not to be kinda negative here, however I do hope Tubbo forces Philza to choose a faction soon. cus it does feel bm to just stay as purple and cheat your way out of the tasks. he's been live on the server twice now since the factions have been implemented, has been informed about them and even helped the fools kingdom with the clay task.

I get he wants to be a hired woodsman kind of guy who isn't completely loyal but thats literally what the blue faction is all about. being neutral.

there are no consequences for staying purple because no one is supposed to stay purple. i get the other members, who haven't logged in since then, staying purple, but thats pretty understandable why.

even if its about the material fetching, he technically wouldn't need to help since the people in the factions are doing a pretty good job in completing them on their own just fine rn.

Dream: don't watch and don't know what he's doing

Callahan: don't watch but to be fair, i don't think he ever made content

Alyssa: i loved her in the early dsmp, but she disappeared very quickly and i haven't seen her since. i don't think she does content creation anymore (or ever really did)

Ponk: i LOVE ponk. he's the best. he streams very inconsistently and only ever once every few months, but there's no one else i'd rather watch. he's so funny and his streams have amazing vibes. also he's one of the only normal people that ever came out of this smp. he's very underrated and he deserves all the success in the world if he ever decides to take content creation as a full time thing again.

BadBoyHalo: i liked him a lot more back when he was in the dsmp. i like him and his content, but it's just so hard to keep up with him now. smps have stuck with the "stream all the time" schedule, but we as viewers don't have a "watch all the time" schedule anymore-- so i'd tune in and things would be SO different from the last stream. he grinds a lot, but because of that, it's difficult to be a casual viewer of him. to his credit, i don't really think that was ever his fault. it was mostly smp management that made him hard to watch. nowadays, it's super difficult to hop into streams without a large amount of context. now, here comes the drama. apparently he still associates with the dream team. the last time i checked in he still did, but if that's changed in the past couple months idk. it's very normal that ccs have picked sides, namely three ish. there's the dream side, the quackity side, and then the tommy/tubbo side. frankly, the tommy/tubbo and quackity one blend together in most cases. bbh hasn't PICKED a side. he still associates with everyone. people are very very defensive on either side. he has somehow managed to keep up with all three sides. do i think he should choose one? no, not really--but MANY people disagree. as far as i'm concerned, it's IMPRESSIVE that he's able to stay chill with all three. bro gotta be playing some 3d chess to keep that up. he's never been involved in any of the drama and mainly does his own thing while meshing well with any group he's in, so i don't find it surprising. i really don't gaf about him picking sides. at the end of the day, not picking one has miraculously worked out for him. if it hadn't, it would be VERY obvious. so as long as it works out for all sides, i don't see any push to pick. if quackity, dream, or tommy/tubbo were forcing him to pick we would see that disassociation, but that just hasn't happened. personality wise, i enjoy him. some people find him overly annoying or childish. i think he's alright. there's been some criticism like when he invited someone that wasn't liked to an among us lobby, but tbh that felt more like just miscommunication to me, everyone's fighting so often so i can see why it's easy to get confused on who's okay with who.

TommyInnit: i still watch him. he has potential, but ever since the big controversies that left him sorta dwindling in the friend department, he's been less entertaining. i mean-- how can one be expected to make a ton of content if all your content buddies are gone? he's continued to carry on on his own--which i'm thankful for--but he doesn't have that same spark. he often makes meh content and not so great decisions, but i have faith that maybe one day he can become fun again. depression really gets you. i can give him a break.

Tubbo: sometimes i'll tune into a stream, but they're kinda just confusing now. i feel like the only way that they're enjoyable is if you're a diehard tubbling. aside from that, be prepared to be always a LITTLE confused. i do, however, love his youtube videos and especially irl videos. i also really enjoy his setup tours. i'm a big techie kind of person myself and it's awesome to hear someone talk electronics ad specs. the subbathons are great, but i can never seem to catch them at the right time. i still keep up with him, though!

