Huaisang smirks in response to Jiang-Xiong’s complaints of tiredness. The only thing better than seeing him at Cultivation Conferences is the opportunity to flirt.

“Perhaps Jiang-Xiong just needs to learn to be more flexible,” he says. “I’d happily instruct.”

Instead of the usual dismissal, dark eyes lock onto his, Huaisang’s hand is gently lifted so that his fan obscures their faces, and Jiang-Xiong leans so close that he can feel the soft brush of lips against his ear.

“Nie-Xiong shouldn’t make promises he doesn’t intend to keep.”

As he strides off, Huaisang wonders when that changed.

He’s certainly not complaining.
