The dangers of a panicking horse during a western pleasure event in 2009. Horses are wonderful animals but not knowing how to properly handle them when they spook or panic it’s dangerous for horses and the people who are supposed to handle them.

This is the biggest clusterfuck and a very well-known video in the horse community. A good example of what NOT to do around spooked horses: yell and run around with your arms flapping.

In contrast, look at a similar incident, but handled well:

Granted, Arabs are gonna just be a wee crazier than Belgian horses, but the damage that flighty Belgians can do is 10 times worse. Some of them weigh, like, 1800 lbs.
