So I have a question: Where is Phoe Phoe?
I'm now worried that she's been used to help omplete the ritual to bring the spirits of the dead back to Xadia.

Modern headcanons?
Yesssss so many!
Callum, Ezran, Soren and Claudia go to the same school while Rayla goes to a private school. The reason why they all know each other is because their schools face each other a lot in sports
Viren owns a coffee shop and lets Claudia make funky names for the drinks and snacks
Callum literally has art supplies in his backpack at all times
Claudia and Rayla are actually best friends. Claudia brings positivity to Rayla when she’s going through hard times and Rayla is always there for Claudia when she wants to talk about her family
Callum met Rayla on the bleachers at one of the football games. He saw her yelling swears at the referee and he was both intimidated but intrigued by her
Ezran gets bullied on by other kids which causes Claudia to be his bodyguard. Whenever kids try to mess with them, she freaks them out with her weird facial expressions and quirky tactics
Soren pressures himself to be good at any sport so he can seek the approval of his father
Claudia loves books about astrology and tells everyone their horoscopes
Amaya is the volleyball coach of the Katolis Banthers and Janai is the volleyball coach of the Xadian Phoenixes
Gren is Katolis High’s guidance counselor and is the cheerleading coach
Viren only works at Katolis High as a substitute teacher due to the fact he owns a shop. All the students except his children and Harrow’s kids refer to him as Lord Virus
Viren has a greenhouse in the back of his house where he keeps his butterflies and garden
Ethari is the workshop teacher at Xadia High
Lujanne is the art teacher at Xadia High, and is known to bring her pet silkie chicken Phoe Phoe into work
When Ezran heard the sophomores and juniors were dissecting animals in biology class, he replaced the animals with socks and gave the all the animals a proper funeral in the field of Katolis High
Runaan is football coach of the Xadian Dragons and Corvus is football coach of the Katolis Knights
Opeli is Katolis High’s history teacher
Harrow is Katolis High’s principal who always tells embarrassing dad jokes to the students and fist bumps them
Claudia’s clothing style is a mix between prep and goth
Rayla adores wearing graphic tees and hoodies, which means she absolutely loathes her school uniform
The kids always meet up at Viren’s coffe shop after school
Soren, Claudia, and Ezran have tried multiple times to get Rayla and Callum together
Even though the end of through the moon being extremely sad, we got a comic with a lot of rayllum content being the cutest thing, that’s why I have hope that they will get back together, or so what’s the point of making so much rayllum content in a comic?
Phoe-Phoe - Moon Phoenix (TDP Pixel Fanart)
Still a WIP... might also change some of the colors. Sorry Phoe-Phoe 😅
My piece for the @dragon-prince-zine , featuring Lujanne and Phoe Phoe! I love starry and galaxy themed stuff and birbs, so she was the perfect choice for me <3
Young(er) Lujanne is so beautiful...

What did you mean that Callum's sky arcanum is making him stronger?
Thanks for bringing this up, anon!
I presume you’re referring to this little bit that I wrote here:
As a side note, there may even be hints that his connection to the Sky Primal may be subtly affecting his range of physical abilities. We already know that the Moon Primal can increase the physical strength of the creatures connected to it (Viren notes that Moonshadow elves’ power increase depending on the phase of the moon, while Ez mentions that Phoe-Phoe drew her strength from the Moon Nexus). And it’s doubtful that he would have been able to scale trees or Amblers earlier in the series. Right now, that’s just a guess, but who knows?
Here’s what I mean–we know that magical creatures are born connected to a Primal Source (through something called an arcanum). However, this is more than just an internal resource that a mage can use for spells; it’s also used for other forms of magic (Rayla, for instance, can use it to become invisible under the light of the full moon). This much is certain.
But what I’d argue is that a Primal Source also affects a creature’s physical potential and physical strength as well. It’s subtle, and not enough to grant super-strength on its own, but it’s there.
Viren seems to be suggesting this to his children:
Now, the thing is, drawing power from a Primal Source is one thing, but it’s not the end-all-be-all in terms of physical abilities. It may suggest why Moonshadow elves in particular make for such great assassins, but even with a head start these elves have to hone their skills.
Rayla, for instance, had to train for years to get to the point she’s at now. That’s always going to be the majority of the reason why she is such a great fighter. However, when Moon Primal Energy is present, it does give her an advantage.
That’s why when she fights Soren, she fares far better when they fight in the Moon Nexus.
Than when she fights him again in broad daylight.
Ezran, in fact, spells this out much more clearly with Phoe-Phoe:
So, a magical creature’s physical prowess–speed, strength, and stamina–are all impacted in some way by the presence of that creature’s Primal Source.
This is true for elves too, and it seems to be true for Callum as well. I talk about the various physical activities he has to do in Xadia here, such as climbing trees or scaling an Ambler’s leg. He struggles, and he’s not as adept as Rayla…but he’s still able to do it. And the thing is, these aren’t easy things to do–climbing up what Callum called “the largest tree in the world” with nothing but Rayla’s hook is pretty damn hard. I don’t think I could do it even if I was in great athletic shape! It could just be fantasy logic, but I suspect that his connection to the Sky has increased his physical abilities somewhat. Not enough to make him superhuman, but certainly enough to notice.
In another scene, the trio is climbing up the Storm Spire, and while Callum is bringing up the rear at the beginning:
He’s somehow not only kept up with Rayla’s pace but even overtaken her. And it is then Rayla who suggests the group take a break and rest.
Since we found out from Justin and Aaron that the Storm Spire is the Sky Nexus, this all makes sense–Callum was in his element, which was helping him along even if he didn’t notice it.
Now, he’s still human and, well, Callum. By itself, this wouldn't suddenly make him into a star athlete. But his Sky Arcanum helps broaden and increase the range of what he can do physically. And it’s going to be pretty useful for him moving forward as well, since his mage training will probably be physically strenuous. @kuno-chan made an interesting observation here that flying is not a muscle-free activity, and so Callum will have to adjust to these athletic demands. Thankfully, with his Arcanum giving him a helping hand, he seems to be ideally suited for this kind of training.
Dragon Prince Theory
I think Phoe-Phoe is gonna need like an Eclipse or something to be reborn
Like she can only be reborn during an eclipse but it has to be done by a moon mage with a special spell
Which is why phoenixes are considered rare, someone has to be present when they die to collect their last feather so a mage can use it to preform the spell to revive them
.....think of how many phoenixes died alone knowing there was a very large chance no one would ever find their feather 😭
This gives Callum a good reason to learn the moon arcanum
