Been watching a lot of tiktoks about the concept of mimics and I think it'd be really cool if I just threw one at Nico (and Lou)
But let it be a comedy at first, let the mimic be bad. It can mimic voices of loved ones but there's a rough edge to them and they get the mannerisms of the person they're pretending to be so wrong it's funny.
Then it suddenly gets mad and it becomes horrifying. Banging on the doors and shrieking, it somehow becomes a threat.
My Lou's house is warded to hell and back and has so many enchantments both because of Lou and because her dad used to be very into monster hunting/magic.
What if those fail? What if Lou feels them fail the moment they do? What if they're helpless?
I can picture it: Lou, Nico and Cecil (and maybe Will) are in Lou's room hanging out when something suddenly feels off. Lou feels the exact moment the magic fails, like a tether being cut off, and it's outside. The house is no longer safe. They're no longer safe.
Reminder they are still children, let them be afraid, let them taunt it, let them not think things through. Yes they're used to monsters but this is new. Plus this is Lou's home, logically they'd think it could not get in so they're gonna let their guard down before it suddenly goes to shit.
Idk it'd be fun to throw a non greek monster (or Irish in Lou's case) at the demigods and see what they do. It seems that the concept in regards to tiktok doesn't seem to be tied to any specific mythos (i could be wrong, i havent looked into it) so I can go ham.
