I love Vampires SMP so far, but there is definitely some unchecked ableism in the way they talk. Especially when it comes to mental health.

It would be one thing if they were *accurately* roleplaying what people acted like in those times. But they aren't.

We don't even know the time period this is part of.

But just. Them throwing around the term psychosis was... not great from someone who experiences symptoms of psychosis.

I know it's very on the spot. But I just think they could have gotten more creative with what's going on or *something* other than that.

not to be kinda negative here, however I do hope Tubbo forces Philza to choose a faction soon. cus it does feel bm to just stay as purple and cheat your way out of the tasks. he's been live on the server twice now since the factions have been implemented, has been informed about them and even helped the fools kingdom with the clay task.

I get he wants to be a hired woodsman kind of guy who isn't completely loyal but thats literally what the blue faction is all about. being neutral.

there are no consequences for staying purple because no one is supposed to stay purple. i get the other members, who haven't logged in since then, staying purple, but thats pretty understandable why.

even if its about the material fetching, he technically wouldn't need to help since the people in the factions are doing a pretty good job in completing them on their own just fine rn.

Sorry if this is like. Really rude but theyre not gonna see this so. A lot of cc's really, really want to be crimeboys. They want to be 2020 crimeboys and they want to have the same rp vibe and the same impact on both the fandom and the story and they want to do it all by themselves but they are not crimeboys, they're not Tommy and Wilbur, and they don't want to put in the same amount of work that Tommy and Wilbur did towards their stories.

Fr if the dsmp does a reboot? I think I will actually be upset. The issue has never been with the dsmp going stale, and while I'm not going to go ahead and write the three main points on why the dsmp has been going down like a sinking ship since January 2021, I'm definitely going to say this is not the way to do it.

A reboot might lift up the server for the first month, but what do you think it's going to do really? Fix two years of broken story with creators who lack enough communication to even make time for one in-character stream in six months??? Forgive me for being testy about this but it's quite possible the stupidest most naive idea I've heard since the osmp reboot.

The (summarized) issue with the dsmp is everyone wants to be the next animatic, the next huge lore stream, without understanding why the dsmp was fun in the first place. You want to fix the dsmp? Get rid of the concept of lore and make a fucking fish currency or something instead of trying to make people care about your character without doing any work for it, gottamn.

This is very minor on the list of things, but I hate how Dream can ghost other ccs and sit on his ass not breathing a word about lore for months, but the instant a cc mentions how hard it's been for them to do lore he immediately pops up and does a stream. Like we get it, Dream, you don't care about dsmp lore except when you get called out for ghosting and being a bad admin and you have to protect your reputation. Just admit it.

This isn’t a dream only problem, though i do agree he is a very big part of the problem.

The reason the dsmp is dying is bc there is no proper structure to it, the communication is really poorly done, most ccs are not up to date on other ccs lore and they keep retconning shit. 

Instead of taking responsilibility they just try to make “last efforts” to revive it, without any planning, any communication etc. 

Resetting it isn’t going to save it, neither will doing lore streams after getting called out for letting it die.

The dsmp has been dying for a while, but i think the damage control stream during the manatreed situation with sapnap was the last nail in the coffin.
