it's heart breaking knowing that there is a strong parallel between percy and luke's upbringing. both had distant fathers. both had loving mothers who would do anything to protect them. both grew resentful of the gods even as they embodied the roles of pawns in their game of chess. and yet. luke's story is what blends into the wallpaper. lurks in the background like a descending melody in a thundering chorus. something we aren't made aware of until it's too late.

Hello! thanks I am enjoying my trip and since I’ll be in the car for a few hours I’ve decided this is the best time to answer these questions.

I really like the idea of the Clarisse/Silena as a romantic ship, and I think the parallels to Achilles and Patroclus is really cool, even though when I first read the pjo books I didn’t catch on to that until I saw everyone talking about it. Then I did a little research and things made more sense and I started to see why people shipped Clarisse and Silena. And it just makes so much sense and it was so perfect regarding their characters and personalities (Clarisse’s anger, aggressiveness, and the way she holds grudges). And Silena being the traitor tied into it really nicely. While I do like both of their canon romantic pairings, I put Clarisse/Silena at the same rank, and sometimes I even forget they weren’t canon.
