wanted to write this post sooner and go to the library yesterday but i got sick and now ive had the same headache for the past 36 hours :(

Sempiternal by BMTH - great album !! i didnt remember knowing so many songs of this album but it's really really great, considering re-borrowing it immeiatly after haha

Captain of none by Colleen - semi instrumental semi electro ?? idrk but it was a great listen on my (very early) morning commute :) would be good to fall asleep too i think

Some say I so I say light by Ghostpoet - wikipedia says it's trip-hop and UK rap, i like discovering new subgenres. really ambiant stuff, listened to it as background when i was reading and writing the intro post for this series, i like it !

Alphabet Prison by Pleymo - trashy french metal/punk from 2006, exactly the type of stuff i like haha ! was expecting more of a avril lavigne-esque vibe but was not disapointed !

Infestissumam by Ghost - absolute BANGER !! probably my fave from this batch it's so captivating and melodic and GREAT !!! but i was WILDLY disapointed when i listened to the spotify album cuz it gets all smoothed out ?? no more depth, poor balance between the vocals and intruments, really sad :( that's why physical albums are better

American Amadeus by John Diva and the rockets of love - a bit weird, didnt really like it. was expecting something similar to Mozart l'Opéra Rock but it's not. idek how to describe it. the lyrics are fun but the music in and of itself gor on my nerves

Savage sinusoid by Igorrr - didnt like it at all, didnt even finish it

softscars by Yeule - singaporean synthpop/alt rock artist, it was a cool discovery ! i'll try to see if i can find more of their work :) in general im learning i really like east-asian punk/rock/metal bands

it has come to my attention that legendary cowboy painter mark maggiori is also the lead vocalist for the nu metal band Pleymo. wanted to share this with you, specifically.

i am so honored you decided to share this unhinged knowledge with me, dear mystery friend… holy shit, talk about the duality of man or whatever. if you had told me that my favorite cowboy painter was also in a band i would NOT have guess french nu metal in a million years, but i’m delighted

like… these came from the same brain?? people are so fascinating.
