the part i find very hard to believe in pjo is that scene in the last olympian when percy asks annabeth for a kiss and she goes like "yeah not now bitch". i mean?? i know they were in a middle of a battle trying to save the world or whatever, but girl. she doesn't even blink. i would NOT be able to keep it cool like that. if percy said that to me, my knees would start SHAKING. i'd mumble some gibberish and proceed to DIE the DUmbest and MOST avoidable deaTH possible in the fight.
I don't always enjoy the changes Rick makes to the series, but Sally taking in Tyson is one that I love. It was always a little weird how she just accepted him being homeless and simply asked Percy to be his friend, her giving Tyson a place to stay and reassuring him and standing firm on 'not everything that seems like a monster is one' is way better.
The empathy link scenes are so special to me. Yes, give me best friends who care about each other so deeply. Give me best friends who figure out stuff together. Give me best friends that encourage each other and support each pther and call each other out. Give me best friends that compliment each other and trust each other and believe in each other.
Percy's face when he tells Tyson that it's not in their hands whether or not he meets Poseidon. You can already see him starting to understand where Luke's coming from and why he took the decisions he did. Even if Percy himself doesn't know this yet.
