Hero Form Appearance: A combination of a fire dancer’s performance wear and YuYuYu’s Hero Form Outfits. The undersuit of the outfit is a jet black, acting as the coals to the hearth. And while the main outfit starts out as ruby red, it becomes a vibrant orange and then a shiny yellow starting at the lower half of the sleeves, the lower half of the pants, and the tailcoat. Accent colors are black, gray, silver, gold, green, and white. The shoes, gloves, armband, bracelets, headbands and belt all have patterns of pineapple sage flowers on them, and the only other accessory is a brooch on her left breast that looks like the flower. The flower’s petal shape can be seen in the tailcoat and collar.

Nov 8, 2021 - Pineapple Sage

This plant looked like this just 4 days ago but was blackened by a 29° first frost, the night after I took this photo.

It is not hardy in my 7a zone, but I always pick one or two up every year at a nursery because it is a very beautiful plant which attracts butterflies.

Hummingbirds are supposed to love the flowers of this plant also, but usually by the time this plant flowers in my garden, all the hummingbirds have already headed south for the winter.

It is a a 3-4 foot perennial shrub, that is native to Mexico. The name comes from the pineapple scent that the leaves give off when crushed.