Wilbur Soot: i keep up with him somewhat loosley. but actively. i find the path that he's going in interesting to say the least. i can't really find another word to describe this man's progression. as for my mandatory side pick, i believe shubble. but then again, you can make your own decisions. shubble is 100% my girl and i believe her, but if you don't, i don't really care. make your own decisions. i'm all for free thought. just be sure that they're YOUR thoughts-- not something you've regurgitated, not thought of on your own, or feel pressured to think. and for the love of god, do your own research and watch some shubble before you go defending him. this man ain't your divine leader. don't just automatically have the same opinions as your friends. i only respect people that can think for themselves. an opinion formed by your own head will always be more valuable and respectable than one made with haste or one-sided thinking. don't fall into either one of the extremes. that does you no good.

anyway as for a review on him, let's start with the music. it takes a lot of inspiration from the typical indie rock bands. los campanisos (idfk how to spell it but you get the idea), the front bottoms, two door cinema club, arctic monkeys, good kid, etc. if you don't wanna listen to him, listen to those. his music in general--to me at least-- is good! it's well produced, well written, and goes insanely hard on the instrumentals. amazing if you love electric guitar, synths, and drums. selling-wise? they're sorta flopping. but they're rebuilding. the lovejoy reputation will always be tainted, but lots of bands have recovered from similar situations so who knows how that'll go. VIDEOS! his new content is well-made and well-researched. it's mainly informational with sarcastic commentary. if you're not a nerd then you won't like it, though. it's just a whole lot of history right now. his fandom? actually fucking crazy. they're DIEHARD. not in a loyal way, but in a scarily sexual way. they're creepy as shit. there's basically zero shame for any of them. if you want to be entertained for a week, make an twitter account and take a look at it. your jaw will drop.

JSchlatt: i watch him and think he's funny. although i will say, i sorta just watch his stuff if it comes up. i don't go actively looking for it. i watched him rate different kinds of chips at 3 am one night before school. would recommend the experience. that tier list spoke to my soul. as far as his more creative videos go, they've definitely upped in quality. he's taking them in a great direction. the last ones i watched were 1.) the nyc thing with tom, and 2.) him renting out a hotel and making a short story with actors/his friends. it was giving wolf of wallstreet, but in a good way. i missed his dynamic with minx, but they're off in different directions now.

Eret: don't watch and don't know what he's doing

Jack Manifold: i see him pretty often, but not on purpose. i don't go out of my way to watch him but he's everywhere. he's in the SUIT podcast and he tends to sometimes be more likeable than tom when tom won't let go of something.

i liked his grocery shopping video. i'm a huge sucker for irl content and vlogs.

as a creator to watch on purpose? not my thing. i don't catch his streams because i find him boring. him and niki (very obviously) dated for a while but i do feel like his eyes were elsewhere even since before they broke up. i'm on team niki here, but i don't really care.

Nihachu: i loved watching her. she was the sweetest and it was so sad to watch her kindness be taken advantage of so often and for her to be treated so bad.

i sorta lost track of her after her and jack broke up because she left the internet for a while. she dresses goth now which is a very different look, but a good one. she dated some musician for a while and i wasn't too enthusiastic about it (it wasnt wilbur it was just some other dude idfk). didn't seem like a good choice. as for how she is now? ...idk if i fuck with her anymore. she's kind on streams and i can still somewhat see the remains of early niki there, but she's someone different now. people grow and change, but she's changed a little too much for me to continue to enjoy her. i see people calling her the typical la influencer now and lowkey yeah. she's lost her down to earth nature and very much lives in a different world now. her merch prices are ridiculous. she talks shit about her fandom often but expects them to fund her lifestyle even despite dissapearing for largeeeee amounts of time and only showing us effort maybe three times a year??? i feel like she seriously needs to consider what her path is gonna be because as much as i like her, i don't know what the hell is going on with her. people won't support you forever if you barely interact with them. it looks like she's coming back now, though? she doesn't seem open to criticism at ALL which is a definite weakness, but it's her life ig

Quackity: too corporate. he's lost nearly all of his charm. qsmp went south quickly because it was ultimitley a cool project but much too large too quickly. there weren't enough resources to ensure it went smoothly. and the story never really progressed. nowadays he hypes his audience up for weeks on end just to announce a whole lot of nothing. lots of buzzwords and hype for what is ultimately boring and nothing of note. i wish he would try hard again instead of piggybacking off of the fact that he has a large audience. yeah tons of people watch, but you're feeding them content that isn't worth watching. you can't just say "THIS IS THE BIGGEST THING I'VE EVER DONE!!!" with a vine boom and a parade and then serve us the most mid news ever.

Karl Jacobs: isn't he still in the mr beast machine??? he should leave that. he was incredibly entertaining and had some of the most potential out of EVERYBODY! tales of the smp? chef's kiss. his content was new, exciting, colorful, and he had great storytelling. he's worth more than just being on the dsmp, feastables, mr beast burger, etc. he can get a genuine youtube career if he gets back to it. aside from contracts or whatever, i can't imagine why he just left that behind.

