First post for Per Infernum Ad Astra! I feel like to properly introduce this world the easiest place to start would be it's respective species and their place in the larger ecosystem of the universe.
I'm still working out what to include and what to leave ambiguous for now, and I should clarify that this universe and its contents are still very much a WIP, and elements are subject to change as things further develop into what I'm envisioning here. However, I feel like it's developed enough for me to start putting it out there to hopefully hold myself a little more accountable to working on it.
I'd explain the universe this takes place in as an alternate-history form of earth. A lot of core principles are the same but a lot of things will be very different--I think that will make itself apparent as I put more down here.
annnyways. Here's a transcript of what's written in the images in case you don't want to do a bunch of zooming since it's admittedly written pretty small.
CREATIONISTS - CHILDREN OF THE STARS
The Creationists are the most ancient beings that the world knows of. Their unique, enhanced connection with the stars gives them a multitude of special abilities. As the founders of Earth and mankind, they are tasked with indirectly influencing their fate. This is a duty that is often carried out through their offspring, the seraphim.
Creationists reproduce entirely asexually. Creating offspring is a mostly unknown process, however it is known to drain massive amounts of energy and act as a catalyst for major world events.
While not containing a physical body underneath their robes, they can manifest body parts–typically hands and arms–when they deem appropriate.
Though Creationists have been long forgotten by mankind, their influence can still be seen in modern religions. (wings, stars, rainbows
Thanks for checking this out if you did :D also idk how tumblr works lol
Fenris finds a raccoon in Darktown and spends weeks training it sneak into Ander's bedroom to leave weird things on his bed, move things around and to, occasionally, steal a single sock.
2nd gen. Subaru Legacy GT BG5 Morette Headlight install pt.1
Step 1: Take them completely apart.
That will give you a chance to paint/repair the housings/masks while you complete the next steps. Take pictures of them as you do, it will ease reassembly.
Step 2: High and Low Beam harness
Use a male headlight connector to make a plug'n'play jump harness. There's 3 wires from the stock harness, high beam, low beam and ground. The Morettes have 2 wires per light, splice the 2 ground wires for the high & low beams together, to give you the needed 3 wires to match up to the stock harness. Solder everything to the male connector. Bam, now you can swap back to your original lights if needed and you won't have a rat nest of wires.
Step 3: city light/ daytime running light wiring.
These are the little bulbs (red) just below the high beam (white). After splicing a 2 pin harness to the light, splice the other end to either a DRL kit or your parking light wiring. The parking light wiring is part of the stock corner lights.
Step 4: Corner Lights (easy)
Just take a razor to these notches until your stock turn signal/parking light socket fits. Easiest part. (I did have to use an o'ring as a gasket because the one on the socket was a little too thick.)
Step 5: LHD Adjustment (low/main beam)
This is only for the low/main projector beam. There should be a tab indicating L & R on a label. Unscrew/remove the 3 bolts (red circles) separate the light, ~10mm, and twist the back half until the tab points at the R then bolt it back. It will only bolt in place in the 2 positions, so you know when it's in the right spot when the holes line up. By doing this your light cut off pattern will be thrown up to the right at street signs vs left directly into oncoming traffic. No matter how you aim the light, this is the only way for this adjustment. (Just like you have to do with the JDM kouki projector headlights only easier.)
The high beam is only adjusted by the wing nuts on the back side once mounted, easy.
Step 6: Projector Dress Up
Once you remove the 3 adjustment bolts the light comes right apart. Why not kick up the cool factor? Now is your chance to add angel/demon eyes and paint behind the projector lens. I chose to paint the chrome reflector with Vans yellow spray tint. Then I painted part of the metal cut off shield that faces the underside of the lens with yellow caliper paint (red circle). You could just paint that piece whatever you want because it's reflected out of the lens with the light off.
Step 7: Finale
Before putting them back together I put vinyl over all 3 lights in each housing. (Yellow over the high, clear over the main and amber over the corners.) Neatly wrapped up the diy jump harness and fresh bulbs. PIAA Solar Yellow H1 (low beam) and PIAA H3 Super Plasma GTX (high beam). Ready for install.
