Tommy and I have only been completely vegan for a short while now. For the longest time, we’d consider ourselves “stay at home vegans”. For the past year, we’ve eaten a plant based diet while at home and indulged in whatever we wanted while out and about. It’s only been the past month or two that we’ve really committed to full time veganism. Eating out in #NYC is a breeze. It seems like there are vegan restaurants at every turn. So when I go home to #Connecticut, I’m always slightly shocked at the lack of options I have at certain restaurants. Vegan friends have suggested using the “sides” section of the menu to build a vegan friendly meal. This pic demonstrates that theory in action. 🤦🏼♀️ Luckily we had just eaten our fill of delicious vegan food at our tasting, but we wanted to look at, and taste, some rehearsal dinner options as well. Unfortunately, @citysteambrewery had only two options on the entire menu: brussel sprouts and fries. So here we are. 😂 What are your tips and tricks for dining out at not so vegan friendly restaurants? • Also, why the mini napkins?? • • • • • #vegan #plantbases #vegansofig #veganfoodshare #veganfood #plantbased #plantpowered #protein #wholefoods #veganeats #plantstrong #healthyfoodshare #veganlifestyle #dairyfree #govegan #feedfeedvegan #veganaf #easyvegan #healthy #zerowaste #zerowastehome