Ranboo: not my cup of tea. he was fun to watch as a side character, but he wasn't ever my main. i tuned back in a few months ago and he was doing gooner content or something??? i don't know what's going on there but i think he's off in a different direction that isn't my taste. every time i joined his streams he would be ranting about his old audience. literally every time. hope he recovers ig??? i think he's happy with what he's doing now but idfk LOVED his genloss content tho. amazing ideas, soundtrack, execution, awesome!!!

Foolish Gamers: he's funny. i like him. i don't keep up with him, though, because his characters are soooo detailed and need hella context to understand in smps.

Hannahxxrose: i know that she's doing stuff and i think she's doing well, but i only ever hear about her every once in a while and don't actively tune in

Slimecicle: never my cup of tea. i think he played up trying to be "RANDOM!! XDDD SLIME!!! GOOP!!!" too much and it just became cringe.

Michaelmcchill: i never got into him and don't really know him

Awesamdude: i LOVEDDDDD him. him and ponk were my mains. haven't heard from him in a while. heard he stole some redstone from hermitcraft which was a wild crossover for me as someone who watches both 😭 haven't seen him make content lately. ik he still associates with dt but i think he sorta had to to keep SOME kind of audience. he didn't really CREATE content the way others did. he helped, he streamed, but he wasn't out here making videos. he was a support role at best. heard he's married now. that's cool! super duper surprising--but hey! good on you! i'd like to hear if his "code for the kids" program ever got off the ground (i don't think it did), but i think it was abandoned alongside content creation.

Hello, hello! The Ghostie with the penchant for long rambling walls of text here to give her unwarranted two cents on the current disagreement between the Tubblings and the Crows!

I'm offering my take as a purely unbiased outsider

(Yes, us Ghosties may be married to the Tubblings but when I first joined the Qsmp Fandom I was a Crow and a Crow only, before I died and became a Ghostie. Thus, while I like both qTubbo and qPhil I don't watch either of them often, ergo unbiased :D )

who has no real reason to attempt to villainise or place either character on a pedestal because to put it bluntly, they are not my cubito.

Without further ado I will begin my ramble.

Today's ramble of course comes with the disclaimer that with me not being a qTubbo or qPhil main there may be areas of their character that I'm not aware of since I don't watch every single one of their streams! Feel free to correct me on literally anything you think I've mischaracterized about your main just please be understanding that nothing is done with malicious intent! :)

I'm not attempting to paint either character as a villain in this ramble, I'm just publishing this in hopes to allow each community to understand that neither cubito is perfect and that's okay!

Okay! For anyone missing context; the current disagreement began when Tubblings expressed feeling happy that Chay was able to be a kid around qTubbo as opposed to being serious with qPhil then the Crows reminded the Tubblings that qTubbo is also attributing to Chay's hero complex through him acting as Chay's egg and asking Chay to protect him. Which has caused both sides to instinctively protect their cubito and is causing arguments within their communities.

As a Ghostie who is more than willing to write 1000 words to raise awareness, and is frankly sick of infighting within the QSMP fandom (it's why I left twitter, please don't bring it here 🫠) I figured I'd try to help 'squash the beef' if you will.

Polite discussions about cubito conflict is fine, going for each other's throats over character takes...yeah let's not do that! :D

Firstly, everyone has to recognize that Chayanne has an almost toxic hero complex. He's had it since the beginning of the server and while neither qPhil or qTubbo is doing it on purpose they are BOTH feeding into it!

He has an overwhelming urge to protect others with no regard for his own safety or wellbeing at times. In the beginning it only extended to eggs. As the older sibling he had a sense of responsibility over them, which was cute! But now it's borderline toxic although it's become so normalized as such a core part of Chayanne's character that no one recognizes it's no longer a healthy mindset.

Now Tubblings can make the defense that qTubbo isn't being entirely serious or that he doesn't truly expect Chay to put his life on the line for him but I watched him look Chayanne in the eyes and BLAME HIM FOR NOT PROTECTING 'HIS EGG'.

Even if that was immediately reincarnated qTubbo who was a little fucked up in the head, even if he no longer fully blames him, even if qTubbo was joking at the time, he looked that kid dead in the eyes and told him it was his fault. Tell me again how qTubbo isn't unintentionally feeding his complex?

Yes qTubbo allows Chay a more carefree space away from his overwhelming need to protect his younger sister and a space to be more relaxed.

Yes qTubbo is joking about a lot of things and a lot of the out of pocket shit he says isn't intended to be taken completely seriously.

