent old age, specifically the time just before death; A life flashing before one's eyes or the soon-to-be departed spending their remaining days in quiet reflection.

Hi y’all! I’m Kendall, a newbie here to join the sudyblr community! I used to be a part of a little studyblr bubble back in my sophomore year of high school, and fell out of it, but have decided to pick back up!  In light of the whole COVID-19 debacle, I’ve found it very hard to stay on motivated and with the semester coming to an end at the end of the month, I need to step up my game. I remember this community being incredibly welcoming and encouraging, which is something I could really use right now!

aspiring philosophy grad student

i’m looking to eventually go into ideally becoming a college professor, seeing as philosophy is a typically pale dominated field, but would be very happy teaching classics in jesuit primary schools!

The entropy of HUMAN

There is this concept in physics.. entropy..

It tells us that every system will approach to a disordered state.

Have you ever wondered why or how a species like humans ever evolved??

We have such a specialised form of tissues and organ system and most importantly a brain all this should work in a correct order and a specific way to keep us alive. It just seems to disobey this concept of physics

But there is one side that we seem to overlook.. the human nature.

Distortion and to destroy comes with us. Wherever we go, the greed comes with us, this has already destroyed our planet and no matter on what Mars we go, we will ultimately destroy and then again start hopping from one planet to other.

The HUMAN species can survive but it can’t coexist..

I don’t know where this trait come maybe instilled in us by the universe to maintain its disorder.

The chaos.. disorder and destruction is the sole purpose the human is build for

Hi there, tumblr, it’s been a while.

Yesterday I got a nice “sorry you didn’t get the job you thought was gonna be The One” bouquet and chocolates from Tim, since he feels bad he was/is visiting his college pals in Switzerland when the news came. More on all that later, but I thought I’d kick off this blog-cum-processing journal with a positive post.
