And you’re just really disgusting if you think so. ♡
just look at how far you’ve come!
Bodies are so cool. They are a lot smarter than you think and so resilient. Finding self love is hard, but finding something you love about your body can help you find more to love. For example: I LOVE my thighs. I love show strong they are and how they look in my jeans and even in skirts. I then learned to love my butt, because it is also strong and helps me jump, run, play volleyball, ice skate and dance. I then learned to love the entirety of my legs. They are long and sometimes a little bruised, but that’s ok, I like my bruises on my legs. Even sometimes my legs seem translucent or have little red bumps, I still love them. They remind me that I’m active. I’m starting to learn to love my waist. I wake up in the morning and it’s flatter, but at 8pm when I take a shower or stand in the mirror, I’m discouraged. But then I remember all the good food I put into my body, and how it will fuel me and keep me healthy. I even remember the one treat I had that made me feel good because it was warm and sweet. I remember that my belly is maybe a little more swollen because I drank a lot of water and tea today, and that it’s ok. One thing I am struggling to love are my arms, nose, and chest. My arms are gangly and weak, my nose is fairly large and my chest is flat. I struggle with confidence to wear tank tops or too tight of a sweater so my boobs aren’t noticed as much. I wear comfy loose sweaters or cardigans and scarves. When ever I leave the house I feel compelled to wear my one bra that adds a cup to my natural size. However, that bra broke a month ago and from that I realized how attached I was to a over priced stuffed bra that wasn’t that comfortable. I wear mostly T-shirt bras or demi bras with no extra padding. I wear braletts now, which are far more comfortable and it’s made me feel a bit more confident with my chest size. These realizations on body positivity took me 3 years and I’m still working on it. Seeing body positivity posts and natural photos of real women help tremendously. It’s a journey but I’m glad I started to find the little things I loved first, such as my eyes, my curly hair,my lips, my legs and even the freckle on my stomach, because it made me realize that they were connected to things that I didn’t like as much, and it helped me to love them a little bit more.