BUT you cannot fully disagree with the Crows when they say that qTubbo feeds the complex too. BECAUSE HE DOES, JUST NOT ON PURPOSE THE SAME AS qPHIL!

qPhil is so used to his son being the strong warrior that he doesn't realize that that character trait is actively damaging his son's mental state. His attention is divided between Chay and Tallulah and since Tallulah is more open to talking about her issues he often isn't as attentive to Chay.

Is that a bad thing? Yes!

Is it intentional on qPhil's part? No!

Is it something the Crows need to recognize that qPhil does which unintentionally allows his son to continue to struggle with his hero complex? Yes!

qPhil loves his son unconditionally AND qPhil feeds Chayanne's hero complex are two statements that can and do coexist

qTubbo let's Chay be more of a child AND qTubbo feeds Chayanne's hero complex are two statements that can and do coexist

And as long as both the Crows and Tubblings are willing to understand that neither cubito is perfect and THERE'S NO USE FIGHTING OVER PIXELS then we're good!

regarding your recent reblog, as a frequent philza watcher, i didn't even make the connection that, yes, he keeps brushing off 95% of the realm's lore, all while constantly making references to previous servers he's been on in some fashion, which is certainly, uh, a choice. whether it's comparing it to stuff on the server (when, even though I understand his reaction, it'd be stupid to assume only qsmp had small npc companions or creepy eye entities in the sky), or for example, when he suggested to sneeg (mostly not serious, but still) about pretending to be o!phil in sneeg's mind while sneeg is on the realm and phil was just in a call with him. even sneeg was like "bro wants to do lore but not do lore wth"--again, he wasn't being seriously accusatory, but I still felt that because seriously!?!?

idk, he doesn't have to have his own lore on the server, most fans don't mind. just maybe, idk, don't be a dick about the lore on the server you're currently in? if you're in a server like the realm and you wanna interact with people, you gotta accept that maybe, just maybe, you're gonna play a 'character' (even if said character doesn't have lore) that interacts with some server lore and just play off of what happens; that's kind of a given in a server like this?? trying to ignore it all is both nearly impossible and just going to make you come across like a dick.

sorry about the wall of text. my feelings on this have been building up the past few weeks. i love my streamer but realm streams have been unbearable. and i really really hope that changes soon.

While I cant speak on his streams, nor can I give an indepth analysis of his actions I feel validated hearing that a lot of Phil viewers are sharing my feelings. I don't hate streamer and enjoy his content and his interactions with my streamer(s), but it's a little disheartening? Frustrating? To hear all of the hard work people are putting in be brushed off with a simple "I ain't doing that shit" and the like.

I don't even want him to play a character, truly I couldn't give less of a fuck what streamer does as I don't watch him. What I, and seemingly a lot of other people, want is for him to stop unkindly dismissing the work people are putting in to make a fun story. I get being burnt out from it, I get not wanting to engage! I'm happy he's setting boundaries about what he does and does not want to do.

I even think it's okay to reference other servers/lore, and even I think it's okay to compare them critically as critical comparison and criticism (how many times can i say a word with "crit" in it) are healthy and necessary to make a server flow properly, but not so much when it comes to people's story telling and the thing that they are ultimately having fun doing!

In the end my opinion doesn't really matter, and I prefer not to be engaged in drama I have no real standing in. But I sympathize with you! I'm a firm believer that if anyone in the server cc wise has an actual issue with it that it will be handled privately and that's all I really care about ^^

I won’t get too into the reasons why I’m not comfortable with how phil’s been treating the realm lore (I fear it may be a bit parasocial and I’d rather not talk about that publically), but yeah, the way he was instigating sneeg to just break the crying obsidian felt like BM to me. either interact with the lore and accept that you interacting with it is lore or ignore it and do your chopping. especially when the crying obsidian showing up is unobtrusive to him.

(also, not to mention, whether he likes it or not- him being on the server I would say still counts as lore. like, it’s the same argument that people have had about the lore on smplive or off-shoots of that - tr!phil exists in that he doesn’t care about factions, he spends a lot of time with tr!sneeg, and he does care/want to help people on the server. that’s him just hanging out but it can also be used for his character. there’s no established “lore” development compared to tr!aimsey or tr!pili for example, but it’s still there. so I don’t appreciate him disregarding the overall server lore the way he has recently.

but that is just my opinion and how I view smps/mcyt rp. everybody is entitled to their own opinion on the matter.)
